Every step was pure agony, the feeling of two broken ribs moving underneath her skin the feeling of her own blood covering her hands was something she never wanted to experiance. She stumbled against a wall, feeling her body wanting to collasp from pure exhaustion and blood loss, her body was screaming in pure pain wanting to just fall to ground wanting to give up, but Sarafina wasn't gonna give up. But where would she go? Richmond was too far away, she was nowhere near her car, she looked around and saw the Firemen station, then Semper's truck in the parking lot. She knew Semper wasn't going to like what she saw at all, but she had no choice. She walked out of the alley, crossed the street and infront of the Fire Department, the garage door was opening. Sarafina suddenly fell down to her knees placing her head on the ground. She wanted to scream as blood dripped down her wrist and dripped to the ground, the feeling of her broken rips was hurting her more then ever, Sarafina didn't have to strength to lay down on her knees, she fell down landing on her side that was covered in blood. She tried to call out for help but she was too exhausted and slipping in and out of counscience to call out.

It was a slow evening.... not that I wanted a fire to happen. No, no, no. Just slow as in nothing happening. I was on the graveyard shift tonight, so the only ones in the station were me and two other people, but they were always off on rounds rather than stay put with me. Not that I minded, though. I was used to being alone, but the thing is, I was tired, and being along meant no one was there to help keep myself awake. And you know what they say to do when you don't have anything else to do? Wash the trucks.
I was out in the garage getting buckets and brushes when I heard a soft thud. At first I thought it had just been something falling, but something felt.... off. I paused, looking around, but saw nothing. "I need sleep." I muttered to myself, rubbing my face with my hand to try to get the sleep out of my eyes.
Heading over to the truck, I was going around the front when I saw her lying on the ground in a pool of red. Sassifrass. Instantly my blood ran cold. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as I stood there frozen, dropping the bucket I had in my hand.
"Sassifrass!"
I ran over and slid onto my knees beside her, trying to figure out what happened. "Sis.... fuckin' hell, Sis, what the hell happened?!" I tried to keep from panicking, but how are you supposed to do that when your sister is lying on the floor bleeding out? Before she could answer, I got up and bolted for the first aid, snatching up the pads and gauze tape before going back over to her.
"Sis....? Can you hear me?" I asked, kneeling down next to her. While listening for an answer, I looked over at the wound, trying to get over the nauseating smell of blood. Whatever had happened, it caused a lot of blood loss. Obviously not a good sign. "I know this is gonna hurt, but we gotta get that t' stop bleedin'." I gently took her hand off the wound, lifted up the side of her shirt since it didn't look like it was stuck to the wound, then placed the pad on the wound, applying pressure to it as lightly as I could.

Sarafina couldn't do anything, she didn't have a strength left to move every ounce of strength she had went into getting here before collasping to the ground infront of the Richmond Fire Department. She just laid there, a puddle of blood forming right next to her and there was nothing she could do to put more pressure on it. Then a sound of a bucket dropping was able to bring her back from laying out cold infront of the Fire Department.
The sound of Semper's voice brought of comfort to her but it doesn't mean she was out of harms way, in a blink of an eye he was next to her asking her what happened. She knew that Semper was afraid just as much as she was afterall all they had was eachother, after founding out that they were siblings they got closer then ever. And she was all Semper had in family relationship wise. Just like he was quickly next to her she saw that he was gone, then back next to her with a first aid kit, he gently took her bloody hand away from her wound then lifted up her shirt.
Sarafina could feel the warm blood just oozing from the wound she got from Bear's blade, after encoutering him in the alley, he left her there to die and he seemed to not care. Sarafina couldn't even think about the trouble she was in all that was on her mind was Semper, and Dodger the two people who she cared most about in her life, S......Semper.... She said weakly, it was then she felt the padding against her wound, she let out a loud groan of pain as pain surged through her body from him touching it, even though he was touching it lightly, it felt like she just got stabbed by another blade. She heard the sound of running footsteps before blacking out again.

I couldn't even begin to imagine how much pain she was in. I've never been stabbed before, so I couldn't compare. The good thing was, when I first joined the fire department, they gave me a crash course in first aid, expanding from what my dad had originally taught me. It was a lot more in depth and, luckily, one of the things they taught us was treating stab wounds.
The sound she made when I put the gauze on the wound made me cringe. I knew it hurt like hell, but what else could I do? "Jus' stay still... you'll b' alright." I told her, but as I looked back at the gauze pad, it was soaked red all the way through. "Fuck..." I took the drenched pad off and replaced it, my fingers staining the sterile pad red before it even touched the wound. Good Ripred, if I wasn't panicking earlier, I was panicking now. The damn thing wouldn't stop bleeding! I applied more pressure, already cringing as if Sassifrass was crying out against me, but she wasn't.... oh fuck.
"Sis?" I asked cautiously, looking at her face. Her eyes were closed. I placed my red-stained finger under her nose and felt a slow, but constant, flow of air. At least she was still breathing. Giving a small sigh of relief, I returned to dressing the wound, thankful that at least she couldn't feel the pain anymore.
I ran for a clean wet rag, lightly washing the skin around the wound to get the blood off. After drying it, I put gauze tape over the red-ing pad, just enough to hold while I took her to the hospital. I lifted Sassifrass and carried her over to the firetruck I was going to clean. My truck keys were in my locker and the keys to the firetruck were in the driver's seat of the big rig, so not having a faster way to transport her, I laid her in the passenger side of the cab and closed the door. Running around the front, I got into the driver's seat, shoved the key in the ignition, and brought the engine roaring to life.
I knew for a fact that I was going to get into trouble for doing this, but when a person's life is on the line, does it really matter?
Pulling out of the garage, I turned all the lights on and then the siren, heading out onto the road and picking up speed. Okay, so maybe the siren and lights were a bit of overkill, but Sassifrass could be dying for all I knew. I needed to get to the hospital as fast as I could, so why not use them? At least now I wouldn't plow over people and other cars.
There wasn't really anyone out on the roads, but the closer I got to the hospital, the denser the traffic got. People moved to the sides to let me through; usually I'd feel guilty for taking advantage of people like this, but Sassifrass was more important to me at the moment.
There wasn't a parking spot big enough for the firetruck, so I just took up a whole row of spots and shut off the rig quickly, getting out and taking Sassifrass with me, holding her tightly and taking her inside after being sure to lock the truck. Don't want anyone else stealing the thing, now, do we?
