The two like sports which could be a way they become friends, but Silvia is also very proud and stubborn and may not be silent is treated rudely which could also make her a bit more competitive and eager to make him look bad. Then again she may develop a crush, I don't know yet it depends on how roleplaying goes. The two may go from Frienemies to Rivals or to something else. But I'm thinking frienemies are the most likely things.
