Some of you who have been with us back in March remember that I left for CougarTown as a delegate. Well, this year I'll be returning to CougarTown as a counselor! I leave Wednesday November 30th and return Saturday December 3rd. I will have no access to any sort of technology so I will be away for those four days! It's a great experience that I hope I can share with everyone here :3 <3

I'm back from CougarTown and I've got to say that was the best experience in my life. If any of you would like to know what happened just shoot me a PM or reply here or ask me in the cbox and I would be more than willing to share!

Oh! I'm so glad you asked!
CougarTown is a school sponsored camp. 50 delegates (first timers), 30 counselors, counselors in training, and teachers will go up a mountain for four days and three nights. Pretty much all connections to the outside world is cut off. Our cellphones are taken away as well as our iPods/mp3 players. We spend these days in a large group as well as smaller discussion groups. The point of the camp is to make us leaders in society. It makes us aware of racism, sexist, bullying, among several other topics. It shows us that we are special and we can really stand up for the prejudice we see in the world. It is a life changing experience and I was lucky enough to be going this year as a counselor. It's so empowering!
