We all fall down, We'll pick you upShiye Rayn wasn't use to the new area, Cael frowned, the poor mare must be going through a lot of changes, he'd forced himself not to hear what she had to say, but sometimes it slipped through 'i don't like it here' or something else like 'how long will I be here?' he frowned he had no clue to be honest, he had another 2 years "I'm sorry Shiye Rayn.. never meant to change your comfortable area like this.. the USA isn't of my fancy either" he got off from her stall door and opened it, smiling at the horse "Let's go okay? for a little run, how does that sound?" he asked the horse didn't reply but he could tell she was happy by her eyes, she swished her tail and galloped pass waiting patiently at the stable entrance. He laughed walking after her and opening it, she looked out but stood there for a moment "I'll race you" he said beginning to run his long coat (don't worry sleeveless) was as if a cape of some sort as it flew behind him. Shiye Rayn chased him down to the paddock door, nipping at him in attempts of affection for her owner, he grinned opening the lock and she went flying again out into the Paddock, he took to sitting down on the paddock's wooden gate.

It was warm days like these where I loved laying out in the pasture, ball cap pulled down over my face to keep out the sun, and sleeping away the afternoon. Bell was grazing nearby with Gatsby frolicking all around her like some hyperactive Energizer bunny, occasionally whacking me with a hoof, in which I would swear and just roll over and go back to sleep. Of course, on the occasion that it would happen again, I would do the same thing but just turn the other way.
The constant noise of Bell's munching came to a sudden stop, which wasn't unusual, but as soon as I heard her nicker, I knew we weren't alone anymore. I listened to her heavy, plodding steps as she headed off, and the light prancing of Gatsby following her. I muttered, turning so that I was lying on my back and lifted the hat just far enough so that I could see whoever it was that had come. I recognized the horse since I spent nearly every spare hour either at the barn or with Chicago, but I didn't know who the guy was. "Howdy." I called out to him in a sleepy tone, rubbing my eye a bit.

We all fall down, We'll pick you upCael grinned as the horse ran around in her happiness wanting him to run along with her, he looked down at the ground the floor was somewhat muddy because of a nearby leak in the water bin.. he grinned looking up before trying to channel his thoughts and lift the water out of the mud.. it was yet any use for him. Just as he looked up he was surprised by the sudden appearance of Shiye Rayn, she made a nicker and he lost balance falling in the mud below, he laughed at her who was now looking over top of him, and she ran off towards the sound of another horse. He sighed getting up and looking at his clothes "Thanks Father.." he whispered grinning he wasn't wet, he noticed someone saying hi and frowned again "Hello" he said sitting back on top of the wooden railing. he didn't know the guy, and it was obvious the guy wouldn't know him. Cael fiddled with his ipod, Shiye Rayn neighed and he looked up to see she had accompanies, other horses, he tried but there was little luck that they'd want to talk to him.

As I looked at the guy more closely, I noticed that his hair was a whole bunch of different colors, but it looked kinda cool the way they were all set about. Reminded me of artificial feathers, for some reason. Maybe it was just the colors itself. I have no idea.
"What's yer name?" I called out, trying to spark a conversation. It would feel weird just sleeping in the pasture and not at least trying to get to know the guy even a little bit. I watched Bell and Gatsby as they ventured toward the new horse, each one reaching out to couriously sniff the other mare, even nickering a greeting to her. Gatsby, though, couldn't decide whether he liked the stranger mare, so he backed up, went forward, backed up, then went forward again, though his ears were perked forward, so I wasn't worrying about him and Bell too much.

We all fall down, We'll pick you upCael looked back at the guy who laid in the middle of the pasture, he wasn't big on sitting in dirt, but he did it sometimes "The names Cael.. say what.. er.. class or campus side are you from?" he asked raising an eyebrow in interest, he didn't bother to get closer. Cael was currently to lazy to fo that just yet. Interested again he turned his attention to the horses who where still greeting one another 'Oh Cael they seem nice, I like them' Shiye Rayn told him, he grinned "I think Shiye Rayn likes your horses" he looked back at them and noticed the confussion of the smaller horse. Cael turned his attention to the other people and horses around in the pasture, many had already come, some where in pairs teaching one another or laughing as they spoke and walked around. Horses cantered about while others laid and slept on the floor, a few horses where being ridden by their owners, he noticed a path into the woods as a female rider directed the horse towards the trail, he would have to check it out some time.

Cael. That was a neat name. Never heard of it before nor knew how to spell it, but it was still neat.
"South." I answered, sitting up on the ground. I didn't bother to wipe off the loose dirt or bits of grass that may still be stuck to my shirt, so I just left it and adjusted my ball cap so that it was on the way it was supposed to be instead of the way I had it while I had been dozing. "M' name's Semper."
Bell's ears were perked forward as she kept curiously reaching out to the other mare and sniffing her, though eventually she just took a few steps back, lowered her head, and continued grazing. Gatsby, on the other hand, peered out from behind one of her hind legs, nervously watching the other mare. "S'good t' know," I replied, smiling as I watched the equine trio. "Shiye Rayn? Interestin' name." The name seemed fitting to the grey dapple-ish horse. "The big one's Bell, 'n' the little one's Gatsby. Neither of 'em should b' any trouble 'less they start bitin' her knees or somethin'." I shrugged. Bell was mostly over that habit since the only horse she really bit was Rio, but with Gatsby you never know. The little bugger picked up her habits and ran with them, but I could tell he was wary of the new mare, so I doubted he'd try anything yet.
