Being the new kid in a wealthy and prosperous school could have one or two possible outcomes. One, she could blend right in and become a social butterfly with an endless amount of friends and acquaintances and feel right at home. Two, she could feel incredibly alone and awkward in a school overrun by the children of Aphrodite who felt the need to look at themselves every two minutes. Catriona's first day at Richmond High School was just like any other day, she spent most of her day getting used to the rhythm of things and found herself doodling on her notebook to pass the time. And when she was completely out of paper to take notes on, she resorted to scribbling her schedule down on the palm of her hand. Cat tossed her school books into her car and didn't think twice about them, they would gather dust by the time the semester was over anyway. Cat went straight from school to the auto repair shop and changed the oil and replaced her tires on the DeLorean her mom won in a museum raffle. Despite its overall good quality, she took as best car of it as she possibly good and hoped it would last her for years to come.
Since she skipped lunch picking up her textbooks, Cat's stomach was demanding for something to much on. With twenty bucks in her pocket and time to kill, she drove until she saw the "Mellow Mushrooms" in the distance. Absolutely perfect.
Cat dug out her money and made her way to the order line.“ Can I have a single slice, and a lemonade?…”

Today was an incredibly boring day for Blaise. She didn't feel like doing much at all not even surfing. She decided to go to the Mellow Mushroom shes been hearing about. She figured it was better than sitting around doing nothing. Blaise jumped into her motorcycle and headed down there.
Upon arrival she took off her helmet and lit up a cigarette. She noticed that there was a girl walking in that she hasn't seen around before. A slight smirk came over her face as she discreetly checked her out. She got off of her motorcycle and went inside standing in line behind the girl.
Blaise pulled out her wallet and put a twenty dollar bill on the counter. "I got this for you." She said this with a warm smile on her face.

Catriona tossed her car keys into the air and caught them out of boredom, with her sneaker key chain resting in the palm of her hand. There were times when she wished she drove something a little more discreet and blended in, but she felt unique and expressive when she drove up to school in a car with gull-wing door She was too shy for her own good, preferring to blend in rather than stand out like every other demigod on this campus. She could blame her father for that, being the daughter of the God of Death guaranteed you were going to be a little less than normal. But that suited just fine with her, being a little strange was fine by her.
Cat was deep in random thought and was completely gone to space when a fellow student walked through the door and slapped a twenty to the cashier. "Thanks, that's awfully nice of you.” Catriona could accredit her social graces to her mother, and certainly not her father. "The name's Cat, I owe you one.”

Blaise smiled at the girl "Any time, I'm Blaise it's nice to meet you." Blaise was a very outgoing person she never really had much trouble meeting new people. Some people kind of intimidated her but other than that she was pretty smooth with meeting them.
The girl was very clean cut and very well mannered. She figured that she came from a rich family or at least a family that was more well off than Blaise's. Her family wasn't poor but wasn't rich either, you could say that they were comfortable. That didn't matter really they didn't pay much attention to her at all. That's probably why they sent her to this school.
"So are you new around here?" She hasn't seen her around before so figured she just joined the school. She wondered if her parents sent her here for the same reason Blaise's did. It seemed that a lot of the students here were sent to this school because they were too "out of control" for their parents could handle.

There was something enchanting about the smell of freshly baked pizza and the sweet tang of the lemonade. Being new could open up several doors for her, and she fully intended on opening all of them in stride. And if she could make friends along the way, then that was just the icing on the cake. Cat was completely wrapped up in the introduction process but she had forgotten how hungry she truly was. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Blaise." Naturally, she was eager to explore everything that Richmond, California had to offer. "I'm Catriona." With a last name like Ravenwood, it only made sense that her parents were witty enough to chose a name that was just as unique as their daughter.
She would never classify herself as shy, but she could be somewhat sheepish and anything but bold. Of course, anyone could change and Catriona was no exception. "I moved a few days ago, I'm originally from Brazil but I've lived in the States for as long as I can remember."

Blaise knew that this girl looked exotic. Brazil sounded like a great place to visit. Eventually Blaise would travel the world and Brazil would be one of the stops she made sure to make. She wondered if Catriona felt just as home sick as Blaise did at times.
"I could show you around if you want." She had a smile on her face as she offered this to her. It would be good to have another friend that probably felt the same way she did. "I moved here from Ireland."
Blaise figured that her and Catriona would hit it off pretty well. They seemed to have at least one thing in common. She hoped in the back of her mind that she liked to drink just like Blaise did. Since she was usually drinking all the time.
