I'M NOT ASHAMED TO ADMIT
that The wild boys were my friends. oh
CAUSE I NEVER FELT THE DESIRE
that The wild boys were my friends. oh
CAUSE I NEVER FELT THE DESIRE
Kitija officially had a boyfriend. His name was Mario and she was pretty sure they would live happily ever after collecting coins and eating magical mushrooms that let you fly. A real love that only came around once a game system. Right now, the blonde girl was struggling with an old school NES in her arms and two controls balancing atop it. In her mouth for lack of a better place, was a grey game cartridge with a yellow label and the words: Super Mario bros. 3. She really did wish that she had tied her hair back, for a few blonde strands where stuck in her mouth with the game and that was annoying. There was no way she would free a hand to get rid of them though, for the NES was far too holly to risk dropping. Kitija loved sports, but the game in her mouth came in close second to a nice game of soccer and sometimes, even first. That was only when the weather was too hot though. Kitija could play in the rain all day, but if it got over 85 degrees she was out. It was mostly due to being raised in Latvia where the maximum temperature is 60 in the summer. You get used to the cold to say the least. In latvia she could never wear what she was wearing right now. A dress. Kitija was furious hen she saw her mother had let the maids pack her clothes, and even more furious when everything they chose were rather girly. Kitija would never touch these in latvia, and that was probably why most of them still had the price tag on them. Right now, she had on one of the less frilly and more modest dresses. This one was -to her dismay- bright pink. It was also long sleeved though, and was a little longer than the others she had. It was just making her school experience so much better!
Kitija wasn't too excited to go to a new school without Eduard, Nikolajs, Petris, or Vilhelms. It made her a little sad to think of the friends she would now only see once a year, and that was only if her parents let her go back to Latvia for the summer or Christmas break. But, Kit wasn’t someone to dwell on the negative of things. She much preferred to look on the bright side. Sure, she didn’t have a lot of friends, but she hadn’t even been here a week. Hell, she had yet to meet her dorm-mate! Luckily, by the looks of it her bunker was a serious tomboy like herself. All the clothes were made for guys along with other substance. Talk about dedication! Even Kitija wore girl clothes. Granted they were usually sweats and tank tops but they were bought from girl stores. No, whoever her roommate was certainly had a strong sense of masculinity. Part of that made her happy she wouldn’t have to be subjected to the dreaded ‘girl talk’. Maybe she’d even be into some NES with her. Playing Mario was fun, but video games like sports, were more enjoyable with friends. Besides, cloud world always gave her some trouble and here she didn’t have Eduard to rely on for that stage.
There were a few things Kitija was notorious for among her guy friends. First and foremost was her lack of a girly side, but coming in at a close second was her clumsiness. Walking down the hall there wasn’t a single thing to trip on, and yet somehow her old shoe managed to get caught on the floor, forcing her to go down. With such a prized possession as a NES and the sacred Mario game between her lips, she HAD to protect them! She went down hard on her back, but the game and the game system both were cradled in her arms and safe. After Kitija got over the initial shock of hitting a hard floor on her back, she cracked a smile and let out a small cheer. The tomboy was completely uncaring and unoticing that if someone was around they would probably get a clear view of her Luke Skywalker undies. “Whoot! And Kitija scores seven points!”
