I pray the fame won't take my life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gucci had such an unmistakable smell that not even a goddess who never preferred mortal things found it hard to forget. In Aprhodite's human form, she was dressed in an outfit that blended the goddess in as much as the next girl walking down the boulevard. When she took the form of a human, Aprhodite preferred to go by a various number of alias but kept it simple unless she ran across someone she'd already met before. Exposure was a fatal mistake she couldn't afford to make. As much as Zeus adored and respected her, he'd have a fit worthy of the gods if any of the gods or goddesses were "found out" one way or another. Every mother had a justified right to be greeted with her children, didn't she? Tamara George had struck her fancy ever since the goddess touched down to Earth and began her search to reunite with the children she left so many years ago.
Her children were beautiful, someone would have to be absolutely deranged to say anything different. Their human halves would also have a considerable effect on their personalities, which made Aphrodite eager and somewhat withdrawn to meet them. "Excuse me ma'am, may I make use of your dressing room?" Aphrodite held up a slim fitting red satin dress that trailed down to the floor. What formal use did she have for it? Naturally, she had none but when she had the money to buy such things...she didn't go out looking for practical uses.

Tam moved down the boulevard she'd walked so many times but this time it only made her stomach sink, glancing at the beautiful things on either side of her. The beautiful thing that for the first time in her cushy, greatly appreciated wealth saturated life, she could no longer afford. There was of course still money somewhere but considering she was nearly halfway around the world, the likelihood of that reaching her was very slim.
She sighed, pushing a hand through her hair. And that didn't even begin to cover the whole myriad of problems the child growing in her stomach was likely to cause...even if, at the moment, it was probably the size of sea monkey...well...kind of, even if it didn't show.
She pushed this to the back of her mind however as she entered Gucci, sending the familiar shop assistant a quick smile. She couldn't even be quite sure why she'd come, she'd agree to meet her 'mother' although somehow she'd never found it particularly easy to relax around her for some reason.

Aphrodite's lips curled into a pout, a petite hand resting on her hip as she twirled around in front of a mirror. Tam would find her way in at any given moment, it was only just a matter of minutes. "Hmmm, I'll pass on this." Aphrodite slid back into her dressing room and peeled off the velvety dress and strung it upon a spare hanger. When the door swooshed open and a familiar blonde sauntered through the door, she raised an eyebrow until she walked closer.
The bronze skinned goddess waved a hand in the air to greet her demigod daughter. "Tamara! I'm so glad you could make it here." Her daughter had something on her mind, although even a goddess was unable of mind reading. Aphrodite slipped on the pearl colored sandals she had worn into the store, setting her hand bag onto an unoccupied couch in the middle of the store.
[Sorry this is so miserably short!]

Tam attempted a smile but it probably ended up as something closer to a half hearted distant impression of one before her gaze slid back to the clothes sitting on the racks she'd perused so many times before. She didn't even particularly care right then which only added another wave of misery over her. It was a sad day for the entire British Isles, Gucci and all of those other much loved designers when Tam didn't want to shop.
"So urm...how are you enjoying Richmond?" She said somewhat awkwardly, sliding her arms around herself.

Their meetings were still awkward, possibly more so for Tam than for Aphrodite. This was to be expected of course, for someone who had never met their mother their entire life until only a few weeks ago. "It's easy for me to...lay low here, if you understand." The goddess kept her voice low, to avoid raising suspension from a sales associate who might be feeling particularly nosy. "Nobody suspects I am...what I am, which is something I take for granted more than I should." Aphrodite took a seat on a cushioned chair and with a bronzed hand, she patted the empty space next to her and gestured for her daughter to take the seat.
"But how have you been?" It would be unfortunate of the goddess to not pry just a little into her childrens' lives.

Tam nodded.
"Although goddess or not, I don't think you could NOT attract attention," She chuckled slightly, a small half hearted smile moving onto her face before she gently slid into the seat that had been offered, absently shifting the bracelets on her arm.
"Err...alright," She said although the ridiculous fragility of her voice told such a different story that she soon gave in.
"Pretty crap," She corrected with a shrug.
