Sofie walked onto the pier looking around seeing a few people here and there not too many so there was still some piece and quiet, the further she got onto the pier the less people there were and that was exactly what she wanted. Sofie had a hard time trusting people, thanks to the two people she was suppose to count on treated her as if she was nothing but the dirth under their shoe. Ever since she could remember her mother would bring different men home every night, and in the morning they would leave then he came into the picture. Norton Rosenberg, oh joy.
Ever since he came into the picture he would always tell her mom that she was "beautiful" and "talented". But when it came to Sofie it was the complete opposite, "ugly""untalented""a complete waste of space" is what Norton referred her to and soon Sofie's self-esteem went flying through the window, she started to believe Norton and that was when it happened when an argument erupted between him and Sofie he ended up cutting her with a knife, and her mom blame Sofie for it happening. Then she packed her stuff and left for Richmond and still she didn't trust people, in her eyes she saw people trying to hurt her, and make herself esteem go lower then it already was.
When she finally reached the end of the pier she placed her arms on the railing crossing them, looking out to the water. The one placed that relaxed her more then anything, she loved the water it was her freewill, a way to get out of thos cruel, painful world and go into a world of peace and not have to worry about people hurting her. After a few minutes she took out a pack of cigerettes and her Edward-scissor hands lighter, she put a cigerette between her lips and brough the lighter up, lighting the cigerette she flipped the lighter close putting both the pack and lighter back in her pocket, she inhaled taking the cigerette away from her lips and letting out a puff of smoke, enjoying the breeze and silence.

There was something about seeing the water that stood out to her, it had a type of fury that couldn't be contained, something that no human being could control. The ocean was it's own, it could be peacful and inviting the next it could be angry, daring anyone who dared to enter it, these thoughts brough back memories of what she was like before her mom had met Norton, the one guy who decided to ruin a young kids life, and have low self-esteem that she had a feeling it would never be like it was, high and proud when she loved to have fun, and hang out with people her age, but now she was a girl who was afraid of he own shadow, a soon to be loner at school that didn't hang out with anybody. Hell, she just might turn out to be a high school drop out most likely.
Unlike most people at Richmond they had a motivation to graduate, family, a good job, career, the thought of having a family. Sofie didn't have anything like that, afterall who would want to start a family with someone as ugly as her, nobody. The silence was broken by the sound of footprints behind her, she didn't bother to look behind her, afterall she didn't know anybody, wasn't expecting anybody so it wasn't any of her business. After a few seconds she brought the cigerette back up to her lips, inhaled and took it away, before exhaling another puff of smoke.
In the corner of her eye she saw someone next to her, she could easily tell it was a male, she remained as calm as possible not wanting to bolt off like a manic just beacause she was standing next to a male. He was taller then her, dark hair, and what looked like dark eyes. After a few seconds, she looked back out to the water, not wanting to say anything, she quickly smelled coffee, witch seemed to be in a stryofoam cup, witch was probably the worst way to have it but it was none of her business.

[/i] Erinn decides in his thoughts listening to the water slosh against the sides of peir in a rythmn he found quiet pleasing and very soothing. Erinn moves the crappy cup of coffee re-postioning it in his hands to keep them from burning numb and takes another dregof the crappy hospitail coffee from the crappy hospital coffee cup. The wind changes quickly and Erinn wonders how cold the water is now, if he could swim he would see for himself, so since he can't he just leans against the railing and rests the coffee cup ontop of the ledge that kept people from falling over and looks down to the water seeing murky refelctions of him and the blonde rippling across the water.
