Waiting for him, Aero could just not hold still! Why was she so excited you may ask? she was going to see Dev for the first time in awhile! And they had plans all set! First Aero was going to introduce him to the youngest female tiger the park had, who had been named Lara. They also had a few more males and females but Lara liked Aero the best out of all the staff. Too bad she only volunteered though, she would have loved to see the large cat more than just a few hours when she could spare to get out of the house. Currently she was leaning against her new car. The one car that did not look like it should belong beside this girl. Her new car was a Green Viper. A very handsome looking care at that. Sometimes Aero could not help but stare at all the shininess of the reflective green pain and how undamaged it was. Her white Plymouth Breeze had been second hand and pretty banged up. but now she had this new car. Still she leaned against it and waited. It was almost four, the time they had agreed upon. Or at least Aero had asked and Dev had said that it was fine. So she was waiting in her uniform. the shirt was long sleeved, which Aero was greatful for since the covered her healing burns and the cuts she had ended up inflicting on herself the night before. She had not meant to, it was only an accident. Then she had on some worn jeans, one of the few things she had saved from the fire which took her dad. The jeans were a faded blue, her top was rather sexy as it clung to her skin. It was not as loose she had expected but it was not exactly painted on or skintight. Against both her arms were weird looking buldges. Two on her left, one on the right. They were bandages to cover the sensitive cuts and burns. She did not want to risk them getting infected. As she shook her head the short ponytail bobbed from side to side and she tucked the one lock of hair behind her right ear. She looked at the ground, deep i thought as she waited. Not much longer now. [style=width: 300px; height: 20px; background-color: #213D30; border-bottom-left-radius: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;][/style]

You could say that I was a bit nervous to meet Aero just by myself. It seemed stupid to me. She was my first friend here, and I liked her. A lot. She didn't make fun of me because I couldn't defend myself. She had pretty much saved my life, too, so I'm still in her debt for that. Not only that, but Aero was pretty good looking, too.
Anyway.
Since I didn't have a car and I was living so close to the amusement park, I walked. It was getting toward evening, but since fall was just around the corner and since I've lived most of my life in a desert, I had jeans and a jacket on. Call me weak, but I didn't feel like freezing to death.
The walk there lasted only about ten minutes, and when I got there I found Aero leaning against her snazzy green car, which automatically caught my attention. I didn't remember her having that car before.... hm. Maybe she traded her old on in for this sleek sports car. I went up to her, pointed to the car and smiled. I had no idea what kind of car it was, but it looked really nice. It suited her, too.
((It's a terrible post but I'm tired as hell. x.x ))

Ready to go, When Aero actually looked up to the sky she frowned. It was getting close to fall, or it already was so it was starting to get darker sooner. She grunted, one thing she did not want was going swimming in the dark. She did not want to make a whole big scene about it but she had made plans to go swimming with him so she would still do it.
She smiled widely when she saw him, and that he had gotten there safely. Aero raised an eyebrow when he pointed at the car then smiled. she looked down to the car, she was still getting used to having a car like this. she was still used to her old Breeze. Then she chuckled at herself.
"Thanks, I am glad you approve. My old one broke down." she stopped leaning on the sleek green car and hugged him. Then when she pulled away she pushed his hair away from his forehead to look at what had once been a black eye. She smiled softly.
"I know you said it was better, but I wanted to see for myself." She explained as she stepped back, blushing. And why was she blushing? Because she felt so torn between guys! She had started to like Dev from that first day they had met, but Xi had taken her in and they had already helped each other a lot.
Then randomly Aero offered her hand to him to hold. A smile lit her face even as she blushed slightly.
What is up with you Aero?? Why not hold his hand? He might not even know where the tigers are plus you don't want him to get lost in the crowd. so get over it already and stop acting stupid! [/color] She complained to herself. "Ready?" She asked, her voice strangly even and not even shaky. That was like the oppsoite of what she felt like.[/div][style=width: 300px; height: 20px; background-color: #213D30; border-bottom-left-radius: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;][/style][/center]

I was sad to hear that her old car had broken down, but this green car must've been like a dream to drive. It probably was so incredibly smooth and you could be going off roading and not feel a thing. Well, maybe not that drastic. But you get my point.
Anyway, when she hugged me, I hugged her back. It's not everyday I get a hug, so any meaningful one I can get has a lot of sentimental value in it. I couldn't help but somewhat flinch away when she pushed aside my hair to see my eye, but hey, when you've been attacked more than once because you can't defend yourself, your instincts kick in a lot. I knew Aero wouldn't hurt me, but still, it was just an automatic response. But as she pulled back, I noticed something. There was a light redness in her face. Was she really blushing? No, she wouldn't be. I would be the one to do that. After all, I think she was taking a liking to Xi, which was okay with me, but eh.
She then held out her hand to me, smiling. Was I meant to take it? I looked down at her hand and then up at her face, wondering what she meant by it. Well, she was just holding it up there... maybe I was supposed to hold it. A sheepish smile drew its way across my mouth as I reached out and took her hand. I really didn't know whether I was supposed to lace our fingers together or not, so I left that up to her. I answered her then with a nod, waiting for her to lead the way since I had no idea where I was going.

Give him a past, Aerowen could not help but smile from ear to ear at his smile. Today was not the day to worry about all the mixed feelings between guys and all the events that were unfolding. She would just focus on the here and now. after all for now that was all that counted right? If you tried to focus on too much at a time all you asked for was a headache and hurt feelings. Two things that Aero just did not want to deal with right at this point in time. she was here to have fun.
She quickly laced their fingers together so that their hands could not be easily pulled apart and she got them off to a quick start into the park. She pulled a pass over Dev's head and then they got into the park with ease. She smiled at him.
Yeah, I got it all covered. We don't have to worry about anything. Well except the pool, mostly how we will get there but I got my fancy Viper for a reason. Aero thought to herself. She was in such a good mood and nothing was going to ruin it for her! Or one thing could ruin it for her, and that was a secret that she wanted to keep hidden until it was healed.
Aero almost felt bad for the poor guy. Had he even done stuff like this before? Or had his dad ruined the whole thing for him? Aerowen frowned slightly and her brows knit together as she thought. She just was not sure. Then she knew what she was going to do. She pulled him to the side and away from the other walking to a bench and she got him to sit down.
"I will be right back in a blink of an eye so don't worry." [/b] She winked at him then flitted off. That was the only way to describe the way she moved when she was happy, or at least this happy. When she returned she had two bags of cotton candy, one in each hand. Also two ballons had been tied so that they each had a handle at the end of the ribbon that someone would put their wrist through it. Aero offered a bag of the fluffy candy and pulled his wrist through the ribbon of one of the ballons. She took a few steps back to examine him, then she smiled and sat back down on the bench to open her bag of fluff. "See? It's candy! It melts in your mouth like a cloud!"[/b] She popped a bit of the sticky fluff into her mouth as an example.[/div][style=width: 300px; height: 20px; background-color: #213D30; border-bottom-left-radius: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;][/style][/center]

Aero put her fingers between mine, put a pass around my neck, and then we were off through the crowds. I know it's stupid to make a big deal out of it, especially for a guy, but you have to remember I don't have a tongue. I can't speak. So just the little gesture of us holding hands was enough to make me feel all warm inside. I was used to thinking and telling myself that no girl could ever like a boy who couldn't say anything and had no tongue, but maybe I was wrong. Maybe Aero was that one girl I thought didn't exist. Or maybe she was just doing this because she was dared to... I really hoped not. I didn't want to think that she was setting me up for this, making me believe that she really was my friend, only to have the flooring ripped out from under my feet. No, Aero wouldn't do that. She's kind, and generous, and cares... and she's my friend.
I sat down like she asked, and for my amusement, I blinked as soon as she left. The smile still on my face, I watched people stroll by. There were a lot of of families, but I guess since this was an amusement park that would be a given. A million different smells were in the air, most of them being ones I had never smelled before. A lot of them sweet, others made me worry slightly, but the food was what mesmerized me the most. It all smelled so incredibly good. What did they serve here? I doubted it was anything like you'd get at a restaurant, but it's still food, right? Just another kind, maybe.
The first thing I noticed when Aero got back was the bag of fluffy blue stuff. What the hell...? She offered it to me and I took it, looking at it curiously as she slipped something onto my wrist. Raising my gaze up, I saw a balloon floating just above me. Huh. I've never really seen one up close, come to think of it.
"See? It's candy! It melts in your mouth like a cloud!"
I turned to look back at her as she put some of the strange fluff in her mouth. Well, I can honestly say I had no idea the fluff was edible. Opening my bag, I reached in and took some of the stuff, pulling it out and sniffing it. It smelled incredibly sweet, and apparently it tasted good and dissolved quick. After thinking about the stuff for a few moments, I placed it in my mouth, feeling it immediately start dissolving. And sure enough, it tasted very sweet. Holy shoot. What was this stuff made out of? I pulled out another little piece and looked back at Aero, then back at the fluff, hoping she'd get the hint that I had no idea what it was made out of.

Teach him, Aero could not stop smiling. She was just so happy as she pushed more of the sticky fluff into her mouth. As soon as it touched her tongue it melted and left a soft, sweet tingling in her mouth. Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed the sweey fluff.
She turned slightly to look at Dev only to see that he had just oppened his bag and was sniffing at the cotton candy. Then eh too put a bit into his mouth and the look on his face was priceless! She giggled at him slightly. She could not help it! She was in such a good mood!
She raised an eyebrow till a soft "oh" of understanding left her mouth and she smiled at him.
"It's cotton candy, or in my opinion cotton fluff. It is actually pretty easy to make. All it is is melted sugar that gets spun around so that is cools into small threads like cotton." [/b] Aero took a bit of hers and with her nails she started to pull it apart so that you could see the small threads of sugar.[/div][style=width: 300px; height: 20px; background-color: #213D30; border-bottom-left-radius: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px;][/style][/center]

Well damn, I never knew that you could spin sugar into threads like that. And it dissolved so fast! It was almost like some sort of sorcery, but not exactly. Maybe I was just making this a bigger deal than it really was, but I had never seen anything quite like it.
I looked back down at the fluff and took another piece, putting it into my mouth and just waited for it to dissolve. I could barely taste it since more than half my tongue was missing, but what I could taste, it was such a sugary sensation. Is this much sugar even good for you? I really doubted it, but it was definitely good for your mood. I was feeling a lot happier as I took yet another clump of blue fluff and put it in my mouth. I had hardly made a dent in the amount of cotton candy there was, so how on earth was I supposed to eat it all? Oh well, I could save it all for later. A smile crept onto my face and I looked over at Aero, wondering what else she had in mind for me.

Let the fun start!, Aero could only laugh at the look on his face! It was so priceless! She patted his arm gently, being careful to not let the bandages brush his arm. If they did it would hurt and he would probably 'ask' what had happened. He may be mute but even he could communicate. It wasn't hard, facial expressions and body language were easy enough to read. And to Aero Dev was actually pretty easy to read. He was curious, meaning he had no clue what any of this stuff was. That sucked.
Aero shrugged off the thinking to look back at him.
"You look cute when your trying to figure something out. That's why I was laughing. Sorry but it's true." [/b] Then she stood up and offered him her hand again before moving on. "They have all sorta of rides here."[/b] She said starting to point in a few general areas. "There are gentle rides like the merry-go-round and ferris wheel, and plenty of faster paced rides. Some spin you in circles at different speeds. THAT one slings you up and down at high speeds. That is why it is called the Slingshot. A few others like the Space Launch do the same thing but not so hardcore. However we are going to be late if we don't hurry."[/b] She let him look a bit before leading him away again. she hopped she was not going too fast for him but she should have been at the cages already. Yeah she was volunteering but the tigers hated to have a late walk. Some of the tigers, like Lara and one of the older males, actually were able to be taken for walks around the prk. Only the very well behaved ones went and Aero was one of the lucky handlers able to take the youngest and most predictable feline for her walk. Aero had worked with her a lot already and had built up the feline and parks trust. Once she got to pen that the tigers were held in Aero lead him up to the fence that kept people from coming too close to the pen. "I am going to put our cotton candy in a safe for awhile, so that we don't lose it. But don't worry about the cats, they most likely won't bite. We know them too well. Now I will be back in a bit and then I can give you a full tour."[/b] She winked at him and slipped her ballon around his wrist with his and grabbed his cotton candy since he was done with it and left him, but stayed in sight. She made sure he saw her lock up the personal safe for the staff and volunteers before she fixed up her hair and clothes. "Your almost late!"[/i] One of the older female employees called to Aero and handed her a medium length leash while she held the blue one. "At least you made it![/i] She hooked the leash onto the blue collar of the oldest male and they left the pen. "Sorry! I have a guest this time around!"[/b] Aero called back which resulted in a giggle and a couple whistles. She could not help but giggled as she went through the greeting process with Lara. The large tiger sniffed the handler's hand before rubbing on it and Aero stroked the large cat. Then she hooked on the red leash to Lara's red collar and then they too left the pen. Lara's ears perked up with interest as she sniffed at the new human smells. Then with a gentle tug from Aero Lara was on her way on the route that had signs saying this was where the tigers walked. Other handlers walked the route as well to make sure it was clear and to help subdue the animal if something went wrong. "Come on Dev, this way."[/b] Aero waved to him just before an anouncement came on the some of the tigers were going for their daily walk. I couldn't help but smile. Because I couldn't ask questions, I had to figure things out in a completely different way than what other people usually do. I couldn't ask why a thing did what it did, but I could just stare at someone until they reacted. Creepy, but true. I took Aero's hand again when she offered it, feeling the soft feeling of butterflies in my stomach again. It's a really pathetic way of describing it, but it's incredibly accurate.
Aero led me around, pointing out rides along the way. Most of them looked horrifying, but I certainly wouldn't mind trying them out sometime. However, she took me along and we ended up at the tiger's pen. I quickly became nervous, realizing that I was around the large cats. Not only that, but she was going to bring one of them out. I waited anxiously, trying to not think about the fact that there was going to be a massive feline right beside me. But when Aero waved and called my name, I felt incredibly nervous as I went over to where she was, wary of the giant striped tiger. I glanced at the cat to Aero, then back at the cat.
