Haven't posted in AGES, and the activity thread partially inspired this so, here we have it! So sorry it's short and crap.
The students had been talking about how much they enjoyed their horses all day long. Was there any harm in seeing what all the fuss was about? Of course not, which was just why Adrianne wanted to take the leisurely walk down to the stables and breathe new life into her day. "What beautiful horses." She said out loud, to no one in particular as she extended a hand for a chestnut mare to examine. From what she understood, these horses could be rented out for an hour to those who wished to rent them. As she sauntered down the barn hall, she was presented with several to chose from.
Adrianne had ridden before, so there was no need in picking a beginner's horse who only had one speed. Painfully slow. When it came to horses, she preferred something that had a little more "get up and go" to it. "We've got a winner. Charlotte, such a nice name!" She muttered to herself and opened the stall door and slipped inside, slipping the nylon halter onto the mare's face and clipping on the lead rope.
The two walked in perfect rhythm with one another to the wash bay, which fortunately was empty. The tack room was a short distance from the bay, and another rider had left the door wide open for the next rider to enter and chose their saddle. The Havana brown saddle would work just fine, an old jumping saddle that was showing its age in wear and tear. The bridle was a simple snaffle bit, and the grey mare took it in with zero hestation. Let's ride!
