[/center]Hey! I go by Ruben. I am sixteen and I'm loving it. I have been roleplaying for seven years and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I have no other characters on this site and I think they're pretty amazing! If you want to contact me you can by waysofcontact.
Name: Ruben Solomon Gates
Nickname: None
Age: sixteen
Gender: male
Sexuality: straight
Playby: Quinton Aaron
Member Group: Demigod sophomore, son of Hephaestus
Appearance: To be completely fair, Ruben is a big African American guy. He easily fills up a doorway, standing at 6 feet and 4 inches tall. He’s also not the lightest person in the world, weighing in at 295 pounds. Even with his enormous size, he’s not overweight, just fairly large all over, with thick legs and arms. Even though he looks like monster in size, he rarely looks like he could harm a fly. He has a calm face and rarely frowns.
Personality: Ruben is the personification of the term “gentle giant”. He’s hardly the one who would fly into a rage or have anything less than a calm, nice, and polite attitude with anyone. He’s not a talker, so he’s not the one to usually start conversations, but he’s not in the least awkward, as he can carry on a conversation like anyone else. One could say he’s more of a listener though. He rarely acts without thinking something over. Ruben is a very loyal friend and easily gets used to everyone, no matter what their personality is like. If you can win his trust and friendship, you have a very good and powerful ally on your side, because even though Ruben rarely gets confrontational, he is very protective and won’t hesitate to try and end a conflict, as he doesn’t like arguments or fighting.
Likes: Food, people, animals of any kind, fixing broken things, cooking food, girls(like any other guy), and sports
Dislikes: Mean people, destructive people, loud music, math, adult cartoons, and bad sitcoms
Mother: Robin Gates, 54, Homeworker
Father: Hephaestus, Immortal, God of Technology
Siblings: None
Pets: 4 dogs, Buster, Mike, Spike, and Ginger, 2 cats, Pippa and Salem, and a grass snake named Sceptile
History: Ruben was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Robin Gates, a simple female mechanic, one day in November. No one in her family knew who was the father and Robin refused to tell them. She raised her son by herself with the help of her average family. She could tell right away that he was very good and building things, as she bought him lots of building blocks and every day he made some sort of amazing structure with them, from miniature skyscrapers to bridges and as he got older and she bought him more complex building blocks, he made complex machines and vehicles and structures that she couldn’t believe. One thing that Robin hadn’t expected was how big her son would grow, bigger than anyone else in her immediate family. He practically dwarfed her in comparison. One day, Robin decided that maybe, just maybe, she would start dating again, realizing that her little boy was far from little anymore and once he left, she’d be by herself. Ruben behind her all the way, wanting his mother to have a special someone in her life. Sadly, the wrong man found his way into their lives. His name was Jordan and he was abusive and no matter how hard Robin fought, she couldn’t escape him. It got so bad that she moved them all the way to California to escape him and his gang, who wanted her son among their numbers. Jordan, who was scum but very persistent, followed them to the other side of the country. In one last attempt to take Robin as one of his many girlfriends, he broke into their house and held Ruben at gunpoint, threatening to kill him if she didn’t come with him. Robin of course said she would leave with him, but once he had her outside, he shot at Ruben. However, Ruben’s long absent, but ever watching father saved him. Hephaestus himself sent down a magic shield that protected his son and blocked the bullet. Ruben, unharmed, charged outside and knocked the gun from Jordan’s hand and after very brief fight in which Ruben had the man pinned on the hood of his car, the police arrived and arrested Jordan. After the disaster was averted, Hephaestus and Robin sat down with their son and decided it would be good for Ruben to go to a special school to learn more about himself and get a good education at the same time.

Ezio stood high above Rome, watching all of his apprentice assassins and allies closely. He was not busy today, so he did what he did when he wasn't busy. He watched. But not five seconds after he was already sitting on the edge of a rather tall cathedral, a priest walked up behind him. He turned and looked at the priest, spotting the mark that signified that this man was one of this undercover bretheren. "My lord Auditore...A strange man has been spotted in the streets of Rome. We believe he is one of the Outworlders, as he has been seen multiple times already." With a heavy sigh, Ezio nodded to the man, who bowed and turned to go back to his secret life. So now was his chance to see one of these strange characters for himself.
Standing up, Ezio ran to the nearest and highest point of the cathedral, peering down at the city. He quickly spotted the Outworlder with his Eagle Sense, along with one of his fellow assassins closing in fast on the brightly colored man. To Ezio's surprise, the man easily threw him. He frowned. Now not only was his world being invaded, but they apparently meant his order harm. But then, to his further surprise, this outsider defeated the guards intent on capturing them both...And the assassin left, after giving him a respectful bow.
Ezio immediately jumped, aiming expertly for a haycart below. He landed softly, drawing no attention to those around him. He calmly emerged from the cart and started blending into the crowd, bowing his head as he walked along with a group of happy young men. As he neared the new Outworlder, he slipped out of the crowd and looked at the man calmly.
"You my friend, are a warrior. I can tell. But you do not belong here. My brothers and I grow tired of people such as you...aliens, just walking around. I need to know now...Are you an ally to me, or my enemy..." Clenching his fists, his hidden blades slide cleanly out, gleaming in the sun. "Because, if you are my enemy, I will be forced to kill you. And I will not be so easily beaten like the amateur you just encountered. If you are ally...Well, I'll be forced to make you explain your purpose and intent on coming here...as well as anything else you know..." He spoke clearly, making sure his point came across. This man...this...soldier, had better explain things to Ezio, before he became impatient.
