•DEMETER I've never forgotten about you Demeter walked along the shore of the lake in her human form. She was wearing a simple white sundress and a white flower tucked behind her ear and her feet bare. The water washed along her toes making her smile. Her feet had permanent dirt stains on them but they weren't terrible they just added character. She also had a small dirt stain on her cheek that was there whenever she wanted to add more character to her looks.
Demeter's walk was going fine until she saw a patch of dead flowers and plants. It frustrated her that people didn't take care of nature. She approached the patch and stood in the middle. She looked to make sure no one was around before taking a deep breath and concentrating. When she looked at the ground again the patch was better looking and alive.

Sitka, in just a matter of weeks, had gone from nearly the size of a loaf of bread to the size of a computer. I hadn't really notice it until he nearly gouged my arm with one of his claws. It hurt like hell, but hey, at least my arm was still attached.
And since Sitka was a growing grizzly bear, he needed time to run around and just be a cub, so where better than the lake?
The little bear knew where we were going, so he was prancing along ahead, frequently looking back and making whatever you call those little bear cub noises. "I'm comin', I'm comin'." I said, laughing lightly. But it all faded as soon as Sitka took off running like a bat out of hell towards the lake, charging down a fairly steep hill.
"Oh shit."
I took off running after him, bolting down the hill with my abnormally long stride, only to snag my foot on a root and end up tumbling like a rag doll the rest of the way down, running into someone at the bottom.
((Really bad ending. Dx fail!post))

•DEMETER I've never forgotten about you Demeter was about to continue her walk when a grizzly bear rushed past and then a few seconds later a really tall blonde kid bumped into her knocking her onto her butt. She let out a laugh and absentmindedly touched the kids hair. It took her about a second to recognize him as her son. Semper Capone. " Oh, Semper, I didn't think you would be this big when I finally saw you again" she said. She slowly moved so that she was standing on her feet before she offered her hand to her son.
Seeing him brought back a bunch of memories. All the time she had spent with his father and then getting the letter of his death. Demeter felt her face darken with sadness for a moment before she smiled at her son. "Do you recognize me?" she asked him.

"Way t' go, Sitka, way t' make me plow int' someone, dammit." I muttered, though the whole rolling down the hill thing still made me laugh. "I'm sorry 'bout that, miss. Sitka's not the best trained thing al--" I stopped as she stood up, saying my name. Not before touching my head, mind you. It honestly freaked me out.
I pushed myself up off the ground, accepting the hand the lady offered me. I couldn't help but stare at her.... there was something vaguely familiar about her.... I just couldn't place my finger on it. "How.... how do y' know my name..?" I asked her, furrowing my brows as I looked down at her. And see me again? When'd she see me the first time? "Er... no, I don't recognize y'. Sorry..."

•DEMETER I've never forgotten about you Demeter smiled, "It's okay. I love your pet, so adorable" she watches the bear for a few moments. It seemed happy which was all that mattered.
"Well, I should hope I would know my sons name, even if I haven't seen him in awhile"She said. She pulled a strand of her brown hair behind her ear and wiped the dirt smudge off her cheek. She studied her son, you could definitely tell that he had some sort of god genes. He was good looking. She, of course, knew almost everything about her son. She had wanted to help him when he went through his love troubles but since the incident with Persophone, she was worried about caring to much.

"Sitka's a devil, really, but I somehow still manage t' love 'im." I shrugged. The little bear had already nearly tore up one of my boots, which wasn't a good thing at all considering that they were my only pair of shoes other than the fancy shoes I wore with my tux, so now I keep everything hidden. I've told Sage and San Francisco to do that too, so hopefully nothing else'll get eaten up.
When this lady said something again, it made me stop. See her son again...? What?! No, she wouldn't be down here on earth... I mean, why the hell would she be here? There's nothing going on. I never requested to see her or anything, so why....? I tilted my head slightly, looking at her in a scrutinizing fashion. This lady did look familiar... but then again, she was extraordinarily beautiful (though not more than Chicago, mind you), and there did seem to be something different about her. "Demeter?"

•DEMETER I've never forgotten about you "Well, it was a good thing that you adopted Sitka, he seems so happy. You cant say that about very many animals" Demeter said, and it was true. Most pets were happy but wild animals had to go through a lot of suffering to survive.
"Thats my name. I thought that since winter was over I would come spend some time with my children and get to know them. I dont feel great about making you all live without a mother. Everyone needs their mother to help them through tough times" Demeter was telling a slight lie, because she did want to meet her children. All the gods and goddesses were coming to Richmond slowly. They had to make sure no one else found out about demigods. People werent supposed to know.

[color=e89b12'"No, I di'n't adopt 'im. Jus' fosterin' 'im."
[/color] I said, though I hadn't really planned on saying it so my voice was quiet and I was watching the little bear cub romping around in the shallow end of the lake. It was hard to imagine that within a year or so he would be just as big as me, though I bet he'll weigh about four times as much as I do. Really scary thought, especially if he was still here running around the lake where there're little children and small dogs. I need to find Sitka a new place to play around in.... I don't want to be trying to pull some kid up out of Sitka's throat. Very unattractive thought. When I looked back at Demeter, it was then that I began to realize how different we looked. Dad had had black hair and dark brown eyes, and I had blonde hair and one blue and one greenish-hazel eye, so I had always assumed that my awkward traits came from my mother, but apparently not. Heh, I'm a genetic freak. "I... er.... I have siblin's?" I asked, eyes getting wide at the thought. I had grown up an only child, and now there's a possiblity that I have brothers and sisters? Fucking hell, this was just an awesome hour of my life. "'n' it ain't yer fault, really, for havin' t' be up at Olympus or wherever it is y' gods 'n' goddesses are at." I shrugged lightly. •DEMETER I've never forgotten about you " Well yeah you have siblings. Persephone is your half sister along with the other children ive had, not to mention the other demigods here" Demeter laughed lightly. She found herself distracted for a moment and grew a few flowers around her feet. She picked them and weaved them into two small bracelets. The first one she placed around her wrist. Then, she called for Sitka and gently placed the other one around his paw, being careful not to get clawed. "The bracelet wont ever die and it should expand as Sitka grows. It will be a way for people to tell that he's tame"
Demeter let out a loud laugh. "I dont spend to much time in Olympus Im usually in hiding for the winter or helping farms out." Olympus wasnt her favorite place to be since there was always a lot of conflict going on between the gods and goddesses and it was annoying.

I had heard about Persephone and learned a bit about her in class, but to be honest, I never actually thought she was a real person. Really stupid for me to think that, but considering that this was the first encounter I've ever had with a goddess or anyone "out of this world," it was just hard for me to believe it. Hell, I even had trouble believing that Demeter was my mother, despite the fact that I can grow plants in matter of seconds and barely make vines grow. I began to wonder what Persephone must be like.... maybe she was like me, or a complete rebel and outgoing like Tam. Who knows? I just hoped I could meet her someday.
"Persephone.... she's with you now, right? 'n' not with Hades?" Hey, at least I could remember something from that Greek mythology class. My memory was really beginning to steadily fail me. Kind of a scary thought, if you ask me. "'n' what d' y' mean the other demigods? Er.... I know some're... cousins..." I couldn't remember where I was going with my train of thought, so I just cut off the sentence, not really bothering to finish it to prevent myself from looking even more like a fumbling idiot.
I watched her as flowers suddenly sprang up around her and she picked them, weaving them into an intricate bracelet, which she put onto Sitka's paw. Expand? How the hell could it do that and never die? Well, she was a goddess, so maybe it was just a goddess type thing. I slowly nodded. "How'd y' do that without no seeds?" I asked, fighting back that fumbling idiot feeling. All I could grow stuff from was seeds, which I got into the habit of always carrying some in my pocket. I really liked how I could grow things the way I do right now with seeds, but it just struck me as a phenomenon the way she could do that without little seeds.
"Where d' y' hide in the winter?" I asked curiously and somewhat timidly. I couldn't help but feel like I was annoying her with all these questions, but I couldn't help it. I was curious about my mother.
