WELL SHE LIVES IN A F A I R Y T A L E insert image here![/IMG] SOMEWHERE TOO FAR FOR US TO FIND - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I walked into Starbucks, feeling the sleek black credit card in my back pocket, burning a hole in it. I had just went to the bank the other day, only to find out pretty damn quick that everyone was staring at me. Apparently, my father had deposited copious amounts of cash into my account, and had me registered as a V.I.P client. What a fucker! He doesn't call for two entire fucking years, but at least he's giving me money. I thought. Well, I won't look a free fortune in the mouth. Or Benjamin. I smirked to myself, and walked to the counter. Unfortunately, there was a line. Granted, it was a very short line, but a line all the same. Three people stood in front of me, all deliberating what to get. The man at the front, a younger guy with black hair, was tripping over his words. Like, seriously; it was like this guy had never learned to talk. Don't mean to be rude, but it was fucking hilarious. I studied the guy for a minute longer, and saw a small, thin string-like tube, barely visible, curling around his left ear. Oh. He's deaf. I mused. Well, I guess it's acceptable to trip over your words if you've never heard any before.
The next person was almost as bad as the deaf man. She was a pretty blonde girl who was giggling and snorting as she tried to compose herself. I didn't know how a human being could possibly be so obnoxious. Then I noticed that this blonde girl was not the only one being obnoxious. Ten yards away sat three incredibly stupid, incredibly annoying, and incredibly fake-looking blonde girls giggling and snorting like the girl in line. I caught small parts of the three blondes' conversation; "...ask him out" "...never had a chance..." "...oh, this is precious" I felt a rush of rage fly through me; I hated it when people were bullied by people they thought to be friends. Blood-driven, half-formed battle plans formed in my mind. They were good plans, all telling me how to take out the three girls quickly and quietly, without leaving any trace left behind. I ignored the second instinct, and looked back to the pretty blonde girl in line. Her eyes found mine for one second, and she read the mix of pity and anger in them. One of her perfect eyebrows raised infinitesimally. She composed herself, nodded slightly, and gave her order, not even a slight trace of a giggle or break in her voice. She turned away from the counter, gave a half-smile to me, and started a conversation with the deaf man in perfect hand signs.
The third person, an adorable, tiny four-year old girl, was standing awkwardly and shyly in front of the counter, both of her hands entangled behind her back, while her body rotated forty degrees in both directions, her gaze centered at the cashier. The girl was cute now, but when she grew older, she would be very beautiful. She had chocolate brown eyes — the exact same color of my own — and reddish-brown hair. Her small body was already showing the signs of very womanly curves. She wore very little-girlish clothes, with a pink shirt, blue jeans, and Converse shoes. Her red-brown hair was tied up in two little pig-tails. Finally, she managed to buck up the courage to ask the cashier, "Can I hab a stwaw?" in a very adorable, four-year-old voice. The cashier smiled down at her, pointed off somewhere behind me, and said "They're by the trash cans." Then the little girl skipped off without a goodbye or thanks, leaving me with the cashier alone. I then realized that, during my people-watching, I hadn't thought of something I wanted. I would look stupid if I thought for too long, given the extensive amount of time I was given, so I just quickly ordered a coffee, stepped aside, and began a conversation with the blonde girl.

"'Bye." I said just as my own order came. I assented my thanks, took the coffee and walked through the place where aline had once been. I found out pretty quickly that it was no longer an empty line. Instead of walking through gracefully and sexily as I'd planned, I ran into someone, and spilled coffee all over their jeans. I gasped once, looked up, and started stammering half-formed apologies. "I'm so sorry; I should've been more care — " then I saw the face. "Well look who it is!" I smiled, and then continued apologizing. I paused, and looked to the cashier, who was watching the scene in shock. "Well? Are you gonna get a fucking towel or are you just gonna stand there like a gay man with no penis?" I shouted at him, and he scrambled to the back quickly. I looked back at the face of Zachary Mychels, and said, "I'm not nearly as nice as I was last night, love."

"Same here, as you can tell." Zac said, and looked into my eyes. The cashier timidly tapped me on the shoulder. "That's what I thought." Imuttered threateningly. I turned back to Zac, and looked him over. Zac was seriously a very sexy guy. He had brown eyes of almost the exact shade asmy own. He had my colored hair, and it was a bit longer than my own. Zac was dressed in a plain purple t-shirt and tight-fitting blue jeans, an outfit that I, myself, would've worn. The only thing that marred the oufit was the steaming brown stain running at the hem of his jeans. He didn't seem to be in horrible pain, but it would come to him eventually. "Well, this sort of proves how small of a world this is." I said, smirking and handed Zac the towel. "Now, would you like to go to the bathroom and clean that up while I deal with this —" I jabbed a thumb at the cashier, who squeaked in apparent terror "—idiot? Or would you like to sit down while I get another coffee?" I smiled once more and looked into Zac's eyes. I was visited by the urge to kiss him again, but I would save that for later.

Zac called from one of the two-seat tables. I snatched the free coffee that the cashier had gotten me from his hands, and walked calmly over to the table. I slid into the seat, and studied Zac's face for a bit. At first, it was just the normal, smiling face of the guy I had kissed last night. Perfect white teeth, caramel hair, chocolate eyes, and a brilliant smile. But then I noticed something that only someone who was really paying attention to Zac would notice. The pale, semi-shining substance of a tear track. Zac's been crying. I thought, shocked. But why? I decided that, rather than guess, I would ask. "Why've you been crying, love?" I asked, brushing my thumb over his cheek.

Zac was kissing me. It was incredible. Better than last night had been. A million times better than that shitty relationship with Jessica had been. I kissed him back, not feeling the slightest bit guilty, when I felt everyone's stares on my back. Then my lips were alone once more. Zac had pulled back. I opened my eyes in shock, and watched as Zac winked at me and took a sip of his coffee. My first reaction was joy; he had kissed me. Again! My second reaction was sorrow; the kiss was over. Over so much quicker than the last one. My third reaction was irritation; he still hadn't answered me. Did he not trust me? Did he think I'd laugh at his pain? I pushed the questions away, and composed myself. "As incredibly enjoyable as that was, you didn't answer my question." I said, and took one of Zac's hands. "Can I have an answer now?"

We were best friends. One day he came over and I kissed him and he got really mad and started beating me up. He punched me and kneed me and then pushed me down and left." Zac said, and another tear rolled down his cheek. I didn't know what to say. I got the feeling that Zac was only telling part of the story. Thankfully, I was saved the trouble of responding, because Zac kissed me. I kissed him back, trying to put my unspoken sorrow into it. I didn't care that Zac was crying. I didn't care that everyone was watching us. It was utter bliss. Perfection. Perfection as our lips met and twisted around eachother in strange ways that they had never moved before. Perfection, as I shed my own tears. Tears of joy, because of the perfection I was connected to. Tears of joy, because I could feel his heartbeat thumping in his throat. Tears of joy, because this moment was perfect.

Bliss, bliss, bliss, and more fucking bliss. That was all that I felt at the moment. Zac and I were still connected quite completely, our lips still mashed together, still kissing vigorously and perfectly. A slight feeling of ice ran down my lower back, as I remembered dreaming of doing this with Jessica. Ha ha. Jessica. What a bullshit relationship that was. Nothing compared to this. I felt Zac wraping his arms around my neck. My first reaction was to do the same, but instead I fixed my right hand on his waist, and the left one on his right cheek. I felt his tongue in my mouth, and opted to do the same. I could barely control the instinctive tensings and occasional gasp from escaping, but I managed. I remained there for a full minute, and then pulled back slightly, staring into Zac's eyes. "Well, love." I said, smirking and breathless. "Something tells me that guy you liked had absolutely no idea what he was missing. ...But we should probably take this little love train somewhere else, no? We're causing a bit of a scene." The blonde girl I had talked to earlier was silently applauding me, and gave me a thumbs-up. The deaf man was at her side, and they were arm-in-arm, still talking.
