She smiled knowing that Pippa found her very attractive. She hasn't felt this way about a girl in a long time, she didn't know how to react. "Just a maybe huh?" She winked at Pippa as she said this. Blaise was shocked about Pippa's reaction to her own question. She put a puzzled look on her face not understanding why she felt so bad about asking. "Pippa you can ask me whatever you want, don't feel bad."
After a moment of swimming she began to explain what happened. "My ex didn't like the fact that I did so much for her. She said I was catering to her too much. Then she met a guy and fell in love with him so it put me out of the picture." Before Pippa could get too far away from her Blaise took her hand in hers and pulled her closer to her body. She knew that she had a girlfriend but she couldn't help herself. Blaise also just wanted to get a little bit of warmth since she knew that they were both freezing in the water. "Tell me if I get out of line..." She said this in a soft whisper while she looked in her eyes.

Pippa nodded at Blais'es words, "Ok" She continued to swim around as she listened to Blaise explain what had happened. She laughed as Blaise said her ex didn't like being catered to, "Are you talking yourself up to me Blaise Doyle?" She smirked at Blaise before she swam a few feet away, then turned back to her. "Well she was an idiot to leave you..." The words came out barely louder than a whisper.
As Blaise swam over to her her heart skipped a beat. "What are you doing?" She asked as Blaise grabbed her hand and pulled her closer. She closed her eyes, feeling her forehead touch Blaise's, she bit down on her bottom lip. Her eyes still closed as her heart beat wildly in her chest. "I'm not a cheater," She whispered softly, her hand still in Blaise's grasp. |

Blaise laughed as Pippa asked if she was talking herself up. "No not at all...Why is it working?" She smiled at her and gave a little wink. She heard Pippa say something but couldn't quiet make out what she said. "What?" She had some kind of idea what she said but wanted to make sure she heard right and wanted to hear it again.
As Blaise held Pippa in her arms her heart skipped every other beat. She knew that Pippa wasn't a cheater and she wasn't trying to get her to do anything she didn't want to do. "You just looked cold so I figured I would keep us warm for a minute." She smiled as she looked into her eyes. Blaise loved how Pippa made her feel. Her heart raced faster and faster with each passing moment.

Pippa smiled a shook her head, "Yeah...I'm actually freezing." She laughed softly, pulling her hand from Blaise's she swam past her towards the lake shoreline. She climbed out of the freezing water into even colder air, shivering as she wrung the water out of her hair and grabbed her clothes off the ground.
She turned around to look at Blaise still in the water, "Maybe swimming wasn't the best idea?" She laughed as she pulled her clothes on over her wet swimsuit..feeling a little warmth from them as she did. |

Blaise smiled at Pippa while she watched her shiver some more. "Yea it is pretty cold." She watched as she swam near the shoreline and climbed out. Nice,[/i] she said out loud to herself as she looked at Pippa's body.
Blaise swam to the shore and got out of the lake her body hitting the cool air. She shivered as she went over to get her shirt that she had thrown on the ground. Pulling her shirt over her head she looked over at her motorcycle then at Pippa, "Maybe we should wait until we dry off a little more before we get on the motorcycle, it will be freezing with the breeze." Blaise walked over to her beer and pulled out two more bottles. She opened them both and gave one to Pippa.

Pippa took the other beer from her, quickly chugging it once more. "Jeez, I never realized how tiring swimming is." She laughed as she sat down in the grass next to the case of beer. She lay back on the grass, staring up at the sky, laughing at Blaise's comments about waiting until they were dry before riding back to the dorms. "I can barely move I'm so cold... She sat back up to take a sip of her beer and light a cigarette, watching Blaise as she did. |

Blaise laughed at Pippa's comment about swimming. "It is pretty tiring, I'm used to it though from surfing." Blaise chugged her beer and lit up another cigarette. She glanced over at Pippa once more then took another sip of her beer. She leaned up against a tree and put her knee up to lean on it. "I can hold you to keep you warm if you want." Blaise said this with a shy look on her face and shrugged her shoulders slightly. She finished her beer then leaned forward to get another one from the case.

Pippa laughed at Blaise's comment about holding her, "How long have you been waiting to say that?" She gave her a sly smirk before taking a few more chuggs of her beer and laying back in the grass once more, her cigarette between her lips as she gazed up at the stars.
"When I was little...my mum use to take me to this meadow type clearing and she'd make me lay down in the grass and look up at the sky." Pippa stopped talking for a moment, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill over. She started to speak again, confident that her voice would be steady and Blaise wouldn't realize she'd nearly started balling."She'd, um, she'd say 'Pippa make your patterns with the stars and name them what you want'." Pippa sighed, "She called it Pippa's Guide to the Stars...and...and then she met Barry." |

Blaise laughed as Pippa teased her about her previous comment. "Yes kind of." She laughed and turned a little red in the face. She moved over next to Pippa and sat down next to her. She lit up another cigarette and looked up at the stars while laying next to Pippa.
She listened to Pippa talk about her mom and could tell it was a sensitive subject for her. "She seems like you two were pretty close." She rubbed Pippa's hand gently to comfort her a little bit. Blaise understood how Pippa felt since her mom wasn't any better. "I'm guessing you don't like your moms new boyfriend at all." She bit down on her lip regretting saying that to her. "Sorry, don't answer that." She moved her arm behind her head as she puffed on her cigarette and stared up at the stars.
