Kaleb was done being sober, he walked over to the kitchen walked over to the freezer taking out a bottle of Vodka, opening it and taking a gulp of it, within a minute that bottle was gone, so he took out another one, chugged it down then got another. He was started to get that warm fuzzy feeling from drinking the two Vodka bottles, and you want to know the best part there was nobody here to stop him. So he was gonna have a private party, and who's invited nobody, he walked into his living dancing around. It's wasn't long before he started talking to Semper and Sarafina, he was getting bored and fast. He left for a few minutes and found a Jack Daniels he mixed it with his Vodka and he liked it.
It wasn't before long he was walking around drunk in his house, the music blaring loudly, he chugged the Jack down and started to drink his Vodka again. He stumbled around his house and for some reason he was getting angry, he was getting angry at his balance and it wouldn't be long before he blew. [/blockquote]

So at first, when I was talking to Kaleb, he was fine. I then left to go take care of Bell and Gatsby and go to the fire department, logged back on, and the bastard was as drunk as a dog. I told him that he needed to stop drinking, but no, don't listen to the one person who knows this from experience. I also had started talking to Sassifrass and she said to not enter Kaleb's house until Dodge got there, so I did as I was told and was now waiting outside of Kaleb's house.
I was leaning against my truck, waiting for Dodge to show up. I highly doubted that I would need my shotgun that was under the seat in the cab, but if I did need it, I had plenty of buck shots to go around. Tonight was also my night shift at the fire department, but as soon as I found out that the bastard was a slobbering drunk, I left the station and came to his house. The music was pounding inside the house, and as I watched the windows, I could see Kaleb passing behind the glass every now and then. My right eye was already completely covered in a white cataract again, but that didn't mean that I still couldn't see. I still had one visible pupil that could see good. I didn't need both eyes to teach some unlucky rich boy that alcohol could screw your life over twenty-fold.
"Dammit, Dodge, where're y'?" I muttered, glancing back at the street as I crossed my arms across my chest, still leaning back against the truck.

Instead of watching Despicable Me with Sassifrass as he had originally planned for this evening, he was driving to Kaleb's house. Kaleb and alcohol was never a good idea, and once he became a rambling dumbass who deserved a good slap in the face. And if he didn't stop blowing up Dodger's chat, he was going to get what he was asking for. He insisted that Sassifrass stay in her dorm, for the obvious reasons and that he would much rather be at home than around Kaleb. Normally, he trusted his best friend around Sassifrass but tonight was an entirely different story. "That's it, I'm going to slap the shit out of him." He took a deep breath with his face resting against the steering wheel, slowly gaining the motivation to slip the key into the ignition and start the engine. There was an urgency in Semper's messages that told him to get there fast, because the last thing anyone wanted was to pick up the pieces of a night gone miserably wrong. On that note, Dodger reached for the seat belt and clipped it over his shoulder because if him or Kaleb was going to have any common sense tonight, it might as well be him.
"Semp...I'm sorry I took so long."
God please help him, because if Dodger had any say in this he would be dragging Kaleb outside and smacking him around until he sobered up. Dodger was a nonchalant kind of person, nothing really pissed him off enough to make him want to hit something...unless you were blabbering drunk and you started talking about his friends or Sassifrass. That was when you could expect some issues, and Kaleb had crossed both lines.

Kaleb continued to drink the Vodka with a care in the world, he didn't care if someone called him to turn down his music it was his house and he could do whatever he wanted. After checking his Facebook in his drucken manner he got threats from both Semper and Dodger saying that they were coming to give him a slap on the face but he was too drunk to believe their words. After finishing the current Vodka he tossed it on the floor he was actually surprised it didn't break, he walked over to the freezer stumbling every now and then before opening another one. Kale was so drunk he had no idea what he was doing or what saying but he was enjoying himself and this was the first time in a long he was enjoying himself. Little did he know that Dodger and Semper were right outside in his front yard and getting ready to crash his private party.

I just stood there, texting Kaleb for what seemed like hours, once again realizing why I didn't like the guy. It felt weird just standing out there, leaning against the truck and texting him when I could see him pass back and forth behind windows. Damn. Now I know what it's like to be the sober one around a drunk. No wonder people tried to get me to quit for so long.
I was really starting to get pissed at Kaleb, especially when he started talking about my sister. Originally I had told him that she would be coming, but after he started getting all bitchy and yelling, I figured that it'd be a lot better for her to just stay in her dorm. I already made it perfectly clear to Kaleb that if he hurt my sister or nephew, I would personally slaughter him for real this time. I had plenty of shells to use.
As soon as Kaleb ended the conversation, I felt like he was going to go do something stupid now that I wasn't there trying to keep the conversation going about stupid things. I put my phone back into my pocket and waited, but it didn't take Dodge long to get to Kaleb's house.
"S'alright," I told him, pushing off of the truck. "I got no idea what the hell he's doin' now, but it's prob'ly nothin' good."

"I'm staring to wonder why I put up with him in the first place." Oh, that's right. Because somebody had to keep that dumb ass out of trouble when he was too damn lazy to do it himself. Dodger had plenty of other things to worry himself with, and he'd much rather enjoy some time with Sassifrass than standing in Kaleb's driveway. Maybe the thing that pushed him off the edge the most was Kaleb's refusal to leave the past behind, and quit taunting Dodger about refusing to "join in on the fun" and knock back a few drinks. If Kaleb knew what was good for him, he would shut his mouth and keep it shut before Dodger and Semper unleashed the fury on him. At least that just might sober him up just a little. He took a deep breath and leaned against the car, looking over at Semper with a sigh. "I owe you one for coming out...to be completely honest with you I didn't even want to come. I'm tired of picking up after him." And Kaleb wondered why he never let Sassifrass around him anymore. Once you have something good, you would do everything in your power to keep it safe. Sassifrass and Ravi were his future now, and Kaleb knew better than to bring them into this argument.
"I guess we should go in before he hurts himself." And if he was stupid to throw a punch at either of them, he would be in for it.

This was one of the times when Kaleb was really enjoying himself, just like the good old days, all he was missing is the drugs and girls. This was the only thing that made Kaleb feel better unlike pretty boy Dodger, he didn't have a wife who was who knows how many months pregnent with his kid, he didn't have a girl at all. The first girl he met in his life was Chicago, she was amazingly beautiful, but she left him after a confrontation with Semper and Sage, then came Tam, the one who took him for granted, deep down he still cared about the cheating blonde, but right now he didn't give a rats ass about her, then came Evangeline, the dark haired girl who made him feel wanted and loved, but then she vanished and Kaleb blamed himself for that cause her daddy probably found out about his past.
Kaleb didn't have anything left to hold on to, he didn't have family like Semper, he didn't have that certain someone like Dodger had. Infact now that he thought about, life seemed a lot better before Ms. Goody Two Shoes came along and met Dodger back in Dallas, Texas. Back then all the two cared about was partying, and girls, and mostly drugs, then that blonde had to come and ruined everything.
Kaleb took a large gulp of the Vodka bottle before heaving it against the wall shattering into a million pieces it was then he heard the door opening he slowly turned around keeping his balance suprisingly, before turning off and going into the kitchen grabbing another Vodka bottle and starting to drink it.

I wanted to say something along the lines of "Yeah, how the hell did you end up friends with Kaleb?" but I didn't want to get Dodge in a fit too. I needed to stay on his good side, especially since he was now my brother-in-law.
Okay, whoa, hold up. Dodger is my brother-in-law. How the hell did that happen? Oh yeah, my sister got married. Wow. Now that that realization is over....
I looked down at Dodge when he said he owed me one. I shook my head. "Naw, y' don't owe nothin'." I told him. "I didn't particularly want t' come out either, but Sass insisted, so I pretty much had t'." And as much as I hated to admit it, I secretly hoped that Kaleb would attack or retaliate so I could go after him again like I did last time. Just had to make sure that he started it and not me, so that way I could hopefully get away with it. However, if that happened and I tried talking some sense into him, but if he wouldn't listen to me when we were messaging back and forth, what made me think that he would listen if I had my hands around his throat again?
Sighing, I headed up the stairs and to the front door, opening it and ducking inside. The music was so loud that I couldn't hear myself think, so that needed to be taken care of. I searched the rooms as good as my half-blindness would allow before finding the stereo and turning it off, leaving a loud ringing in my ears as they adjusted to the silence. Heading back to where Dodge was, I looked around again. "Where the hell is he?"

Wait, why do I put up with his shit? Well, from the outside the answer seemed obvious and maybe most people would just shake their heads at him and question his sanity more than they already did. He felt sorry for Kaleb...and took it upon himself to look after him and keep him out of the trouble that had thrown him into sticky situations in the past. His present wasn't looking too bright either, if he kept up this crap that was pissing Dodger off more than Kaleb even realized. If Kaleb wasn't going to come to his senses on his own, then he was going to need a little persuasion even if he didn't want any. That wasn't an option anymore, nobody wanted to see him or hear about him hurting himself or someone else because nobody was there to stop him. That was why even after all these years, Kaleb still could call Dodger his friend.
The silence in the house was even louder than the music that was blaring on the stereo. "I don't know but it's too....quiet." That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't exactly a good sign either. As much of a pain in the ass Kaleb was being right now, the last thing he wanted to do was to pick up a bloody mess because he was too wasted to stand up straight. After looking around the living room for a few minutes and hearing or seeing nothing, he decided perhaps calling out to Kaleb just might work. "You pain in the ass...don't you ever get tired of this?" Of course not, which is exactly why Kaleb kept doing it. If he wanted to go down in flames, then by all means that was what he would get.

Kaleb was drinking the Vodka peacefully, that was until he heard the sound of someone turning off his music, What the hell? he thought to himself before slowly standing up and stumbly walking into the front room where the sound system was at. It was then he say misfit Semper, and pretty boy Dodger. Huh, sure they would come and crash his party. Who invited them? Even though he was drunk, Kaleb remembered telling Semper wasn't invited and Dodger, pfft. Kaleb new that Dodger had better things to do then came to save his ass, even though Kaleb had done that plenty of times before, Miss. Sarafina Scot Moore came along and brought Dodger back to life piece by piece, and showed him there's more to life then drinking and getting hungover.
Kaleb leaned against the wood-frame, to keep himself from falling "Well well well, isn't it Sempur and Dodger, I remembering telling you two to leave me the hell alone. But being the two wannabe hard asses you are, can't take a hint. You came and checked on me, now, get your asses outta my house. I had a feeling Sarafina would send you two, the damn bitc....excuse me young knocked up women can't worry about herself. Then again she never did, she just had to come in and ruin our lives, didn't she Dodger? Oh and Semper, I'm pretty sure you think life would be a lot better if you didn't have her as a little sister, huh? Kaleb said, his words slightly slurred before taking another drink of the Vodka.

As I stood by Dodge, I couldn't help but agree that it was awfully quiet for having some drop-dead drunk around. Usually when I was drunk, from what I can actually remember, I was usually falling all over the place, though maybe that was because I was also nearly a foot taller than Kaleb.
Kaleb appeared a few moments later, leaning against the door frame. Yeah, he was really drunk. When he started talking, I narrowed my eyes onto him. "Bastard, don't talk 'bout m' sister that way." I shot back hotly, already pissed at this idiot. "Where the hell're y' comin' up with this shit? 'course I like m' sister. Yer jus' drunk, y' bastard." I wanted to just go up and slug the guy across the face, but I doubted that would turn out well since Dodge was right there. I was, however, waiting for the perfect opportunity to snap at him again or go up and snatch that vodka bottle from his hand and hit him on the head with it. Idiot. I told him we were coming, but did he listen? Nooo. Pft, I doubted he would listen to me anyway. To him, I bet you I'm just the angsty giant that happened to lose his fiancee that had been his ex. Gah, I don't like him... really don't...

"If I had a dollar for every time I wanted to bitch slap you..." There was no reason to finish that sentence, because he'd be freaking millionaire if someone literally threw a dollar at him for every time he felt like landing one on Kaleb's face. As he rambled on and on about stupid shit that wasn't worth their time, he blinked at Kaleb and waited patiently for him to finish. Or at least, as patiently as he knew how to. You could throw any insult at Dodger and he'd be perfectly mine at it...but talking smack on Sassifrass was not okay. "This shit has GOT to stop." And by shit, he was talking about the unnecessary drinking because he was bored and had nothing better to do with his time. Maybe if he cleaned up his act and ditched the alcohol he'd have a fighting chance at saving the friendships he was holding onto with a thread. He raised an eyebrow as Kaleb started to take another drink, which wasn't going to fly with the rescue squad in the room. "I don't think so." Before Kaleb had the time to realize what happened, Dodger snatched the glass from him and set it down on the coffee table. I dare you to go for it again. He raised an eyebrow at Kaleb, seriously doubting he would be able to hold himself up enough to make a run for the drink.
I had a feeling Sarafina would send you two, the damn bitc... Was Kaleb brain damaged enough to call Sassifrass a bitch in Semper and Dodger's presence? Well yes actually, yes he was. Walking over the coffee table with a look of determination in his eyes to kick some ass, he leaned down and picked Kaleb up by the collar of his shirt. "Don't you think we get sick of looking after your sorry ass?"

Kaleb was simply ignoring every single word that was coming out their mouths, Kaleb was enjoying himself and these two assholes had to come and crash his private party. Dammit, why couldn't Sarafina mind who own damn buisness was the girl thinking that she was a savior or something? Jesus, i'm enjoying myself. He thought to himself. When he was about to take another drink from the Vodka bottle, Dodger grabbed it and placed it on the coffee table. Kaleb glared at Dodger, "What the hell?!" He yelled at Dodger.
After a few more seconds of leaning against the doorframe, Kaleb found himself on the floor, he couldn't even stand after all the Vodka and Jack Daniels he had. In a blink of an eye he felt someone pulling on the collar of his shirt, he heard Dodger's voice "Don't act like you've haven't been in this state before Dodger, you were just like this before Sarafina came along. Stealing your dad's alcohol like no tomorrow and drinking it until you passed out. You....You have no right to criticise me....You were a lot more fun before she came along that's for sure. He told Dodger, glaring at him. Usually Kaleb was the guy you would love to hang out with, even when he was drunk but the way he was acting a fight would probably start sooner or later.

Yeah, that's right, I called you a bitch. Even if I didn't say it out loud...it felt damn good to say it. Kaleb could throw a fit all he wanted, but he had enough of that vodka and he wasn't going to have any more of it. He was starting to feel more like his mother with every minute he stood there, shaking his head at his moron of a friend. He could yell and flop around to his heart's content, but that wasn't going to change anything. "Sorry, no more drinks for you. Don't come crying to me when you're puking your guts out tomorrow, you'll be on your own." Dodger was done wasting his time on this idiot...unless by some slim chance he would be willing to snap himself out of this drunken haze. As he looked around the house, all he could think about was how badly he wanted to clean the mess up...but told himself he wasn't going to do it anymore. He was throwing in the towel and hoping Kaleb could keep his head above the water.
Bringing up the past felt like slapping a bruise, and he didn't like it at all. "You don't have to tell me what I did. But you know what makes me different from you? I grew the hell up and started to take care of myself." If ditching the booze made him "less cool" then by all means, he was just going have to live with being a little less cool than what Kaleb perceived him to be. "You looked after me, and now I'm looking after you. But I'm not always going to be here to help your drunk ass."

Well, this was surely going nowhere. Kaleb wouldn't listen to me, so I was obviously of no help. I stood there quietly, watching the idiot called Kaleb loaf around and yell at Dodger, who in return yelled right back, owning just about everything Kaleb threw at him. Fucking Kaleb. I would've done off with him a long time ago if Tam hadn't stopped me. But then Chicago would've been mad as hell at me.... sheesh, yeah, that wouldn't have ended well.
So I stood there, waiting and watching. Dodge was right. Kaleb really did need to get a grip on himself and mature a good bit. Life's a bitch -- no need to tell me that -- but moping around isn't going to do anyone good. I really should take my own advice... anyway. I crossed my arms over my chest and waited.
((Okay, this is extremely overdue. >.> Tis short, but Semp isn't really doing anything. :/ xD ))
