Nobody had ever had such a profound effect on him than she did, and as proud as he was he wasn't afraid to admit she was making changes for the better. He used to think that believing in people was such a hopeless cause that there was no positive outcome for him...no matter how badly he fought for it. But people could change. It wasn't going to be easy, and he fought it every step of the way until he finally grew tired of putting up a fight anymore. "I...I love you too." More than I will ever be able to find the words to tell you. Her soft hands found their face on the side of his face, softly holding their place there as his blue eyes stared into hers.
"I'm so weird...I can't stop messing with your hair."

If there was one thing Sarafina would probably wouldn't understand, it would be what made her so different from the other girls that she caught Dodger's eye. From day one of being together he told her that she was different, but how was she different? She had hair, a mouth, two eyes everything that a normal human girl had. What made her so different that made Dodger fall in love with her? She would probably never know the answer to the question but she was glad that she was Dodger's.
A small chuckle escaped her after his comment about her hair, "Don't worry i'm weird to...Your mane of a hair is like a magnet for my hands." She said smiling up at him.

He liked the way she worded that, and he couldn't fight the urge to laugh at her for it too. Reaching for his hair, he fluffed it up just enough to make it stick up more than it already was, making it look even messier than it did. Judging by the way his hair looked, he might get some questionable looks if he walked around outside without fixing it first. "Yeah, you are pretty weird." Dodger couldn't resist, it was too easy of a target to poke some playful fun at her. Besides, he had to balance out the sweetness with a little good old fashioned "pain in the ass" comment.
"I know, you just loooooooove this gorgeous head of hair." Resting his chin in the palm of his hand, he looked up at her and smiled. "But that's okay, cause I kinda like it too."

Sarafina couldn't help but scoff at Dodger's comment, " All I heard in that sentence was "You are pretty." She said to him cutting off the weird part of the sentence. She laughed as Dodger fluffed up his hair, "It's so fluffy, i'm gonna die!...Sorry I couldn't help myself. She said laughing, noticing how weird his hair looked after he fluffed it up, " You know some people are ask questions if you leave with your hair like that right." She snickered. If there was one thing Dodger could do, it was make her laugh continously, even on her darkest day he knew how to make her laugh.
"I do, but my favorits are blue eyes. She said smiling at him, as she snuggled up next to him, she leaned up and kisses him lovingly, but what she was doing right now was doing her favorite thing, snuggling up next to him there was nothing that could keep her from cuddling with Dodger.

At least they could be weird together, because beneath the "cool guy" front he tried to present to people on the inside, he was a "nerd" who had a horror movie collection that would blow your socks off. Yeah, so being a movie buff didn't classify him as a cliche nerd, but whatever. Zombie movies were his forte, having more shelf space occupied with his movies than anything else in the dorm. "I think "pretty" is such an understatement. I think the word I'm looking for is beautiful." Dodger was well aware of the ways to really make her smile, and calling her beautiful was one of them. But he wasn't the type to say something like that if he didn't mean and right now, he really meant it. With another hair flip, a shy smile found its way onto his lips and he sat there, stuck in that pose.
"Nah, if you really wanna make it obvious, you gotta mess up your clothes." Ruffling his shirt so that it wrinkled, he sat up and smirked. "Not that I'm an expert or anything..."

Sarafina couldn't help but blush when he called her beautiful, he was the only one who called her that she knew that it would stay that way. This moment couldn't be more perfect, it was just them two at her dorm laying nothing in pure silence they were in their own little world and nobody else was in it. And that was the way Sarafina liked it, when she noticed that shy smile that Dodger had on his face, she leaned up and placed a lovingly kiss on his lips. Dodger won her heart the moment he stepped out of rehab sober, and then on it was true love, sure there were a few bumps in the road when their relationship got deeper but they were still together.
Sarafina couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at him, and laugh as he ruffled up his shirt so it came out wrinkled, Dodger could always make her laugh no matter what the circumstances were, "Oh yeah, that's gonna make it obvious." Smiling at him sweetly.

Fluffing his hair up just a little bit longer, he tilted his head to the side and shrugged his shoulders. "I would totally walk around in public with crazy sex hair, you know I would." And you wouldn't even have to pay him for it either. Yeah, his judgment was less than spectacular and he would do just about anything for the right price. But if you really wanted him to do something out of character, "snow cone" was the magic word. It was a much healthier addiction than the alcohol was and if he hadn't found something he liked more than the drinks, he probably wouldn't have been able to kick his old habit. Still, some of his old habits were harder to kill and no matter how he tried they seemed to find a way to sneak back into his life. Even if smoking cigarettes was a miserable habit he needed to kick, at least he was making progress with that one.
"People might think I was up to something with this hair." Dodger raised an eyebrow at her, with a mischievous grin that he couldn't get off of his face.

Sarafina watched him fluff up his hair more, she shook her head with a smile on her face "I know you would, your just awesome like that." She replied smiling at him. Dodger may have his days when he was a complete pain in ass, but those others days he was just like a kid who was looking for some time of laughter, and a good time. But Sarafina knew that their was a different Dodger that was deep down their somewhere that hardly came out, and that was the Dodger she was witnessing a few moments ago, the fragile, one who was scared of something. But Sarafina would always stick by his side, he had given up so much for her and she couldn't leave him for that, it was never going to happen. Sarafina took a quick look at Beau who was passed out on her bed, then to Beau who found a comfortable spot on the floor.
Saraifna looked back up to Dodger, she giggled "More like us, since I'm sure a few people saw me jump into your arms." She said playfully. Suddenly she felt something, a kick, that kick came from the life that was growing inside her, "Dodger.... She said softly, she gently took his hand, and placed it on her stomach as his hand made contact Ravi started to kick more as if knowing who that hand belonged to, "I think he knows who that hand is". She said looking up at Dodger with a smile.

After enough nonsense and hair fluffing, he decided to plop back down on his pillow, comfortably grabbing the covers and wrapping them around himself. "Sometimes I think "stupid" might be the better word to use." He knew he wasn't always the sharpest tool in the shed or the brightest crayon in the box, but that was fine by him. It didn't take many brain cells to eat a snow cone. However there was that fragile and vulnerable side to him that he tried to hard to hide from everyone else, almost pretending as if that part of him had never existed. As far as everyone else was concerned, Dodger was just as nonchalant and laid back about this as he wanted to be. Lying to yourself was far worse than lying to someone else, but he needed to tell himself something to make him believe it.
Dodger shook his head. "No, your hair is too....not messy. I need to fix that." With one hand, he then proceeded to run it through her hair enough times to poof it up some, messing it up. Dodger winked at her, a mischievous glow in his already deviant eyes. "There you go. Perfect." Sarafina's hand took his in hers and pulled it towards her, before finally resting it on her stomach. "I wonder how he knows that's my hand..."

Sarafina couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at him, she shook her head at him as he called himself stupid "Your not stupid, your one of a kind. And that's why I love you." She replied as she looked down at him sitting up on the couch as he laid down, she smiled at him as he pulled up the covers, and that was true Dodger is one of a kind, that's why she loved him. Before Sarafina met him at Six Flags in Dallas, Texas his hometown things were rough for her, she was still living with that patheic use of a father and when Dodger got out of rehab and saw a big black and blue bruise on her face, a long with a busted lip Dodger, invited her to stay with him and she has ever since. When she watched Dodger pull up the covers she couldn't help but smirk, Dodger wasn't the one you wanted to share a small bed with, he was a bed hog and a cover hog it was a queen size bed you wanted with someone with Dodger, with pleanty of covers to spear.
Sarafina looked at Dodger with a raised eyebrow as he started to walk about how her hair was not so messy and didn't approve of that, he started to run his hand through her hair over and over again a giggle escaped her as he continued, "I'm glad you approve." She said smiling sweetly at him, she rested her hand on top of Dodgers as Ravi continued to kick " He's your son, i'm positive he knows who his father is." Smiling at him, before leaning in and kissing him.

"I barely passed the twelfth grade. If I wouldn't have paid the nerds to do my homework, well I would have failed." Ten bucks to have some freshman in his Algebra class to scribble down the correct answers wasn't too bad of a price. That is, until his teacher finally caught up with his little plan and served him with two weeks of after school detention. Detention was extra fun when you had to scrape the gum from underneath the desks for an entire two hours. When Dodger thought about high school and the memories that tagged along with it, never in his entire life did he anticipate that his final year there would change his life as much as he did. The idea of marriage never even crossed his mind until he met the sassy blonde he was married to now.
It was just a hand, only just a hand. But for some reason he couldn't wrap his mind around, Ravi could recognize the feeling of that hand. "Maybe he recognizes my voice." There wasn't a day that would go by without him greeting both Sassifrass and Ravioli, as he preferred to call him.

Sarafina remembered how Dodger would pay nerds to do his homework until he got caught by one of the teachers and he ended up getting two long weeks of detention. But luckly Dodger learned from that mistake and came to her to help him with her homework, of course there were moments when Dodger got the simplest problem wrong but hey that was life. She remembered how Dodger proposed to her, they went to get snowcones, then went to the park and after a few minutes Marv came out of the back of Dodger's old Challenger Ruby. Sarafina didn' understand how she couldn't see that little Boston Terrier int he backseat, but when Dodger told her that Marv had something for her, and around Marv's collar was a engagment ring that was in shape of a horsehead. And to this day she still had it in her jewelry box on the self, she will always remember how Dodger proposed to her.
Sarafina knew that Dodger and Ravi would get along when Ravi came into the world witch wasn't too far off. She feels Ravi kick harder at her stomach when she hears Dodger's voice again, a smile came onto her face "And appearently he likes hearing your voice." Smiling at him, she laid back down next to him, his hand resting on her stomach with her hand on top of his.

How did Ravi know that the voice he was hearing belonged to Dodger? Maybe that was something he didn't understand, but anytime Dodger would say something close enough to Sarafina's stomach, the little rascal had a kicking fit. "I think you're right, it seems like he's trying to kick his way out of there." Dodger looked up at her with a grin, his hand laying underneath hers. "I don't think he understands a word I'm saying though, and that's probably a good thing." When you cursed like a sailor and used words most people normally tried to avoid, Dodger could only hope Ravi couldn't understand a thing he said. He would have to fix that mouth of his though, and he had a feeling Sarafina wouldn't let him forget it.
"Sometimes I wonder who he's gonna be more like. Me or you." With a smirk, Dodger rested his chin in the palm of his hand as he sat back up again.

By the way Ravi was kicking at her stomach she could already tell that Ravi loved his father, Sarafina herself didn't know how she came up with Ravi's name. It just popped in her head one day and she liked at and she loved Dodger's middle name so Ravi's full name was going to be Ravi Taylor Moore. But there was one thing that she remembered clearly, the day she found out their were going to have a boy, of course Dodger was in Texas and when she told him, he seemed excited and she could only hope that he would stay that way, a smile appeared on her face "He want's out, he's quiet the kicker. I'm sure he's eager to see his father. He's gonna love you and i'm positive about that."She said smiling at Dodger as he sat up. Sarafina couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Dodger at his next comment, he did have a point, she knew Dodger would have to work on that mouth of his when Ravi was born,"You do know your gonna have to work on that." She teased playfully.
" I guess we will have to just wait and see., maybe he'll be a little like both of us. She said smiling up at him, she didn't have any idea about who Ravi is going to be more like. But she was anxious to find out, but she knew one thing, Dodger was going to make him a greasemonkey for cars. That was certain.

There she went again, telling him that Ravi was going to go absolutely crazy over him and he would suddenly figure everything out and get it right. Unfortunately for him, raising kids didn't come with an instruction manual and he wouldn't be able to find Ravi for Dummies at the local bookstore. "All I know is that you're gonna be the one who teaches him how to drive. Unless you want him driving around like I do." The accelerator was Dodger's best friend, with the sound of a running engine drowning out any outside noise. When his dad finally caved and tossed Dodger the keys to his old car, he managed to save up enough change to buy a nice and shiny, brand new red Challenger. Sassifrass had a little too much fun rolling her eyes at him, never really understanding why he got so overprotective over his car and the Ducati. He couldn't really explain it either, but he really liked all that horsepower. "I don't know, I think he'll want to see you first. After all, you've been carrying him around."
With his hand still under hers, Dodger took another handful popcorn and tossed some of it at Marv, who sleepily opened his eyes as a popcorn kernel hit him on the face. "I have a lot of things I really should start working on, now that I think of it." Maybe one month wasn't enough time...
