New sights, new smells, and new things to learn, new people to meet. Amelia's heart pounded with excitement as she stared into the hallway lined with doors that led to a group of demigod's respective dorms.
"Welcome to your new life, Amy," she whispered to herself, as she began to walk across the amber carpet. The freshman carried a cardboard box, containing some miscellaneous items Amelia had collected from her room. Inside were mostly books and scripts of plays that had caught her fancy, but there was one thing that wasn't of literary work: a lone iPhone that she had bought with her older half-sister, Lily.
Amelia held the box closer to her chest. My first big sister... she mused, her mouth forming a soft smile. I wonder how many more sisters I'll meet now that I'm a high school student!
She giggled with excitement, and her walk turned into a skip. With every tiny bounce, her items of value were thrown an inch off the bottom of the box. Lost in her delirium of joy, Amelia didn't notice the textbook lying on the floor, accidentally discarded by its owner, until the toes of her right foot collided into it, and down fell Amelia Rodgers - and her bliss.
Books, scripts, and an iPhone rained down. Amelia fell right on top of her box, flattening it. "Ouch..." she groaned, as she got onto her knees. Amelia looked at her scattered items, and let out a sigh. The daughter of Athena reached for her iPhone, her soft smile now a small frown.

Alysander let his eyes fall from his book slowly and onto the hall. The door to his room sat wide open and his window did as well, letting in the sounds of students from both in the hallway and outside. Most had gathered outdoors to hang out and the only voices inside were of the younger students moving into the dorm. He set his book aside, his hands pressing lightly against his bed as he pushed himself up, walking towards the doorway at the sound of a loud thud.
The smirk that grew on his face was small but still evident as he leaned against the doorway, watching one of the new girls make her way to her room. Of course, her current pathway was now littered with he belongings and he couldn't help but feel for her. He remembered being new and moving in was the worst part. Either everyone stood around to watch you, or you did it alone without any assistance. Deciding it best not to just stand around and do nothing, Alysander stood up straight and walked towards her, bending down as he gathered a couple items and held them out to her.
"You okay?" he asked, his tone soft and deep. He let his eyes wander over her face, taking in her appearance. Something about her seemed vaguely familiar but of course, he had never met her before. He began to wonder who her parents were but let that thought slip from his mind.
"Here, I might have an extra box in my room..." he said standing and walking back to his room. After a moment, he returned, holding a small box in his hands that looked similar to hers. "You can keep it. I have too many anyways..." he said softly. He set it in front of her and helped place her things inside before standing up again and helping her up as well. He smiled a little, glancing around and then back to her as he waited for her to say something. From the looks of it, she would be a freshman of sophomore but Alysander didn't want to be one to judge based upon appearance.
The sound of students coming up the stairs could be heard and Sander didn't want her standing directly in the isle when people came through. Probably wouldn't be the best of ideas. Besides, he figured that the girl would want to find her room right about now. "So...uh...can I help you find your room?" he asked, figuring since he had been there for a while, he might be of some assistance to her. Normally, he was not one to talk this much to anyone, but she seemed nice enough.

"You okay?"
Amelia looked up, her eyes meeting with those of an older boy. "Oh, uh..."
He went back to his dorm and returned with another box. She helped him pick up her things as swiftly as she could, not wanting to burden this nice fellow with her own clumsiness.
After Amelia's scattered belongings was retrieved and put into a box, he helped her up. She opened her mouth to speak, but it seemed that somebody had shoved a wad of cotton into her throat. Amelia closed her mouth, swallowed, and then tried again. "Th-thanks. I guess I brought too much stuff from home." She picked up a full box and glanced inside it to make sure everything was there.
"So...uh...can I help you find your room?"
She flinched a little, surprised an older student would give the time of day for a freshman. "S-sure, if you want to." Amelia paused, pupils darting about as she tried to remember her dorm number. "It's a hundred-sixteen."
Amelia glanced at the boy's face. The longer she looked at it, the more Amelia felt a connection between the two demigods - not a connection that formed friendship, but something different. Something she couldn't put her finger on. There was a small tingle of excitement in her stomach, the same one she had on the day she met Lily.
"M-m-my names Amelia. What's yours?"
(ooc: ...This post is terrible. Sorry for the wait!)
