Today was her shift at Starbucks and she never was late for anything. She walked into Starbucks and got behind the counter. She got the machines going and put the open sign in the window. She put her apron on with a big smile on her face. She loved working. It helped with her studio time. She pour her a shot of expresso and got to work. She waited for someone to come in and order a coffee. She proped her head and her hand and waited for some customers. She got out her book and started reading one of her favorite stories. She was on the seventh chapter when she heard the door ring, meaning there was a customer.
"Hi, what can i get for you?" Never laying my eyes on the person until I turned around.

Walking in wearing a polka-dotted black sweater and stretchy black pants with her nice black ballet slippers, Danica was feeling the type of exhaustion only Starbucks could cure. She took off her fluffy, black wool beret and loosened her scarf.
"Hey! How're you doing this morning? Can I get a Hazelnut Mocha? They're my fav!" She smiled, glancing around. The place didn't have the aroma of coffee going yet and no one was in the place except this girl, so she figured they'd just opened.
She realized the girl was about her age and curiosity made her ask, "So do you go to Richmond High? I'm a sophomore there. My name's Danica, but everyone calls me Danny." While the girl was really slender with a pale complexion, she had the prettiest black hair and stunning green eyes.

"Sure. That's on of my favorites too. Yes, I got to Richmond High. My name's Sophia Blackwood. Nice to meet you. I'm a senior there. This is just my part time job so I can get a new place. I'm sure my father would give me anything I ask for but I want to earn my own way" She said as she made her Hazelnut Mocha. She handed her the drink and said " One Hazelnut Mocha, do you want anything else. If not that comes to 5.75"

Danny looked at the pastries longingly. "I'd really like a pastry. I gotta keep the figure though, ya know?" She laughed. She walked to the counter and took her drink. She took a quick sip because it was really hot. "Wow, this is great." She dug into her pocket for the money. She pulled out six dollars and handed it across the counter. "Go ahead and keep the change. Wow a whole quarter, right?" She smiled.
Grabbing some napkins, she took a seat nearest the counter so she could talk to Sophia while she sipped her Mocha. It was full of flavor, just the way she liked it. Sometimes people made it weak and when you're paying close to six dollars for a cup of coffee, it better be just the way you liked it! And this definitely passed the test.
"You make a great mocha. How long have you worked here? Is it pretty decent?" She didn't mean to bombard the girl with questions, but she could already feel the caffeine flowing through her. She was a skinny girl with a fast metabolism and the caffeine really did hit her like a ton of bricks. She was grinning like a fool.

Sophia wiped off the counter and went to sit down where the girl just sat. She noticed that the girl was really enjoying her hazlenut mocha. She asked how long she had been working there. "About 3 years. It gives me something to do in between school and dance lessons. I have alot going on and I need a way to escape the craziness so I got a job. I've been making alot of mochas and frappe's. Be careful thought, the caffeine can go straight to your head sometimes. I't's hard getting it just right but I've made enough of them to know what's what. I could probably make one with my eyes closed but wouldn't recommend because you could get hurt working with the machines. So what classes do you have? Maybe I'll be in some of them"
