Sarafina walked hesitantly into her english class, she didn't want to be here especially since what happened a few weeks back, her drunk father actually came onto the campus and started to call out for her, Sarafina never thought he would actually do that but he did. And now everyone knew about her personal life and why she didn't like talking about her home life. She walked to the back of the room keeping her head down she could hear the whispers that people were saying, appearently the little show that her father caused was the talk of the week. After the tardy bell rang the teacher walked into the classroom, and with the look that she saw from the teacher made her know that everyone even the teachers were talking about it. After a few minutes of seeing eyes glancing at her she closed her book got up from her seat and started to walk out of the class ignoring the teacher, she continued to walk away from him she put her sweater hood over her head as she stepped out into the rain.
Walking over to her dorm, she wiped a tear away from her cheek as she finally made it to her dorm, she tossed her backpack to the ground, it landed with a thud. Sarafina walked over to the bathroom, placing her hands onto the counter before she looked at herself in the mirror "Well everyone knows, you waste of space." She said to herself, calling herself what her father would call her when he was drunk, she would never ever go back to father ever, even if he would go back to rehab and actually got sober Like that would ever happen She thought to herself. She walked back to her bedroom grabbed a jean jacket, putting it over her sweater Sarafina wanted to get out of this hellhole. She walked down the stairs out of the dorms, and started to make her way to Richmond Lake.
It seemed like forever passed before she finally reached Richmond Lake, she saw the crowds of people walking in the rain to get to work or wherever they needed to get to. She didn't care as long as she was alone, she walked over to a tree that would give her better protection from the rain. If she was still at school, she would have more eyes gazing at her and people talking about her, but now she wasn't at school she was where nobody knew her. What she learned from that experiance with her father is that she couldn't trust anyone. Not her best friends, nobody. Sarafina sighed deeply as she leaned against the tree, all she could hear was the rain hitting the ground, it was quite and peaceful.

He wanted to go anywhere but home. It was too nice of a night to be spending at home when he could go out for a walk in the moonlight. The scenery seemed almost mystical, everything so perfect and undisturbed. But as he walked, he spotted a figure leaned against a tree closest to the lake. Even from afar, he knew who the girl was. There was only one blond he'd really cared for here at Richmond, and that girl was named Sarafina.
Less than a week ago, Dodger had the displeasure of meeting her father. He was a low excuse for a man, swearing and spitting vicious words at anybody who would listen. Sarafina was the polar opposite of her father. Sweet, loving, and compassionate. It was no surprise that he found himself falling for her a little bit more each time he saw her.
"Hey."

Sarafina let out a soft sigh if there was thing she was able to do, it would be able to get away from here, far away from Richmond and a new place where nobody knew who she was, nobody knew her father. She zipped up her jacket trying to keep herself warm, it was then she heard the sound of footsteps getting closer to. She turned her head to see someone she actually trusted more then anyone here at Richmond, Dodger Moore.
Sarafina owed Dodger alot for helping her out with her father last week, infact it was last week she noticed that she started to have feelings for Dodger. He was protective, kind, and sweet to her and accepeted her for who she was not because of who her father was "Hey Dodger." She said withe a small smile.

He couldn't help but notice how cold it as getting, he could even see his breath as he took a deep breath of the brisk night air. "You look a little cold. My car's parked a few feet away if you wanna warm up." Quite frankly, the prospect of sitting in a warm car sounded a lot nicer to him than being out here in the winter cold. He had always been a summer kind of guy at heart, growing up in Texas had raised him to be accustomed to the heat and not very tolerant of the cold.
Since he last saw Sarafina, she had been all he could think about. Her safety and happiness were the most important things to him at the moment, and the thought of seeing her unhappy was killing him.
"How've you been? I haven't seen you since...well, you know."

Sarafina was actually getting cold a sweater and a jacket wasn't enough, a cold breeze started to blow moving the dead leaves on the floor then the trees started to sway with the wind. Sarafina could see her breath, when Dodger mentioned his car was only a few feet away from them. Sarafina slightly nodded her head then started to walk with him to the car, she got into the passenger seat of his Challenger.
She looked over at Dodge as he asked hows she has been since the day her dad decided to come over and make her day a living hell at Richmond high school, she looked away and slightly hesitated before answering "It hasn't been easy Dodge, it hasn't been easy at all. Even though it's almost been a week I know people are talking about it, the way they stare at me it's not that hard to find out what they are thinking. I actually ended up ditching and leaving the school. It appears I can only trust so many people. She said to him, then sat back in the seat fully, looking up at the hood of the car before looking infront of her again.

Dodger slid into the driver's seat of his car and started it to let the heat kick in. Another fantastic thing about cars was that they warmed up pretty quick. It was peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what they needed. They needed a break from the fierce reality of the real world, and this was their temporary piece of heaven. "It's tough being on your own, not knowing you can trust and who you can't. I've been on my own since my Sophomore year. But you're not exactly on your own. You've always got me. He'd be there for her, even when nobody else was.

Sarafina heard the sound of the car starting then it started to warm witch felt really nice especially since the wind started to slowly pick up. Sarafina looked over to Dodger he had been so nice and kind to her since the first day they met at the basketball courts at Del Norte Park. She didn't know what she would do without Dodger, sure she head another close friend named Semper but he was busy since he's had his eyes set on her other best friend Chicago. Sarafina listened to Dodger he was making alot of sense, a small smile appeared on her face as he said that he would always be there for her, "And you've always got me Dodger." She said with a small smile, gently placing her hand on top of his while looking into his eyes.

There was something about Sarafina that he couldn't describe. He loved the way she looked at him with those soft eyes of hers. She was beautiful, inside and out. Life might deal them some difficult cards at times, but they weren't gonna let it get them down. Dodger looked at Sarafina again, falling into her eyes. They were pulling him in and he didn't want to look away. Without hesitation, he leaned towards her and kissed her right then and there.

Sarafina continued to look into Dodger's eyes he was so different from the other guys, he was the one who made her feel that life was worth living for. She was so caught into his eyes she didn't notice how he was leaning closer to her, but when she finally felt his lips against hers she felt a tingles go through her body. But she didn't pull away from it, closing her eyes she accepted the kiss she lifted her free hand and placed and it on the side of neck.

When his lips collided with hers, everything felt so right. He was glad he had listened to his gut feeling for once and decided to take a late night drive to he lake. She seemed a little caught off guard, but she didn't pull away either. Her father might have been an asshole to her, but when times got tough she could always count on Dodge to be there for her. He felt a warm hand wrapping around his neck as she leaned in closer.

Sarafina felt her heart leap as their lips continued to touch eachother. As her hand continued to rest on his neck she felt his soft skin under her head, after a few moments she gently pulled away from him gently resting her head against. She couldn't help but smile at him, she just had her first kiss and it was just how she would imagine it gentle and perfect. The way Dodger treated her was giving her something to live for how gentle he was with her, and how he cared for her, "Dodger, does this mean we're..." She couldn't finish that sentence this moment was too perfect her.

He smiled at her, "Together?" Dodger said, finishing her sentence while softly running a hand through her golden blonde hair. He was hoping she'd agree to be with him, but judging by the look in her eyes things would be going his way. Despite his bad boy attitude and his past, he was truly a good kid on the inside. Even if he rarely let that side of him show. "Yeah, I guess it does." He flashed a million dollar smile at her, unable to believe how perfect this moment was.

Sarafina felt his hand go through her hair as he finished her sentence, she couldn't help but smile. It seemed he had the same idea on his mind witch was good, afterall she never thought she would meet someone as nice as Dodger. Sarafina noticed he never spoke of his past, but she didn't care about that, if he did something wrong Sarafina wouldn't care at all. Dodger was different from other guys even if he had the bad boy vibe to him, but he was the good bad boy type. When she heard his answer to the question a small smile formed on her lips she then leaned towards him, kissing him.

He looked at her wondering what thoughts were going through her mind at that moment. Whatever she had on her mind, it must have been something good because she put her lips on his and kissed him again. Sarafina didn't know a lot about him, but neither did most people. Dodge didn't like talking about his parents or his bad boy past, so he didn't. But like all secrets, they would eventually come back to haunt him. He had made some bad choices in his past, but he was a different person now. He just hoped Sarafina wouldn't judge him for it.
