Sarafina loaded up up Pandora into the two horse trailer, Pandora nickered nervously "Hey, your okay girl we're just going for a ride. She said softly gently stroking her neck, then exited the trailer lifting the ramp up and locking it. She looked around then took out a sugar cube that was in her pocket she went to the window of the trailer and held out the sugar cube to Pandora, who eagerly lipped it from her owners hand. Sarafina was excited, she and her brother were going to spend some quality brother and sister time just him and her looking at stud horses at a Draft Horse Stud farm that was a fifthteen-twenty minute drive. After having to take Lance back, it gave Sarafina the chance to breed Pandora and get a foal out of her. She turned around to see Semper coming, "Hey Semper, thanks again. Your the only person I could count on for this since I have no knowledge of Draft horses. She said walking up to him hugging him. |

Well damn. The midtown had some pretty damn nice houses. To any other person they'd seem normal, but to me they were fancy-pants places. I was used to living in a modified barn as a house, mind you, so all this fanciness was just boggling me like a stupid person. I was so used to old and rickety things that... yeah. Weird, eh? Hmm... yeah. Not the reason I was in the midtown. Back to the topic.
Today, Sassifrass wanted to take Pandora, her new mare, to go look at studs to breed her with. She had said that she wanted a draft horse to be the sire, and since I'm draft-obsessed (hence Bell), she asked me to come. Of course I was more than happy to! She's my sister and we were going to look at drafts. How much better could that get?
I stood there quietly as Sassifrass closed up the trailer. I would've helped her, but she had gotten to it before I did, so I was just there for moral support.
"Anytime," I said, smiling and giving her an obnoxious bear hug like any other obnoxious big brother would do. "So where is this stud place? I ain't ever been there before."

Sarafina knew she got lucky with Semper being her older-half brother, she wouldn't choose anyone else to be her older brother. He was a great guy, funny, protective and he hardly got angry except when Kaleb was around, Semper was in short terms- Was the best damn older she could ask for.
Sarafina could care less when he gave her an obnoxious bear hug, she enjoyed his hugs knowing him since her freshmen year she got used to it quickly, "It's about ten minutes away, do you want me to drive or you? She asked him, probably knowing the answer to his question already. Pandora let out a whinny as if saying "Can we hurry it up please?!" Sarafin looked at the trailer then back to Semper.

"Nah, I got it." I was used to hauling trailers around, so a short ten minute drive down the road wouldn't be hard at all.
I let Sassifrass go when I heard Pandora's whinny. "The door's unlocked." I went back over to the hitch and made sure everything was hooked properly and such before going back and getting into the driver's seat, turning on the old truck and waiting until Sassifrass was in and settled. I carefully got the truck and trailer out of the loading dock and out onto the road, keeping to the slow lane.
Whenever I had a trailer of livestock of any sort, I never went above fifty miles per hour under any circumstance. No need to risk the lives of the animals or losing control of the trailer. It was something my dad had always told me and it just stuck in my memory, much like the phrase, "If you're not bleeding or a bone isn't sticking out, you're fine." yeah, that'll get me far. Heh.
I reached over and turned on the radio, just leaving it on and letting Sassifrass decide which station to listen to.

"Alright then." She said, then walked over to Pandora giving her a reassuring stroke on her back, she was obviously noticing that Rio wasn't there. Even though she's had Pandora a few weeks she and Rio already got along as if they've known eachother for their entire lives it was a quite putting them in a pasture and watch them play fight it was too adorable.
She got into the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt, when the truck finally was on the road Semper turned on the radio, Sarafina smiled at him. Ever since she found out Semper was actually her real half-brother they seemed a lot closer, Sarafina shook her head as she yawned "Soccer is gonna be the death of me one of these days." She said to Semper thinking it was too quiet in the truck.

I couldn't help but snicker. "Pfft. I think you'll be the death of soccer." I said, glancing at her briefly before looking back out on the road, laughing lightly. "You go out there 'n' kick ass like there's no tomorrow. No wonder you guys're so good. Especially those panther pussy cats." Ah, it was always an excellent game whenever we kicked the Permian Panther's asses, and it was an especially good day if we beat them by a lot. Mwuhahaha.

Sarafina couldn't help but laugh at his response, Sarafina never really thought she was the best one on the team but then again she was made captain of the soccer team but she never really told people that she was captain she just wanted them to find out for themselves. Sarafina looked at him "Well, I am planning to take the soccer team to State. The soccer team hasn't gone to state in a while. And come on Semper i'm hearing this from the Archery Captain you gotta admit your team will and shall kick ass." She said to him just staring at him with a smile on her face.

"You'll take 'em far," I said, nodding and keeping my eyes on the road. "Or else I'll set up trap doors under every stadium you guys go t' 'n' I'll discreetly take out the other team one by one." When she mentioned archery, though, I shrugged. "S'what we like t' think, but I doubt we'll make it that far. Hell, I'd be surprised if we even make it past the first round of finals. 'n' y' know what? My problem is that I can only hit movin' targets, nothin' stationary. What's wrong with that?" I couldn't help but laugh at myself and how pathetic that was. My dad used to take me hunting all the time back home, so I was used to shooting deer or turkey as they tried to get away; but motionless targets? There couldn't be anything harder. I seriously have no idea why.
Once we got near to the stud farm, I pulled into the driveway and came to a slow stop outside the barn. The place looked fairly fancy, so I wasn't really complaining. But what to do now, I had no idea. I looked over at Sassifrass, waiting for her to make the first move.

Sarafina couldn't help but laugh at Semper saying that he would have trap doors on the soccer field, that would be interesting to see the rival teams soccer players just vanish off the field. Sarafina wondered what it would be like to go hunting with Semper would be like, she couldn't help but when Semper said he could only shoot moving targets, but she was supposed to give him a hard time.
Sarafina smiled at the site of the Stud Farm it was something that was for sure, as soon as Semper turned off the engine she got out of the car then unlocked the horse trailer ramp then slowly lowered it to the ground, she clicked her tongue a couple of time "Come on Pandora...Thatta girl." She praised as the mare started to back out of trailer. Pandora's ears went forward as she smelled the scent of other horses, she swung her head wildly then reared neighing, "Hey easy girl." She said calmly as she held onto the lead rope.
