He hurried into the resteraunt dressed in his waiter outfit he looked pretty darn goofy.. or so he thought but from the time he'd gotten here he'd been given a few winks at and people admired his looks. He would usually blush for most of them where just stopping by or total strangers from the city. He huried through the front and behind the counter disappearing into the back room where his temorary boss on the job sat at his desk, he was busy reading a beauty magazine.. yes a beauty magazine. But he was an older Aphrodite son who'd graduated from Richmond about 5 years ago.
He looked up as Xolek put his clothes into his locker "Your late" he said his voice deep he did a lot of yelling so you couldn't blame him.. "Yeah sorry sir.. I had to uh.. take a ride here" he said, he man gave him a look then nodded "Well you better hurry up.. your shift started.. 7 minutes ago" he frowned at Xolek "Yes.. yes sir I understand that, I'm sorry" he said, he'd gotten off one to many times but the man was pretty easy going. He tied his apron around his waist and hurried off to the front where the bell had rung.
"Table five, section uh.. 4.. 2 people Xolek" the girl at the counter said flashing the piece of paper to him, she handed him some drinks a Pop of some sort and possible he thought beer because of the smell.. he hurried over to give the customers their refreshments. they didn't seem so happy and appeared to be middle aged couple "Sorry for your wait your food will be ready shortly is there anything else you'd like in the meantime?" he asked puling out a small pad and a pencil. They ordered some more food and he hurried off back to the counter "Okay, thanks Xolek the other girl will take it from here she originally served them and took their order but she went on break.. just wait for another customer to come in. He nodded
he took to sitting on the stool at the counter keeping his ears and eyes open to the front for any new customers. he sipped down his Coca Cola and was now fiddling with the ice and straw in the glass cup.

Dream ran a brush through her tangled blonde hair and smiled at herself in the mirror. She had been napping after a long day of practicing for track and now she was practically starving. She tried to decide what she wanted to eat and decided to try some place new. She had never been to the fish place so she decided to go there. She put on an orange tank top and a pair of camp shorts before giving her pets a quick pat and walking out the door. She hopped into her silver bug and drove to the fish place.
When she walked into the place she noticed how it easy very full. Did that mean the food was bad? Dream would eat almost any food but she liked it better if it actually tasted good. She didn't see a sign telling her to wait to be seated so she went towards and empty section and sat at an empty table, propping her feet up on the chair across from her.
The place actually looked pretty nice and the decorations looked realistic. Poseidon kids would love this place considering it seemed really fishy and stuff.

The cook nudged Xolek in the rib-cage "Go and serve the new customer Xolek" he frowned at her "I know, geesh" he said giving her a stern look, she gave the same look back "You Ares kids don't know how to be nice" He said the girl gave him an evil look " Says the Athena boy" He frowned at her. He needed this job however to feel normal even though he had money not to work most teens did. He set his empty cup on the counter and the straw did a turn do to the ice, whipping his hands on his apron he grabbed a new notebook and took out his blue pen, he walked through the crowd of tables, it was fairly loud in the place and he was really trying not to yell at people to shut up. He knew if he did he would be fired.
Finally he made it to where the girl had sat down "Heres your menu.. plenty of er.. fishy things to eat" he said making fun of the place almost but he had to say fishy things when giving the menu to someone he put the notepad in his pocket and looked at her finally, it was Dream. He was waitering for Dream.

Dream couldn't help but laugh. " I think I would be a bit worried if there wasn't anything fishy on the menu" she said. " I didn't know you worked here, Xolek" she said with a smile. She worked at the amusement park most of the time but hadn't been able to work since her stomach surgery.
"I think for a drink I'll have the orange smoothie" she told him with a smile. She hadn't expected to see anyone she knew when she came here and now she would have somebody to talk to. " then you could sit and talk to me if you wanted" she said. If she had someone to talk to it would make her day less boring and then she wouldn't feel lonely.
((FAIL. My next one will be wayyyyyy longer I promise)) |

"Yeah.. I kinda need to say it" he said not looking down again at her but he still grinned. It was funny to say fishy. He raised his eyebrow again and made his face stern a little "Yeah I kinda smell funny afterward it seriously gross being as I'm a vegetarian and all" He said frowning, however this job always gave him an excuse to take a shower afterward and use up some of that nice hot water for 15 minutes or so. He grinned at the thought, then smiled as Dream made her order "Alright Dream, I'm sure I can spend my break now" he didn't bother to jot anything down but he quickly left writing it down anyhow.
When he reached the front desk he slipped eye contact with the girl who was cooking today and slipped her what Dream had ordered, The two only spoke when they had to but other then that they rarely ever spoke to each other usually deciding on pretending the other didn't exist. Xolek slipped behind into the back room and walked over the the guys desk "Yeah.. hey boss can I have my break now?" The guy looked up frowning "Yeah sure, if you'll leave me alone to read my book" Xolek grinned and nodded walikg off to the counter again he took the drink and walked off still not speaking to her.
He placed the drink carefully in front of Dream before sitting down on the empty seat "My boss really lets me do whatever, I kinda pay for some of the expensive here if you know what I mean?" he said grinning, it was kind of weird talking to a friend when he was suppose to be working but it wasn't like he did much other then the odd time, he really didn't need this job and was just a fill in to until someone else who needed it could snatch it.

"You could always come work at the amusement park with me then you wouldnt have to deal with all the gross stuff" Dream said with a small laugh. She pulled her feet off the chair so that when he came back, he would have a place to sit. She let out a sigh as a small jolt of soreness went down her legs as she moved them. Running around the tracks and hurtling for two hours was not a good idea, but she wanted to get back to doing sports, since she had stopped after sha had her surgery.
Dream smiled at Xolek when he sat down. "Yeah I do that a bit for the amusement park. Do very many other demigods work here?" She asked curiously, keeping her voice kind of low as she said the last part so that no one would overhear what she was talking about.

He grinned "If I knew they where still hiring I would've gone for the job.. but eh, it's not like a honestly need a job either way, I have enough money for.. well hell knows how long as long as I use it wisely" he said.. he had money but he didn't want to sound like a stuck up rich boy despite being one.. sorta. He leaned back in the seat looking across the rows of customers, most had received their food already and where happily eating away. He frowned at the girl in the front as she turned to give him a glare, why did she hate him so much? he didn't know.
"Well like any place around here sure.. I mean the only.. other two I know of is the boss who's an Aphrodite son, and the girl at the counter is a daughter of Ares" he spoke in a low voice to making sure nobody heard him for they would give them a dirt look of some sort, but he was sure they'd think he was playing some foolish game. He turned to Dream and smiled "How many demi-gods work at the amusement park.. hey you know I've never stopped by there, I should some day soon" his smile turned into a grin, he wanted to play some of those shooting games or something, but he'd probably be around for awhile being he had school here, and well he was searching for a house to buy.
He wanted a farm just out of the country and if anyone wanted to stay with him, well he'd probably let them so long as they didn't trash the place and bother his horses at night or of course the dog. 'What's your plans when you actually graduate, as considering still until school ends your still a senior" he asked with a smile. He was interested in the lives of others and what they had in store for the future, for unlike him he thought in present terms not the future, but he had to admit sometimes he looked into the past and how his very own father could be so cruel to him while he was living back home with them.

"I just got a job cause I was bored and I really wanted to buy a new car" Dream said with a smile. Her car was probably the ugliest thing ever but yet she still loved to drive it. It was a silver bug. It was a bit on the small side but oh well.
"Oh an Ares kid? Is she mean?" The only Ares kid that Dream knew was Bear and Bear wasnt the nicest person ever. "And Id like to meet your boss, he's probably hot" she said with a laugh. She had a lot of Aphrodite friends and they were all very cute. Dream remembered when she first came to Richmond that she had a huge rush on Sage. "Im not sure how many work at the amusement park, Ive always been to busy to talk to the other workers unless I have to and if you wanted I could get you a pass to get into the Amusement park for free, I have a bunch of them laying around my dorm."
"Well, I kind of want to open a foster home, since I grew up in one. If im not able to do that I will probably just coach a few of the sports at Richmond or go back to Seattle and help my foster parents out." Dream smiled. She had grown up with pretty much all brothers, who she missed. Dream hadnt wanted to leave to come to Richmond. She always visited Seattle a lot and she always hated to leave.

"I'm not one for cars to be honest, I get car sick very easy in my defense, but.. if I did get a car probably a 1987 Chevolet is what I would look for" he said smiling, he'd seen the car a few times, it was a muscle and looked best in a brown to him at least. He wasn't no expert but he'd done his little research on cars.
"Oh yes, she doesn't like me one bit.. gives me that evil eye roll all the time, but you get use to it.. she's not exactly best with people" Xolek said frowning, when Dream talked of his boss he smiled "Oh he's very handsome I must admit for an older guy.. he has a few scars from his past but it doesn't effect his appearance much" he said, his boss made him laugh sometimes and he was tempted to see what kind of things the beauty magazine said in it, he read it all the time and never let anyone look, perhaps he had a page dedicated for him? he didn't know but he would not snoop to find out. "Oh I insist not, I don't like getting things for free, I feel like I'm using other people when I do, but thank you for the kindness" he said smiling.
"Is that so, I was raised by my father and stepmother, my stepmother was pretty nice but my father, was very rude he didn't like me or my half-brother, it's quite a shame really" he began "That is a wise path to follow, your giving back and helping many others. I'm still very unsure of what I want to do. I like the idea of working with children, maybe even become a high-school teacher if I can, it would be a great pleasure" Xolek replied smiling, he enjoyed talking to Dream, for it was easy to talk to her.

Dream knew very very little about cars. If you asked her the year of a car she would probably laugh and then say she didnt know. "You'll probably have to show me a picture sometime, since I honestly know nothing about cars" she admitted.
"She probably just has bad luck with people" dream said thoughtfully. She had met an Ares kid a long time ago who had been super nice and sweet towards her. "I think ill have to come back here sometime just to get a look at him" Dream said with a laugh. She was only kidding, she still had a boyfriend, even if she hadnt seen or heard from him in two months.
"I dont understand why parents end up being mean or rude to their children, it doesnt make any sense to me" She said when he mentioned his father. Dreams foster father had been quiet and had usually read most of the time or helped all the younger kids with their homework. "I think you'd make a good teacher. Your really nice, im sure the kids would think so too" She said with a smile.

"I will keep it in mind then" Xolek said grinning. He had a laptop in his bag in his staff locker but if he went to the back his boss would surely give him heck and make him start working again, that would be rude of Xolek to have to leave Dream, plus everything looked as though it was under control. He nodded when she spoke of the ares girl probably having a hard time with people, he wouldn't be surprised about it, but it was no reason to treat people with such hatred in his books.
"Let it be so, but those who turn their back on their own children will no longer share the many good memories to come" he said not adding that some of the most important times of their children s future lives might be messed up, for example, graduation, or marriage. He frowned at the thought, despite marriage not actually being his likings.
