  Sitting at the beach, her bare toes in the sand and her teddy bear Felix sitting next to her as they watched the tide role in was nothing new for Sutton. Her mother was off at work or school or somewhere again and her nanny had forgotten to pick her up from daycare. So when the clock hit three and Johnny's mom came to pick him up Sutton had snuck out the door after them. She'd dragged Felix by the arm through the dirt and grime of town until she'd reached the beach.
This was her spot...their spot, her's and Felix's. She sat there in silence, watching the sun go down. Sutton knew she wasn't suppose to be here...she knew she should be home and her nanny was probably frantically looking for her. She knew that as soon as her mother realized she was gone all hell would break loose. But for now this was time with Felix.
She picked up the ragged old bear and hugged him tightly to her chest. He was the only thing she had of her Daddy's, he had given Felix to her the one time she saw him when she was two. She never went anywhere without Felix. |

Baker needed some time off from that crazy school. Even though he wasnt teaching, it was loud and it hurt his ears. At this exact moment, the beach sounded just perfect. He smiled as he watched the tide roll in the people happily play in the water. He reconized a few, they were students. He looked up at waterfront estates. He wished he could of lived there instead of the teacher dorms, the beds hurt his back. He sighed at the thought of his dead wife. Suddenly he saw a little girl, about five. As cute as a button ( Sutton, Button xD). She had chest length brown hair, chocolate brown eyes and a face that looked like she was waiting for someone. He decided to walk up to her. "Are you lost, sweety?". He asked the little girl.

Sutton was not only holding Felix to her chest but also talking to him softly about how the waves looked on the sand, she smiled to herslef knowning that Felix knew exactly what she was saying. She liked that he was silent, it meant he was always listening to her..no one else ever did.
When she heard the voice behind her she turned to look up at the man, "No" Sutton answered in a very matter of fact tone. She knew exactly where she was so she couldn't be lost. She hugged Felix tighter to her chest, "Are you lost?" Sutton knew the beach like the back of her hand, maybe she could help him if he was lost. |

Baker stood still and waited for the reply from the little girl. He sat down becuase it was very uncomfurtable standing like he was. The girl then said something, "No, are you lost" Baker burst out laughing. It was hilarious! Are you lost? Thats really funny. Baker had a deep laugh. It boomed, like Zues's laugh. Although he was the son of Athena he thought it would be awesome to be the son of Zues. He finally stopped laughing when a tear ran down his face. He smiled and looked at the the girl that had a "What-is-this-dudes-probelm" look on her. He stared into her pretty brown eyes. She was a cute little girl. "Wheres your mommy or daddy?" He asked. He patted her back adn waited for a repy. |
