Tree's flew at her, as the pale glow of the moon was the only thing that lead her threw the darkness, lead her deeper into the forest. Her heart was pounding loud enough she thought she would shatter from it's force, it was going too knock her over and the dark would take her out, "Hunter!" her voice let out a pitiful yell for her brother, tears brimmed her eyes, she was ready too cry, too curl up in the dirt and fall to pieces waiting for him too find her, for him too bring Riah, so she could be okay again, but every time she turned she could see farther away and she was still alone. Alone in the dark of the woods, "Hunter!" her voice screamed as loudly and high as she could, shaking, her mind was shutting down and she felt like she was drowning,as her body began too run and trees rushed past her, she needed too find her way out of the dark, out of the dark she chanted over and over, like somehow the words would manifest their own light too set her free.
"Ash, Ashh, Ashlynn!" Riah's voice broke threw the daze, her eyes opening though she'd never known that they'd been closed. Her eyes swallowed up the light where ever she was now, she couldn't see anything but she could see the light, and her heart stopped racing as she gasped and filled her lungs with air. She wasn't drowning, her eyes blinked before they adjusted too all the light, Riah had flipped on the room's light and lamp, "Riah," her name fell out of her mouth, her eyes found her sisters, Riah was silent in return shaking her head and pulling her in for a hug. Riah stroked a hand threw Ashlynn's hair and kissed the top of her head, another nightmare had chased her from her dreams. "I'm sorry," Riah's whispered into her hair, before getting up and going back too her bed. Riah broke her body away from Ashlynn's iron grip, she hadn't realized how hard she'd been holding her sister, swallowing she looked at her and blushed hoping there wouldn't be bruising tomorrow. Riah said nothing though, as she crawled back into her bed and threw the covers over her head, so Ashlynn could get dressed. She did so quickly, it was two am, everyone should have been asleep, but there was no way that would happen again for Ashlynn.
Once dressed she threw open the window and threw herself out, without hesitating, as Riah got up and turned out the light. She found herself outside, surrounding by the very things she was afraid of, emotions and darkness. Some daughter of Nyx she was, scared of the dark like a small child she swallowed in her breath, to quiet a scream, there was no light anywhere. The moon offered little light. The Quad wasn't far, an odd place for someone too want to be this late at night, but she ran there, at least there no one would find her. Once she was there, she found a plot of land and laid down on the cold wet ground her eyes looking up at the stars, trying to count the infinite little lights too tell herself it wasn't so dark. "The great kings of the past are up there," she quoted the Lion king trying to further her comfort.
Notes: A bit of a rough first post but it's something. Ashlynn's afraid of the dark, if you couldn't tell >< I hope someone actually takes this.

Tam lay on her back, listening to the slow even sound of her roomate's breath before giving an irritated growl and snatching her ipod off her bedside table, slipping the earphones out and into place before turning it on. She lay there for a further half an hour or so before letting out a string of curses and pushing back the covers.
It was probably due to jet lag, 2 weeks hadn't really been long enough to go home though she was somehow rather...pleased to be back. Sure, her friends had all been there, her dad had even been around for a few days and her stepmother had gone to town on the whole nagging front but...she was used to Richmond now.
She quietly picked her way across the room, kicking the various things blocking her path out of the way before moving throwing on her jumper and heading out, not particularly bothered by her apparent lack of shoes. She didn't really want to wake up her roomates, just in case. They'd already had to put up with the foul mood she'd been in since she'd broken off the engagement...she didn't quite know why but she'd been a bit...off ever since, she was glad not to feel...obliged to be with someone anymore but he'd still probably been the most decent bloke she'd ever dated...or probably ever would.
Humming quietly to herself, she found her feet making their own way, eventually winding up in the quad. The moon was pretty large tonight, the stars mapping out across the sky as she padded forward. She was just making her way towards the large tree she usually enjoyed sitting when she went...well...head over heels over something...or someone rather.
"Bloody fucking hell!" She cried as she pulled herself up into a sitting position, looking round at the thing.
"Shouldn't you be wearing neon lights or something?! It's dark!" She snapped as she made out the figure.

Her hands searched greedily for something to throw on so she could leave quickly and stop bothering her sister, but their clothes were all mixed up. As much as Ashlynn loved her sister, the same floral dress that Riah wore flawlessly didn't match her at all, she wasn't okay unless she was in pants, and she wanted to cover up for the cold night, but none of that mattered once she was out of the room. The shoes beneath her feet were comfortable but laying there on the ground the cold spread over her, and she found herself resisting the urge too shiver, maybe she should have staid in her room, she bit her lip thinking intensely. She didn't notice Tam coming towards her until the girl had tripped, a blush flooded her cheeks as she scooted away from the other girl quickly as she could. Sorry! the word burst from her lips before she looked over Tam. Before her mind caught up with her and told her too be rude back, Maybe you should watch where you're walking in the dark! she replied bitterly keeping it off of her face that it twisted her insides too talk mean too someone but she didn't know how else too react too people.

Tam blew a few strands of hair out of her face.
"It's fine," She replied somewhat grudgingly, brushing herself off despite the fact that her heart was still pounding from the fright. She simply raised an eyebrow at the girls snappy retort before speaking.
"Or maybe I shouldn't at all," She breathed, she wasn't a particular fan of walking round in the dark but apparently this was becoming a more regular occurrence so she might as well get used to it.
"So let's start with some manners then, I'm Tam...what the hell are you doing out here at this time of night?" She said pleasantly.
