When he left his home city of Dallas, he never thought that years later he would be coming back home out of his own free will. He got the random idea at work, completely bored out of his mind, when something clicked and the idea light bulb flashed over his head. After telling Sarafina where he was going, he stuffed the back seat of his car full of clothes and stuffed his wallet full of his savings and hit the road. Maybe taking an airplane would have been less time consuming and cheaper in gasoline, but he wanted to drive it. He had never actually taken his own road trip before, and wanted to take the scenic route just to see where it took him. A few days and hotel stays later, he found himself driving the same roads he did before he moved to Richmond. If memory lane had an exact location, it would be right here in Dallas, Texas. He drove by the same Six Flags where he met the love of his life, the same girl who was determined to put him on the right track again. When everyone else had thrown in the towel and gave up on him, she was right there to give him that extra push.
Perhaps the biggest surprise came to his uncle. Whenever his parents would become too much for Dodger to handle, he'd stay with his uncle to remove some of the tension from his family life. His parents wanted him out of their hair, anyway. He was an unruly haired thirteen-year old when he last saw his uncle, but remembered his address and that bright red truck he always drove. Everything looked just like he had left it, the yard was decorated with pink flamingos (you could thank his aunt for that) and a mixed variety of flowers. When he opened that front door, his uncle was overwhelmed with the reality that his nephew had finally come back home where he knew he would always belong. But as he drove home through the winding roads and scenic views, all he could think about was Sarafina. Talking to her on the phone just wasn't the same was talking to her in person, he needed to hear her voice again and see her face. As he parked his blue Challenger, he tossed the keys into his pockets and knocked on her dorm room door.

Sarafina worried night and day about Dodger ever since he left for Dallas, Texas, his hometown. She could only wonder why he wanted to go back but then again he hasn't been home in a few years ever since he came to California, the day he drove out the gates life seemed so different without him here, infact life seemed boring. Dodger was the guy of her dreams, she knew it ever since she met him. Even though the first couple weeks of knowing eachother was rough she helped him get through it, Dodger had given her a lot to live for and he had been there for her since the day they met at Six Flags. Rembering the day she met Dodger, who was playin his guitar and singing his heart out on stage, brought a smile to her face, and believe it or not it was love at first sight.
The more he was gone, the more she missed and wanted to see him again, hearing his voice on the phone brought her some comfort but it made her miss him more. When she heard that he was on his way home, she couldn't help but smile. Dodger meant so much to her he had become her life source and in a month she was to marry him and become his witch she wanted more then anything and she was gonna have a family with him some time at the start of next year witch she was looking forward to, Dodger was giving her everything she thought she would never have, a husband, a family, a bright future and she was thankful for it. When she heard the sound of knocking on her door, she sat up from her bed walking towards the door she put her hand on the doorknob turning it when she opened the door and saw who it was she felt the world stop, the lonliness she felt when he left was gone. Without even thinking, she jumped into his arms wrapping her legs around his waist "I missed you so much." She said to him softly.

He'd been driving since he managed to get his stuff together at the hotel earlier that morning, speeding past other cars down the highway until he reached California. After that, all he could think about was coming to her dorm after being away from her for all those weeks. After a few seconds, she opened the door and jumped into his arms faster than he could blink an eye. "Well, hello there." Dodger smiled at her, almost speechless and overwhelmed with joy as she jumped into his arms. She probably could have knocked him down too if he wasn't paying attention, not like he would mind that though. "I really missed you too." So maybe the word "really" was a bit of an understatement, he loved her more than he loved himself and that was saying something. He took her for granted more often than he should, she was the needle in a haystack that he'd been asking for his entire life.
"My entire body feels like Jell-O." It took him almost a week just to drive his way through the states, weaving in and out of the mountains and blazing through the prairies. The hotel and rest stops seemed to help with the sleep deprivation, but road trips were never easy and would wear a person out just like that. He jumped right back into that signature Texas summer air, and found himself right where he knew he should be.

Sarafina loved the feeling of his arms around her again, in his arms she felt safe, protected and loved. Dodger was her everthing, something that she couldn't live without and probably the one that kept her going ever since her dad started drinking. When she heard his voice she let out a soft sigh, his voice was music to her ears, the voice of an angel nobody could compare to how she felt for Dodger. She loved Dodger more then anything, she would do anything for him. She placed a hand on the back of his head feeling his hair between her fingers, she let out a content sigh, now that he was back she felt complete again. When she heard his words about how much he missed her a smile appeared on her face, she missed him dearly. A small chuckle escaped her as he said how his entire body fel like Jell-O,"I bet, that was a long drive there and back. But i'm glad your back safe and sound." She said as she looked at him face to face, looking into his faded blue eyes while the other hand remained on the back of his head the other hand gently stroked the side of his face before she leaned in and kissed him like she's been wanting to ever since she saw him when she opened the door.
OOC: Yucky post.

"You have no idea how glad I am to be home." He had never felt so happy to be somewhere in his entire life than he was feeling now. She had that effect on him, the way she could make his whole world stop with just a single look. He was a diamond in the rough, and she was stubborn and persistent enough to polish him up. "Why don't we go inside before I pass out?" Dodger smirked, a mischievous grin that was looked just as exhausted as he felt. He was lacking much needed rest, but fought off the sleep deprivation as she held onto him, kissing her on the forehead.
He was still carrying her as he kicked the door shut with his foot, sitting her on the couch as he walked into her kitchen, looking for something to drink. "So, how sad and miserable where you without me?" Dodger smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as he opened his can of Dr. Pepper.

Sarafina couldn't help but smile at him, I have an idea. She said sweetly to him, it seemed like only a few days ago they met at Six Flags, falling for eachother and now she was going to merry him soon, and she couldn't be more happy then wanting to merry Dodger and start a family with him. Of course the family was coming sooner then expected but she was happy cause Dodger was still there and she was he was, "Good idea, I don't want you fainting on me now do I? She said playfully, a smile appeared on her face as he kissed her on the forehead.
She chuckled as he put her on the couch, watching him walk into the kitchen part of her dorm a smirk appeared on her face as he raided her fridge getting a Dr. Pepper. She felt his arm wrapped around her shoulders, she moved closer to him smiling loving how close she was to him, "You were all that I could think about, nothing else was on my mind except you. She said sweetly, resting her head on his shoulder.

Dodger couldn't help but smile at her. "Nope, because then you'd have to carry me inside and throw me on the couch." And that would definitely be easier said than done. He took another drink of the ice cold Dr. Pepper before sitting it down on the table, looking up at her as she smiled at him. He was glad he got to venture out away from a while, and see apart of the country that he hadn't seen in years and take a vacation from the chaos at Richmond High. Every day he was a little more shocked that he managed to survive high school, as much as he thought it was going to be the end of him. For the next few days, all he wanted to do was to lay on this couch with her and watch zombie movies until their brains melted.
"And only you can understand my weirdness." Dodger looked up at her with a quirky grin.

Sarafina laughed at his comment, "That would be impossible for me to carry you, I would have to drag you in like a dead body and leave you on the floor. And you would wake up with rug burns on your back. She said playfully. She could reasly tell that he was tired, and she would imagine he would be, after driving to and from Texas must've been on hell of a drive but she couldn't be more happy that he was back and holding her, she rested her head on his shoulder, laughing at his comment about how she can only understand his weirdness, "Of course, and i'm probably the only one who can stand you when your not being weird. She said before kissing his cheek, "So what do you want to do since your home? She asked smiling sweetly at him.

He playfully scoffed at her comment, seeing her attempt to actually carry him would be something he would definitely pay to see. She might have better luck just leaving him outside. But since he successfully made it to her couch without passing out, neither of them had anything to worry about. "Nobody knows how you do it, either. Especially me." Dodger replied with a smirk, because he could have an ornery streak if he was really feeling up to it. Driving to Texas had been somewhat eye-opening for him, telling him he only had a few more months to pull himself together. He needed her more than he had ever needed anything else in his life, she was his life.
"Can we have a zombie movie marathon and pig out on popcorn and candy?" Dodger looked at her and smiled, knowing she couldn't say no to a movie marathon with him after he had been gone for those few weeks. "I've been wanting to do that since the day I left." He smirked at her with that mischievous grin of his, kissing her on the cheek.

She even wondered if she would even be able to drag Dodger in with as much effort as she could put into it but at least someone wouldn't snatch his wallet or car keys, she could only wonder what would happen if Dodger woke up to find out that his keys were missing probably freak out more then to find out his wallet was missing. Sarafina chuckled, "I got a lot of practice when we were just friends in Dallas. She replied playfully, tilting her head to the side giving him an innocent look. Sarafina could tell that something had changed in Dodger, but it seemed something good but she couldn't put her finger on it maybe she would figure it out later.
She raised an eyebrow at Dodger's idea, she thought about it for a few seconds, "That actually sounds fun. She said. Then she felt him kiss her cheek, she looked over at him with a smile on her face,"I can tell. Kisses his lips, "You get the movies, i'll get the popcorn ready." As she gets up and put a bag of popcorn in the microwave.

Dodger sat back up as she told him to pick out the movies, which he did so with a smile on his face. He walked over to her movie collection that completely filled three entire shelves, almost as impressive as his own movie collection. "Of course it sounds like fun, it's a zombie movie marathon! Better yet, you get to spend it with me." Dodger smirked at her as she got up to go pop themselves some popcorn. It was probably a good idea that she was the one making the popcorn and not him, because he had a tendency to burn everything that he attempted to cook. It was a good thing she wasn't marrying him for his culinary abilities.
"Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Day Of The Dead, and Zombieland just for kicks." He tossed the movies onto the couch and opened the Dawn of the Dead case, popping the disk into the DVD player.

Sarafina smiled at Dodger's comment, it was true zombie movies where the best and of course she loved spending time with Dodger it was her favorite past time and she didn't want it any different then from that. When the microwaved beep, she took out the bag, opened it and poured it into the bowl tossing the bag into the trash can "Zombieland, the tips to survive a Zombie uprising. Laughing playfully.
She took out the salt and added a bit of that before placing it back on the counter, then walked over to the couch, placing the bowl of popcorn on the table then went to her backpack then took out another DVD, unopened. She walked over to Dodger holding up a DVD titled 28 Weeks Later, "It's the second to 28 Days Later, I heard it's better then the first one. She said smiling. Then placed it on top of the DVD player, before walking back over to the couch.

"Rule number one. Cardio." He said with a smirk, plopping down on the couch as she microwaved the popcorn and poured it into a bowl that he would probably not be sharing unless she fought him for it. Tallahassee and Dodger had one thing in common, in the event of a zombie uprising the two of them would risk it all just to enjoy their favorite sugary treats to matter how many Hummers they had to steal in the process. He looked over at Sarafina and smiled, with an immense feeling of joy in his smile. As soon as she set the bowl on the table, he smirked and snatched it before she had the chance to come after it. "You'll have to earn this popcorn."
After she made the obvious mistake of presenting him with food, she took out 28 Weeks Later insisting it was a better movie. Hey, as long as it involves brains and zombies he was perfectly alright with that. "Aww, and if you get scared I'll be right here to comfort you." She was a tough cookie and hardly glitched at these types of movies, but he really just liked taunting her.

Sarafina smiled at his comment, it was pretty impressive on how Dodger could remember lines from movies even after months of watching it once then wathcing it again a few weeks, or months later, "Witch you'll be seriously lacking after this pigout. She teased looking over at Dodger with a teasing him, she loved that Dodger could take a joke even when it's playful insult since she liked teasing him about being a football player and being a bottomless pit since he ate so much. When he snatched the bowl of popcorn she scoffed at his bottom, "I can either earn it, or I can just make another one and save me the trouble" She said with a flirtatious yet teasing look on her face.
Sarafina rolled her eyes playfully at his last comment, "Love, we both know it would be the other way around." She said sitting on the couch not laying down just yet, but wanting to see what he would do if she just stayed their sitting since the space was obviously taken by the bowl of popcorn he was protecting.

"Is that a fat joke?" He playfully scoffed, tossing a handful of popcorn at her as she casually explained to him she could easily saunter into the kitchen and make more popcorn. After a day of nonstop driving, just being able sprawl out on her couch with a bowl of popcorn in his lap was definitely a bonus. He wondered how long they'd be awake before the overall lack of sleep got to them. It wouldn't surprise him if he ended up being the first to crash. Dodger looked at her with a mischievous grin, taking another handful of popcorn and eating it.
"Suuuure, whatever you say." He raised an eyebrow at her as she sat down on the couch. She didn't lay down or attempt to make a run for the popcorn bowl, but instead she sat there. "Well, more couch room for me!" He smirked, stretching out on the couch.
