I slipped my purple sequined swimsuit onto my body and adjusted it so that it fit just right, smoothing out the winkles and smiling with content. Twenty bucks wasn't a bad price at all, and the Richmond pool was opening its doors to day to offer some relief from the rising height index. Not a cloud in sight and rain seemed like such a distant memory to me. I could use a tan...at least there was a positive variable somewhere in this equation. I was going by myself, again because I couldn't think of anyone who might be up at eight in the morning to take a casual swim. The pool was only a few minutes away, so I slipped on my extra-large Richmond Football tee-shirt and a pair of old black flip flops. My toe nails were painted bright pink with white polka-dots, a direct result of my boredom. "See you later, Kitty." I waved a hand towards my sleeping cat who only got up to lay right back down again, following the sun beams.
Taking my claim on a chair closet to the gate, I draped my shirt over the top of the chair and slid off my shoes. Although getting completely soaked wasn't on my agenda, I figured I could dangle my feet in the cool water and soak up the golden sun.
