History:
Jayden was born and raised in Miami Florida where her mother was a successful lawyer. Alice, her mother, chose to tell her at a very early age that she was special, different from most children. She could run circles around the other children at the play grounds and her mother had to keep a close eye on her to make sure she didn't come home with any toys that weren't hers. When Jayden turned ten her mother married a real-estate agent. Jayden never respected her step-father, after all how do you measure up to a god? Shortly after they were married they had Rebecca, Jayden's half sister. The family functioned well, or as best they could with Jayden's attitude. Jayden finally made the choice to come here, knowing that it would be some relief to her mother and would surround her with those like her.

The power surged through her body, she could feel every muscle begin to tighten preparing to explode. Her breathing was steady, and she took in one last deep breath releasing it slowly, hearing nothing but her own heartbeat. Silence. And then the sharp bang of the start gun split the silence and the world picked up speed. Jayden was first off the blocks, as usual. She took an early lead as she raced around the track, staying steady in her lane. She knew there was a crowd, a full stand of screaming people, cheering on their friends, children, or classmates; but she didn't hear them. She focused on the sound of the wind whipping past her ears and the quick thuds as her feet found the track. Out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of a bright red jersey just passing her. 'Oh no you don't.' She pushed herself to a whole new gear, pressing forward and passing the girl who had managed to catch up. She flew past the girl and across the finish line running a few more yards before she could slow down enough to stop. Her breathing was heavy, her forehead sticky with sweat, she could feel the rapid beats of her heart. She turned to the girl who had nearly beaten her. She took a deep breath, enough to steady herself. "Better luck next time." She flashed the girl a sarcastic smile before turning to her coach, who was overly excited at the opposite end of the track.
