Rosy-Mae's last period of the day was coming to a close. She tapped the eraser on the bottom of her pencil against her desk impatiently, blocking out the droning words of the teacher. She gnashed her teeth as she glanced at the clock slowly ticking by. A sudden stab of irritation coursed through her, making her body jolt, and her muscles stiffen. Come on, you insignificant attempt to count time! HURRY!
The ring of a bell calmed her instantly. Rosy let out a sigh of relief, slouching in her chair. The daughter of Thanatos scooped up her textbook, notebook, and pencil, and scrambled to get out of her chair.
Rosy-Mae stopped moving. Slowly, she turned around, glaring at the teacher. She let out a snort, and growled to the boy beside her, "Bumbling oaf thinks we're nothing but a bunch of ignorant slugs."

Alysander stared ahead at the white board. He jotted down a few notes here and there but the lesson was the same that they always went through. To be honest. he understood everything they were learning, but he was being forced to take the class either way. Slouching a bit more in his seat, he glanced to the clock and then away again, hoping that the teacher finished up his rant soon enough. Hearing the grumble of a girl next to him, he glanced over slowly and then away again, unsure of why she was doing so.
When she spoke to him, to say that he was taken off guard was an understatement. He glanced over at her again, unsure if she was really talking to him but when he saw that she was, he responded in a soft, even voice.
"I know. Its as if he thinks that we wish for our lives to revolve around his damn lectures...we have better things to do than sleep in his class." He glanced back to the clock and then to his paper again that held his notes. He hadn't gotten much down and figured, why bother? Shutting his note book, he slipped it into his bag and sat back in his seat, looking back over to the girl.
"I shouldn't even be in this class. I am being forced to take it because of the credits....I need them in order to get into the college of my choosing and to be honest, if I could shoot the teacher and leave, I just might..." He gave a small smirk and looked away again, sure she wouldn't want to hear him rant about his feelings towards the class. He probably just ruined another conversation with a student.
((ooc: Your post is fine. No worries.))

(ooc: ) BIC: She was happily surprised that the boy had agreed with her in an intelligent manner; no like's, no totally's, and he even refrained from ending "I know" with "right?". Rosy-Mae had expected such annoying word usage, judging from his symmetrical facial features that the boy was nothing more than a meat-headed athlete who may or may not had found a liking in steroids.
Rosy-Mae couldn't help herself; she grinned - not smirked, but grinned! Though it was apparent that the junior wasn't accustomed to the act; her lips were as thin as the lines on the page, showing off a dazzling array of white, gnashed teeth, and instead of making her eyes gleefully twinkle like a Christmas tree, they darkened and seemed to sink into her sockets, like an evil-doer hurrying into his lair.
"Glad you feel that way," she said, loud enough for the teacher, who was sorting through some papers, could hear. "But if this class is the only way you can get into college, I'd rather burn the campus down."
The teacher glared at them, and with a huffy snort collected the rest of the homework papers and stomped off. Rosy-Mae watched him leave, and as he slammed the door closed behind him she couldn't help but snicker. "Wish he had stayed a little longer. I would have loved to comment on a few other things..."[/color]

Alysander found this humorous. She had actually agreed with him. Unexpected to say the least. Normally, most students would have found his words either completely aggravating or utterly boring but judging by the grin on her face, she liked his response and it was enough for him.
He glanced up from his notebook again, letting his pencil rest in the crease between the pages open and looked back to her, hoping to keep conversation and sure enough, she responded back to him. It was better than he had hoped for and the way that she had said it for the teacher to hear made him force back a laugh. The look on his face was priceless and Alysander found himself smirking as he slowly lowered his head, biting his lip slightly and waiting as the man left the classroom in a hurry.
"I think a few more comments would have been great." he said softly and laughed a little, shaking his head even as he thought of what the teachers next words to them would be. Most likely to read the rest of the two hundred pages in their text books for homework as punishment. Something crazy at least.
He let his eyes linger on the door for a moment before looking back to her. He realized that he hadn't yet introduced himself. He waited until a few other students had begun their own conversations before speaking in a low tone to her. "I am Alysander by the way..." He hoped his introduction was neither awkward nor casual. After all, it wasn't even like him to speak out like this but it was nice to have someone who noticed his presence.

Rosy-Mae's grin dipped into a frown as Sanders introduced himself. "Alysander?" she echoed, her eyes wide. Her mouth twitched into a devilish smirk, her dark eyes glittering with malice.
She opened her mouth to make a jibe about rabbit-holes and insane hatters, but mean words caught in her throat, choking her. Grimacing, Rosy-Mae closed her mouth, swallowed, and opened it up again; silence.
Rosy-Mae wrinkled her nose, distrust for Sander and a newly-born contempt for herself washing down on the young demigod. She stared at Sander for a moment, scanning him. Am I going soft? I can't go soft! I'd be like all the other cop-loving, dead-brained children in this Hell-hole! Rosy-Mae shuddered a little.
The daughter of Thanatos stared at Sander for a minute. "I'm Rosy-Mae," she grunted.

Alysander could feel the dislike towards him and was a little thrown off. One minute, she is smiling at him, the next she is barely looking his way and trying to act as though the interest had stopped short of friendly. "Um, nice to...meet you?" he said, a little awkwardly now. He sat back in his seat, looking away from her now. If she was going to treat him like he was no one, then he would treat her as he did everyone else. Staring at the board, he took down the last few notes before closing his books and stuffing them into his pack. Class would be over soon and he needed to get out of here, now.
Minutes passed before the teacher came back, clearly still unhappy from their previous encounter as he assigned their homework. It was not 100 pages but it may as well have been. Shaking his head, Sander memorized the board before getting up and tossing his bag over his shoulder just as the bell went off. He was not looking forward to lunch alone but he knew that it would be better than his last conversation with Rosy.
"Look...next time. Don't act happy to talk to me...kinda saves the the trouble of having to reciprocate the feeling," he said before making his way towards the doorway. Stopping to receive something from the teacher, Sander kept his head and eyes on whatever it was that was being handed to him, not even wanting to know the trouble he had just gotten himself into to. Besides, it was a regular thing for Sander to get into trouble. What would make today any different?
