Zeus walked around the Quad of Richmond High School. He had already dealt with the problem child at the school so in all reality he could have gone home. However, Zeus knew he had to stick around to make sure any loose ends were tied up. No one wanted people to start asking questions about Bear being struck by lightning and him opening his big mouth again. While the demigods probably knew what happened the humans still had to remain clueless. He believed Bear's punishment was fair no matter how much the son of Ares was complaining.
The bell rang indicating a class change or maybe lunch. A flood of students and teachers, demigod and human alike, flooded the Quad and Zeus watched intently. If anyone asked him who he was or why he was there, he would obviously use his cover as Joshua Beaman, Director of the Board of Education. He would probably say he was simply examining classes or something along those lines. Humans believed anything and the demigods dared not ask. It was a fool proof plan really.

Callix pushed his way through the crowd of students and teacher. Despite being taller, he still got tousled by upperclassmen and impatient staff members. This was ridiculous. He hoped changing classes wouldn't be this bad. High school was going to be terrible if it was..
Finally he gave up trying to push against the current of people, and moved to the side. He was suppose to be getting used to the school; learning where everything was and where he needed to go for what. Between the demi-god sections and the regular sections, it was hard not to get lost. And then there were all the people. Callix never thought school was going to be this hard.
He shook his head, and reached into the pockets of his cargo shorts. He pulled out a hand drawn map of the school. It wasn't helping him very much, but the lunch room was marked and he was hungry. He could find his way there at least. And if not, then some other poor freshman would find his shriveled body in the corner of a far flung classroom.
Looking down at the map, he began to walk. Not paying attention though, he tripped over a large rock, and bumped into a man standing down from him. He hadn't even seen the guy there. Now he felt him. Before Callix could open his mouth to apologize, it felt like he'd stuck a million D batteries to his tongue.
Callix stepped back, looking at the man in disbelief. He rubbed his face, still feeling a slight pulse. There was that feeling again. The same feeling he'd gotten when he met Abby and the other demi-gods; only this was much, much stronger. Just.. Raw.
Jesus and Mary,
he said, staring. Who are you? Callix's head was spinning. In the farthest part of his brain he knew who this man was. But he couldn't process it. It went against everything he knew. Everything he ever believed. But only something supernatural could create a force that he'd felt, and still felt; churning in his stomach. It was instincts, that he had never felt before. Some how, he knew he should be as polite to this man as he would be if he were sipping tea with the Queen of England. I'm, sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going and I tripped. Are you..? He couldn't finish the sentence. The word clung to his teeth. You're, one of, them? He stared, wide eyed and dumbfounded. His first god, and this is how they met: Callix acting like a clumsy clueless dork. How great. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

This wasn't my first time living among the humans. Oh, how I loved them.... not really. I only saw them as sex toys, in a way. Well, the females, at least. The males were a lot less appealing to me, Samuel Langhorn Clemens. HA! Get it? Mark Twain? Thought you did not. You're all losers, anyway. Want some of my wine? WELL YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY. Zeus Mom didn't want any, so you can't have any either.
Anyway, as I was strutting across the campus, guess who I saw? Zeus. Speak of the devil. Not only that, but he was with some boy. Bear, maybe? No, that couldn't be him. The kid had been struck by lightning, so I doubted he'd be back anytime soon. But oh the joy I could have with Zeus Mom.
A smirk drew across my face as I sauntered over to Zeus and what's-his-face-the-kid. "Heya." I said. Even though I knew this kid was a demigod -- I could sense it, thank you very much -- I didn't want to single out Zeus by calling him mom, though you can bet your scrawny ass that I'll single him out later. Heheh.

All of a sudden, a body crashed into his and Zeus looked down to see what clumsy kid bumped him. Zeus could see the instant change on the boy's face when he realized who...or rather what he was. It was easy to tell he was a demigod. All gods, goddesses, and demigods gave off this sort of..aura. It was stronger in a god than a demigod, and even stronger in Zeus who was the king of gods. A scoff escaped Zeus' lips at the kid's reaction. "Jesus and Marry, they don't exist." Of course god of the sky never would have said anything like that to a regular human, but he was fine saying that sort of thing to the son of.....Dionysus. Really? Zeus sighed heavily already hating the kid.
Zeus opened his mouth to confirm the kid's suspicion when that voice suck the words right out of him. That voice, the voice he had heard so many times and made his teeth clench. Zeus took a moment to close his in order to keep his composure. He turned his head slightly, disappointed. He knew it was Dionysus. Sure, he had hoped maybe it was just some nerdy kid that had his voice, but no such luck. "What are you doing here?" Dionysus' son soon faded to the back of Zeus' mind. He was here for a job and there was this joke of a god wandering around the school like it was a playground.

It truly was hard to find anything around this school. It had been her first week at Richmond, and Sasha had gotten lost so many times that her teachers just ignored her now whenever she came into class. It was quite frustrating really how they casually brushed aside her tardiness. So far no one had offered to help her find where anything was, and her natural shyness around people had left her tongue tied. That, and the fact that after the first day of classes the young Russian American had become highly self conscious of her accent. These were the things that she never had to worry about when she had been home schooled by her mother.
It's all just a learning experience. There is a first time for anything, plus it would be weird if I was haven't problems so early in the game. She thought to herself as she heard the class bell ring. Luckily she had somehow managed to get to her ballet class on time, and the teacher had even cast a smile her way. These were little baby steps on her way to finally fitting into this school. Now if she became increasingly amazing at ballet, or did something positive that got her noticed then maybe her goal of succeeding t this school would be a success. With this thought, she quickly slipped on a pair of flats before placing her en pointe shoes into her bag and then leaving the classroom.
Slowly the young girl walked in the direction of what she assumed was the Quad. Sasha had gotten lost enough times to know where at least that was. She tried her hardest to ignore the stares she was receiving because she always got stared at when walking around her ballet clothing. Something about it being tight and the bare minimum that seemed to make people awkward. It wasn't as if she was walking around in her underwear or anything. She was just wearing a long sleeved black leotard, nude tights, a sheer black dancing skirt that was tied by a string around her slender waist, with black ballet styled flats. It wasn't anything too exceptional. That and her hair was hanging down around her face. If it had been up in a bun, perhaps they would stare at her more. Maybe they just didn't like ballet here. Regardless, the students here would not last in New York with all of their constant staring.
It didn't take her long to get to the Quad. So many people were rushing through, but her experience back home calmed her nerves a bit. She had never been a big fan of crowds are anything, but Richmond wasn't too bad on that front. As she scanned the area with her eyes, she noticed a familiar looking man over in almost the center of the Quad. A small little smile appeared on her lips when she remembered that he had been so helpful when she had first enrolled here. Sasha and her mother had a meeting with the Director of the Board of Education and it wasn't like she could forget someone as handsome as he was. Then again, Richmond had a lot of handsome and beautiful people. It was ridiculous how beautiful and amazing the students and faculty looked here. At first she had started walking towards the Director, but when she noticed that he seemed to be in a conversation with another man and a student that appeared to be her age, she stopped and waited patiently. It was the polite thing to do -waiting- while the man had his conversation.

It felt like a stake was shoved through his heart. They don't exist? He knew Zeus was suppose to be a pompous, but that much? By standards, Callix guessed, Jesus could be considered a demi-god any how. What blasphemy!
Before Callix could say anything, the god's attention shifted. Another man had called to him, and was now standing with them. Callix was knocked back again. The same powerful force of raw energy came from this man as it had from Zeus. Not as powerful, but still quite overwhelming. A sweet, stickly scent flooded Callix.
Zues's attention was all on the man now. Callix might as well have been an ant. He would have just excused himself and walked away, but the pull from the second man was too strong. Callix couldn't place that tangy smell.
Callix looked around, feeling like he'd been watched. He saw a girl standing a few steps off, watching the three of them loosely. She wasn't a demi-god, so why would she even be interested in the two gods; let alone himself. Maybe she was lost like he'd been.
Um, excuse me, sir,
Callix said quietly. There's a girl over there. I think sh- That scent! It was wine! He remembered it from eighth grade, when he turned the grapes into it. This new god reeked of wine! Which only meant one thing.. Callix forgot all about the girl, all about keeping himself and everyone else like him a secret. You! he yelled, I'm right in front of your face and you're still going to ignore me!? Callix had never felt so angry before, but he didn't know how to stop now. This god was his father, and now after fifteen years the god hadn't bothered to waste a second glance on him. What had his mother seen in him!? Gahhh! Sorry, sir, he said, a little more calmly, to Zeus. Please excuse my outburst; I didn't mean to interrupt you're conversation. He looked over to the girl, wondering what that had looked like to her. He didn't really care. He heard that a demi-god was just struck by lightning for getting on Zeus bad side. Again, not caring right now. At this current time, all Callix cared about was this man to his right. This, god. He looked back at Dionysus, a mix of hurt and anger in his eyes. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

My attention soon drifted off of Zeus Mom and I set my sights on the boy that had run into him earlier. There was something familiar about him.... I knew him from somewhere. I just knew I did. His face looked very familiar--
Oh, so then he yelled at me and said that I was still ignoring him. My eyebrows shot up in an expression that read "do you really know who you're yelling at?" It was also at that moment that his name hit me: Callix Boyd. I had had so much fun with his mother... ha. A devious smirk drew across my face as I continued to look at him. "How could I ignore you, Callix Boyd?" I said, then snorted when I heard his second comment. The apology one. "HA! Conversation? Mom can't hold a decent conversation to last seven seconds without making any sort of bitter comment. See? He isn't even smiling." I looked at Callix while pointing at Zeus Mom, then I reached over to the god king's face, sticking my pointer fingers out so I could try to stab them into the corners of his mouth and turn that frown upside down by pushing the ends up into a fake and dorky smile. That is, if he didn't swat my hands away like the bitter old fart he is.

Evangeline walked down through the courtyard with a sense of pure and utter joy. Finally a safe place for my brother and me, what a wonderful day. She started skipping in heels half way across the large quad until she reached the edge and felt a cold chill run up her spine. She walked with a certain lack of assurance until she reached the source. She saw an angry kid, a few years her junior and two older men with an aura of power. Bloody gods, always trying to mix in with the normal people. She tapped the light-hearted man on the shoulder and said,"Don't mind me, but what the blazes are you doing here?" She looked from right to left at the gods and guessed them to be the perfect duo, Dionysus and Zeus. She turned to the younger one and said,"Are you alright, you look a bit pale and quite flustered. Would you like some help?" She asked him in a sincere manner, hoping that he would say no and she could stay here and watch the whole bloody thing go down.
