Chicago was not looking forward to this. She felt sick in the stomach, and could tell she was going to have a headache later. The newly engaged seventeen year old rested her head on the top of the steering wheel of her black 2010 model Suzuki Swift, Alejandro, on the front verge of Kaleb Robertson's uptown house. If you could even call it that. Mansion more like.
What was she doing there? She had been asking herself the same question, even though she knew the answer. Chicago was sick of all the arguing, not being able to hold a civil conversation, all the snide comments. The "dislike" they had for eachother had taken hold of the two and started creeping around and poking itself into other parts of their lives as well. When Dodge and Kaleb were together, they couldnt talk about the cheerleading squad because that was an instant association with Chicago. Sarafina couldnt talk about either of them about eachother, it got too uncomfortable. Semper and Kaleb were on civil terms after having their handful of fights (which Chicago actually had nothing to do with, "thankyou very much"). But she knew if she gave him cause, her fiance would go and beat the living daylights out of Kaleb without question. All in all, the whole situation had gotten WAY out of hand, spiralled out of control, and Chicago wanted to fix it. Or at least try.
After taking a few deep breaths, Chicago got out of her car, locked it and walked nervously to the front door of the huge house, heels crunching on the dirt of the verge, then clicking softly on the driveway. When she reached the front door, she almost turned around and ran back to her car, but she took another deep breath and remebered why she was doing this. For her peace of mind, for her friends, for the poor guy himself, for everyone. The least she could do is try her best. She cleared her throat quietly and reached over to press the doorbell, hearing it chime inside. She fiddled with her hands, twisting her new favourite possesion (her engagment ring <3) around the finger it lived on. Now all she could do was wait. ------------------- tag: Kaleb notes: thought it was about time she actually TRIED to sort things out. Be warned, she isnt leaving until things are fixed, she's stubborn and determined like that. outfit: HURRR XD

Kaleb stroked the head of Renegade his Dovermen guard dog who was one of three of his faithful companions who he could actually trust. Kaleb looked at his watch, then got up off the couch then walked over to the second stair bathroom then opened a box that was sitting on the counter. He reached in and pulled out a bottle full of medication, Antidepression pills. The fights with Semper, the breaking off his engagement, the drama that Richmond was filled with was starting to drive him off the wall. But Kaleb was making a worst turn in his life, he was slowly getting addicted to those pills and was thinking about what he had left here in Richmond.........nobody. Dodger and him weren't as close as they used to be thanks to a close relationship with Chicago who took Dodger as an older brother. Life wasn't going the way he wanted to, so what was the point of living? He had nothing left except a bunch of money just sitting in the bank. Kaleb put the pill in his mouth, then got a glass that was next to the sink, he filled it up with water and drank it letting the pill slide down his throat. It was then he heard the doorbell ringing and his dogs barking, looking down at his watch he was expecting any company. He walked out of the bathroom down the stairs to a large window seeing a black car out in the lot, he didn't know anyone who had a nice car like that. He continued down the stairs whistling calling off his dogs. He opened the door then saw Chicago, he was taken by surprise "Chicago.....Come in, come in." He said moving to the side to let her in. What a surprise to see Chicago after all they didn't end on the best of terms. OUTFIT <3

It felt like it took foreve for the door to open, but in reality it was only about a minute. Chicago could here the dogs barking on the other side of the door, but she wasn't really paying attention, concentrating more on not throwing up. Maybe she should have eaten more than some celery and peanut butter for breakfast....
When the door opened, she noticed the suprise on Kalebs face, which she was expecting. What she wasn't expecting was for him to just let her in. Chicago looked at him and gave a tiny smile as he moved aside to let her in. She stepped up through the front door, and said a small "Thanks". Her fingers on her right hand were still twisitng the engagement ring, as if touching it would give her some kind of guidance or something. She was slightly comforted by its presence, and it reminded her why she was trying so hard to make things right. She moved through the front passageway and into the loungeroom type place ((I cant remember the layout of Kalebs house :S)) and looked around for a second before sitting down carefully on a couch, making a real effort to not fiddle with the ring on her hand. She didnt want to draw any attention to it, for the sole reason that she didnt want to get distracted. But, if he noticed it, he noticed it. She placed her phone and her keys on a little coffee table that was next to the couch, and looked around the room, waiting for Kaleb to sit down or speak or something. This was going to be hard. Especially because there was still that pull between them. Why did things always have to be som complicated? ------------------ tag: Kaleb notes: gah fail post D: outfit: first post

Kaleb was happy to see her again, but he couldn't help but ponder on why she was here. He followed her into the living room he was kinda nervouse the last time he saw was when Semper and him got into a fight and that was it. Sure Kaleb went to the same school but he didn't have any classes with her, and he pretty much left after lunch since he didn't have a 6th or 7th period. "Can I get you something to drink." He said as he stood next to the white armchair that was on the opposite side of the coffee table thinking it might be a good idea to give her a bit of room unless she wanted him to sit next to her. Outlaw, who was a brown and black german shepard walked up to Chicago wagging his tail, gently licking her fingers "Chicago meet Outlaw, he's the pup of the group." He said trying to add some humor to ease the tension in the room.

Chicago picked at an invisible loose thread on the hem of her light blue dress. Yeah...it was abit awkward, but they had to get past it sooner or later. She looked up when he spoke, but had to clear her throat before she could manage to say anything "Uhm, could I just have a glass of water thanks? That'd be great..." She held eye contact for a few seconds as he stood next to the armchair, but then a German Shepherd came and started licking her fingers. She looked down at the dog, giving him a grin as he wagged his tail. "Outlaw huh? Thats a cool name, I bet you pull all the girls with that one dont you?" she spoke out loud, but was talking more to the dog as she gave him a scratch under the chin and around his collar. ------------- tag: kaleb notes: i saw your note in the cbox before but didnt have time to answer. If you're okay with that, I think she'll do that XD outfit: first post

Kaleb knew he didn't have to worry about Outlaw he was the more friendly one out of three it was Renegade and Jester he had to worry about since they more of the guard dog types. He nodded at Chicago then walked into the kitchen, opened a cabinet then got a glass cup for Chicago he put a little bit of ice in it then poured the water in. He walked back towards the living room, placing the glass on the coffee table infront of her "There you are. So how have you been?" He asked her, ignoring the fact with messing with something on her finger. Outlaw looked upat Chicago with brown colored eyes then rested his head on her lap. Jester shook his head then walked over to the white armchair witch his owner was sitting in and sat beside him, Kaleb stroked the back of Jester's head.

Outlaw seemed to really like her, which she was fine with. She loved animals, and had a dog and a horse of her own. She continued to talk to the dog in a quiet voice, with a small smile on her face until Kaleb returned with her water. "Thanks." She had to give him abit of a look when he asked how she was. She knew he was only asking to be polite. Everything to do with her was giftwrapped in drama and tied in a bow with a little extra angst. "You don't want to know how I've been. You know me, I have to do everything the hard way, complete with unneccesary theatrics..." Chicago trailed off, and then mentally kicked herself because she was here to fix things, not make them worse. Covering her face with her hands for a minute, then gave a deep sigh, looking towards Kaleb again as Outlaw got comfortable with his head in her lap. "Look Kaleb, I'm sorry. That was uncalled for. ...We need to talk. Yeah? And I'm not leaving until we get this mess sorted out. Thats why I'm here." She figured she might as well just blurt it all to start with so that he knew what he was in for. ----------------- tag: kaleb notes: none at this stage i dont think :S

Kaleb watched Outlaw carefully to make sure he didn't try to sulk up to Chicago, Outlaw was still a puppy till he reached the age of five, when he was currently three. Kaleb didn't mind that he was a sweet dog, he just needed to be more of a guard dog. Kaleb looked back at Chicago, he leaned back against the car with a sigh as he heard Chicago's reply, he looked away for a moment then back to her, the pill was kicking in and that was why he didn't say anything that would make him an asshole towards Chicago, that was the last thing he wanted. It seemed Chicago wasn't better with her life ever since he stopped talking to her the last time they saw eachother witch was a almost a month ago, "Don't worry about it. After all I deserve for making an ass of myself towards Semper, but it won't be a problem anymore i'm gonna drop out of Richmond. I'm done with Richmond and it's drama, besides there's nothing left for me there anyway." He said to her, "Chicago, we both know that everytime one of us tries to to solve the problem, it escalates." He said as he got up, while walking towards the fireplace he rubbed his neck with there was a fresh scar from when Semper decided to try and strangle him to death and dig his nails into his skin. When Kaleb kicked him off, Semper got a bit of his skin, that mark would remain with him for the rest of his life as a reminder, "But if you want it to stop, i'm willing to take the chance before someone gets hurt. He said as he looked towards her, then quickly away. It felt awkward with her here, but he would have to live with it.

She couldn't beleive what she was hearing. ...Well actually she could. She was just kind of suprised to here it coming from Kaleb, though Semper had told her about Kaleb wanting to drop out. This is why she was here. All this stuff that he wanted to give up, all this stuff he was thinking...it was her fault.
Chicago gave the dog a quick pat on the head as she stood and started to walk around the room slowly as she spoke. "Maybe you do deserve a little bit of a hard time for the whole Semper thing, but he's as much to blame as you are. Although, so am I. Truth be told, at the time I was angry at you so I didn't discourage him... And its not going to solve anything dropping out Kaleb. You're like a month away from graduating. I understand that the drama is getting to you...but thats why I'm really trying to fix it. I know I don't show it well, but I do think you are a good guy Kaleb, and you do not deserve for your association with me to be ruining your life. Literally. And I mean, Dodger is still here, and so is Sarafina. They're your friends. Though I know that its becoming harder for you to talk with Dodge because he's like an older brother to me. I know its hard for you to talk to Frass because she's one of my best friends, and it probably seems like everyone you talk to wants to say something about something I'm associated with. I understand that, I really do. And its not fair. No-one should have to put up with any of that shit, and I am truly sorry that I was so caught up in it all that I didn't recognise sooner what it was doing to you." She paused as she though about what to say next. "It only escalates because we let it take control of us, instead of controlling it ourselves. I'm willing to take responsibility for that. I'm an over emotional person. I let things like this spiral out of control and then wonder where I went wrong, it happens to me over and over again, though never before on a scale quite like this. But there is stuff between us that needs to be sorted out."
She looked at him, even though he wasnt looking at her, with a desperate look in her eyes. "I really do want this to end. I want us to be able to have a normal conversation. Maybe even be friends, if thats possible." Chicago looked at her shoes in shame, "People have already gotten hurt. They've been getting hurt for months." she wasnt only talking about physical hurt here. "Im fully prepared to sit here 24 hours a day for a week if thats how long it takes to sort this out. You can say anything you want, ask me anything and I wont say a thing. I promise. This needs to be dealt with and it needs to be dealt with now, and I'll do anything to help that happen."
The young girl took a breath as she looked towards Kaleb standing at the fireplace after her little speech. She felt liek she had gottne alot off her chest, but there were still plenty of issues to sort through. She felt pretty awkward, not just because he was her ex, and not just because she was newly engaged and now visitng her ex's house, but because of all that, plus the fact they hadnt had a proper conversation in at least a month, and there was still a pull between them, like a chemistry that was kind of fuzy and distorted. She would never cheat on Semper, and she would die if something happened to him, or they couldnt be together anymore, but the fact of the matter was that she was an Aphrodite child, and sparks and things that she had with people before, unfortunatley just didnt disappear as soon as she broke up with them. Suddenly feeling a little bit queasy she looked to Kaleb quickly then looked away, and spoke again quickly "Uhhm, I'm just going to nip upstairs to the bathroom and let you...think about all that..." and nodded to herself and made her way to the staircase. Kaleb let out a sigh, all this drama was close to driving him was pretty close to insane. But witch Chicago here it brought him some relief to hear that she wanted to solve this promlem that was created and that she was blaming it on her, Kaleb looked over to her "It's not your fault Chicago, I was the one who moved too fast. So it's my fault, but I don't know how this fighting with Semper started." He said to her looking her in the eyes but then quickly looking away before doing something that he might regret. When he heard her say that it was hard for him to hang out with Dodger and Sarafina it was all true, something always popped up about Chicago while hanging out with those to, but who could blame them, Chicago was a very nice person, caring, loving everything that a friend could want. Kaleb felt bad that Chicago was blaming herself for the drama and pain he was going throug.
When she heard that he needed the restoom he was about to say where it was but she was already up the stairs. He let out another sigh, then placed his hands on the mantle piece above the fireplace, leaning against it. God, he felt so bad for Chicago blaming herself for the problems he created, he shook his head as he felt a tear go down his cheek. But he quickly wiped it away with his hand, he wanted Chicago to stop blaming herself for this.

Having made an escape to the second floor bathroom just seconds prior, Chicago was now sitting on the floor in front of the locked door, leaning her head back against it. This was lot more emotionally draining than she had thought it would be. Giving a sigh, she pushed herself up off the floor and paced around the fairly sizeable bathroom for a minute, trying to sort herself out in her brain.
------------------
After a couple of minutes of pacing, and then using the facilities, Chicago was at the sink washing her hands when she noticed a box on the counter. It looked like it came from a pharmacy and she wondered if what was in the box could be the antidepressants Frass had been telling her about. Reaching over to grab the box, she opened it and pulled out the bottle of pills and read the label. Yep, antidepressants. She gave a deep sigh. People got hooked to these things really quickly, and she didnt want Kaleb to become addicted to antidpression drugs, and she was certain that Kaleb wouldnt want to either. Holding the bottle in her hand, she had no choice but to stuff it down her bra, seeing as she didnt even bring her bag with her today, it was still at home on her bed. God this was awkward. After she had positioned it so that you couldnt tell it was there (by some miracle), Chicago put the box back where it came from, and left the bathroom and went back downstairs.
