Kaleb had nothing better to do but to feel sorry for himself, it was another third relationship down in the shithole and he was back on antidepressents Oh fucking joy. But did he currently give a damn, hell no! All he wanted to do was party get drunk and hopefully find a girl who was willing to spend the night the night with him at his mansion, if you know what I mean. He walked out of the shower and into his bedroom, taking out a few clothes to go to The Kick wanting to get outta here. Kaleb was slowly but surely falling back into the hole he was starting to crawl out of, he was getting back into the habit of sex, drugs and women. After the disappearence of Chicago and being put the case he was working that case night and day then a few weeks later lost his job to the economy crises. Thank you whoever started this another Depression. He finally got on his clothes grabbed his car keys and started towards The Kick, hoping to have a good time. He missed the company of the ladies that was for sure. He remembered how Dodger and he did nothing but Party, Sex and Drugs then Sarafina came along and started to pick up the pieces and showed Dodger there was a better life then that. He parked his car infront of The Kick, nodded to the guard before walking inside he headed straight for the bar and ordered a Bud Light, he looked around to see if there was anyone he knew or a beautiful girl that was worth his time. Tam wasn't really quite sure why she was going to The Kick. It was only the day before yesterday that she'd woken up naked beside her best friend after a night of 'excess', it would have been enough to put even the most committed drunk off the bottle...actually that probably wasn't true, she was pretty sure she greatly enjoyed that night...if she could remember it that was...either way it was still weird, as far she was concerned Semp was still Chicago's and was therefore NOT TO BE TOUCHED, but she'd already gone and bloody done that...which would explain why Tam had wound up in The Kick. I bit of escapism really. She couldn't be sure if she intended to pick up a guy or not, more to squelch the guilt she supposed but still, somehow she found herself resisting the idea. Meaningless flings were starting to get just that tiniest bit boring nowadays.
Either way, her 'charm' had got her drinks in the past and she still intended to use it that night, where it lead from there she wasn't sure. She moved to the bar, looking at the various people dotted round the bar, some of them couples and as had become a theme nowadays she felt the tiniest bout of longing...she shook it off though, turning back, it wasn't long before some bloke had engaged her in a conversation.

Kaleb turned around looking at the dance floor to see if there was a girl worth his time. But sadly for him it looked like there wasn't, it was so strange ever since getting fired from work ever since Chicago's disappearance he hasn't been the same. Everywhere he went there wasn't a girl who seem to satisfy him enough to where she would be in his bed. When he took a drink he couldn't help but think about one girl, the one girl he was so close to having a life with then it took a turn for the worst. Kaleb didn't understand what he did wrong, what did he do wrong? Did he move to fast? He didn't know and he didn't know what to do.
He turned back to the bar leaning against it, he called the bartender "A shot of Vodka. He said, the bartender nodded and poured the whiskey in front of Kaleb, Kaleb took it and drank it putting the shot glass back down on the table, Kaleb shook his head not wanting another one since he had to drive.
He looked around and then he saw someone who was thinking about a few moments ago, she still looked the same since that last day she saw her. Tamara George, she looked absolutely amazing, he knew deep down he cared about her but he knew that his chances of getting back with her where slim to none. She was too good for him that was for sure, well that was what he thought. God, she was so beautiful why did he let her go the first time round? He didn't know but he did miss her. He watched Tam carefully incase anyone decided to go a little overboard.

The longer Tam stood listening to the bloke, the more she decided that, no, she didn't want to be there. She needed to think and the strobe lights, snogging couples and drunken lecherous blokes were not helping in the slightest. She grimaced slightly as the bloke she was talking to leant in to speak, supposedly so that she would hear her better but instead giving her a whole lungful of beer breath as she took an unfortunately timed intake of air.
"Look, I really think you probably need to go home and I need to go so...I'm going to go," She said pleasantly, starting to edge but of course he went and grabbed her, being so drunk and probably a little dim it was difficult to know whether he had something insightful to say or just generally enjoyed grabbing people at random. She scowled before pulling her arm away and stalking off to the bar, not particularly perturbed by the fact he was following her as long as she wasn't blasted by his breath again.
She sat on one of the stools, purposely sitting with her back to him as she took a sip of her drink...that was until she recognised the figure besides her. She paused, her drink poised between the counter and her lips.
Kaleb.
The usual tight knots of guilt that accompanied every sighting of him returned and she couldn't be sure whether she wished to get up and 'subtly' back out of the door or attempt some kind of civility. He seemed to have spotted her though and after staring at him for a bit it was kind of difficult to claim to have not seen him. Plus, she was sitting right next to the guy.
"...Kaleb..." She said somewhat awkwardly after a while, giving a slight nod of acknowledgment.

The moment Kaleb saw the guy grab Tam's arm he couldn't help but feel hostile towards the guy. Tam didn't deserve to be handled like that by anyone, but when he watched Tam walk away a small smile appeared on his face, he remembered how Tam could take care of herself and he was happy that she could. It wasn't long before Tam started to walk over to the bar. He let out a soft sigh as he saw the beautiful blonde sit next to him, she looked very good she looked....amazing. How come he got that feeling everytime he saw her? It was unknown to him but as long things don't get outta hand he was fine with being next to her maybe it would bring them peace and hopefully become friends.
"Hello Tam, how are you? He asked her looking at her, god she was beautiful. He looked forward again taking a sip of his beer, chugging the rest down, "Bartender, another Bud Light please and whatever she wants is on me. He said nodding at Tam, before looking at Tam "You look great." He said with a weak smile on his face.

"I'm good-ish, you?" She said conversationally as her finger skirted the rim of her glass. It wasn't too bad, as far as she remembered Kaleb had never been one for grudges but still, it made her slightly uneasy, mostly in herself. She still thought of him every often, at what she'd thrown away and the other mistakes she'd made since. Kaleb had presented everything anyone could dream yet somehow it wasn't enough.
"Oh, no," She interjected. "I'm good for drinks thanks,"
She may have accepted drink from strangers but old ex boyfriends/fiancés were a different matter. Especially Kaleb, considering everything that had gone wrong had been her fault and she, inevitably, had been the one to give the last under handed blow. She barely liked to think about it.
"Oh...thank you, so do you?" She answered.

Kaleb nodded at the bartender as he placed another Bud Light infront of him, Kaleb was pretty sure he wouldn't finish this one but he needed a drink and the Bud Light was the only kind of beer he liked at this place, "I've been a lot better." Kaleb said to her, before taking a sip from the Bud Light. He couldn't help but feel like an asshole now that she was here, since they last saw eachother a fight erupted when he found out when she was gonna call of the engagement and he swore his heart seem to burst and he never felt the same until Evangeline came along he felt whole again then she left him, cause he could bet money that her dad found out about his past.
"Suit yourself." He said to her with a shrug, before taking another drink from his beer.
He felt sorry for going off on Tam the way he did, infact he felt horrible for it and he had to apologize to her for it just to hope that they could still be friends. He still cared about Tam he would do anything for her, hell, he would even take a bullet for her afterall Kaleb thought that he didn't have a lot left, his best friend got married and now Kaleb was mostly on his own. He looked back at Tam, "I bet I could look a lot better to. He said before looking away again.

Tam just looked at him for a moment, really looked and with it those knots seemed to twist tighter. He looked like crap, possibly as if he hadn't slept in a while either. He hadn't been like that when they'd been together, maybe it was her or maybe it was just him, maybe he was ill...but how could she know that? She hadn't taken the blindest bit of interest since they'd broken up, just absorbed in her own things and her own life, she'd been absolutely crazy about him and then it'd just...fizzled out, she'd thought she'd stopped caring but seeing him there, looking like he did, she decided that yes, she did care.
"You know your problem Kaleb, you fall in love too easily and love can mess you up worse than anything, you just need to learn to slow down after you lose someone," She said simply before getting to her feet and taking his hand.
"You need to enjoy yourself, you're free and crap, you're still young and you'll look back in 20 years time and you'll regret that you wallowed away the time when you were good looking being miserable instead. That doesn't make for good memories, we've graduated, we can try our hands at being different people. Come dance with me," She said with a smile, pulling on his hand encouragingly.

Kaleb knew that he looked like shit he just didn't know how to look better, love was a bitch it was. He was starting to think love was overrated, painful and a complete waste of time, so much for having a bright future huh? If someone pulled a gun to his head he would say "Shoot me" because he was haveing a hard enough time as he was. After taking another sip he heard Tam talking to him.
After what he heard he knew what he did wrong, he fell in love with her too easily and he had to admit he did. After knowing her for a month and a half he porposed to her and look where he got him. First Chicago, who dumped him for Semper after a conflict, then Tam who broke off the engagment for some reason, maybe he wasn't good enough for her then Evangeline the most recent one and now she was gone, probably because her daddy found out his past and he swore after Evangeline vanished he wished he would've died from that gunshot wound. It just seemed the whole world would've been a lot better if Kaleb wasn't around. He took another drink from the Bud Light, before placing the half empty bottle on the bar.
It wasn't before long when he heard Tam talking to him again, maybe she was right but then again who was he to know right from wrong. So far in life he has been making the wrong decisions, and how was he free? He was cursed, he had a broken heart that felt like it could never be fixed again so much for third time being the charm more like more to add to curse.
"Tam I don't dance. He said, then she grabbed his hand and encouraged him, "Oh alright. He said with a small weak smile then followed her to the dance floor.

Tam laughed as she lead him onto the dancefloor.
"You need to enjoy the time you've got, we've only just graduated, we're like what,18? We have the whole of the rest of our lives, there's no need to spend all your time looking for the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you date a few people, you see how it goes then sometimes, you just break it off, that's how it's supposed to go, you can't fall in love with everyone of them just like you can't have fallen in love with me or Chicago, you barely knew either of us, right? You just thought you did and that's the problem, you give too much and move too fast but you're a great guy, she'll come along one day and when she does, you'll know that every one of us were just stumbling blocks. You live and you learn," She teased gently.
"You need to go out there, have some fun, get laid, you don't have to be stupid about or a jerk but we're young, it's what we're supposed to do! We do stupid things sometimes," She laughed.

The things he was hearing coming from Tam's mouth was pretty much impossible, what did she know about love? Did Kaleb cheat on her? No. Did Tam cheat on him? Yes. And who was she to bring up the fact that he fell in love with Chicago too quickly? Tam had no idea how long he has known Chicago. He let deep sigh, of course he knew that they just graduated but hell, what did he have left to live for? Nothing! His best friend just got married and now he knew that he would be too busy to even hang out. Then came the great guy saying, Kaleb was anything but a good guy, Kaleb has killed people, he's been shot at. Jesus, Tam didn't know him at all. Who was she to talk about love? Kaleb couldn't take it anymore.
With a deep aggitated sigh he looked at Tam, before walking off the dancer and to the door of The Kick, going outside as quicky as possible before causing a scene inside with Tam.

Tam watched Kaleb storm out although she couldn't say she was exactly surprised. The truth wasn't always that nice to stomach and in all honesty, she didn't really blame him. She stood for a moment before sighing and following him out, through the increasingly busy crowds of people until she reached the door, pulling it open and letting the cold air slide over her flushed cheeks.
"Do you want an apology then?" She asked as she closed the door behind her, moving to lean beside him against the wall.
"Because I will if you want one, but I won't mean it because it's the truth," She shrugged.
