[/center]Hey! I go by Arcade. I am twenty-two and I'm loving it. I have been roleplaying for twelve years and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I also have Chase Finley on this site and I think he's pretty amazing! If you want to contact me you can by shoot me a message on here.
Name: Dylan Ajax Murphy
Nickname: Dyl, Murphy
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Member Group: Demigod, Sophomore, Son of Poseidon
Appearance: Dylan is average height for his age, coming in at around 5'9. He's fairly skinny for his age, to the point of being scrawny, though not for a lack of trying to bulk up. He eats large quantities of food at every meal, though never seems to be able to burn it off. His eyes change colors anywhere from a misty green, to a calm blue, to a dangerous navy, to a stormy grey, while his lids look perpetually heavy. His hair is dark brown, near black, and wildly curly. He's tried to wear it short before, but it just doesn't suit him. His teeth are crooked in some spots, and though not yellow, they aren't pearly white either. His ears stick out slightly, another reason why he chooses to wear his hair longer.
His clothing style is all over the place, sometimes wearing a basic T-shirt, occasionally with a button up shirt over it, or sometimes going nice and wearing a sweater, or a vest. He prefers blue jeans over all bottom attire, but he has been known to wear slacks of khakis if he absolutely has to.
Personality: Dylan is unpredictable. Overall, he's a generally cheerful and friendly person, and quite laid back. He's the type who'll definitely make the first move, whether in a friendly or romantic sort of way. Once the initial contact is made, he tends to just see where it goes.
Sometimes, however, he gets upset for no reason, and begins to take his aggression out on whatever non-living thing is closest to him. He's embarrassed of this and has kept it a secret for years. He's never injured another person during one of his episodes, but he's always afraid that he might, so he tends to run disappear for seemingly no reason in the middle of conversations. Because of this, he tends to come off as rude to some people, but he tries to make it up to the person as soon as possible.
He can be a charmer, but he refrains from starting up anything with a girl unless he simply can't resist, as he's learned that he can be quite fickle and hates to break a lady's heart.
As far as schooling goes, he's very middle ground when it comes to his studies. He doesn't particularly care about most of his subjects, though he tries to get B's and C's for his mom and stepdad.

History: Elizabeth Murphy was only twenty-two years old when she struck up a romance with the God of the Sea. She had just graduated college with a degrees in business and early childhood education when she decided to go backpacking through Europe for one summer before going off to join the workforce. She started her trip in Greece, where she met "Nero," a sailor. She fell in love with him instantly, and he with her. They spent the summer together, and while she knew there was something different about him, she couldn't quite put her finger on it. He had explained that they couldn't be together forever, and she was quite willing to accept it. On their last day together, he revealed who he truly was, leaving Elizabeth quite awestruck. When she returned home, she soon found out that she was pregnant. She felt that she was too young to have a child, but she couldn't bear to not keep her only memento of the summer she spent with a god.
Dylan grew to be a strong child, despite his appearance. He enjoyed bath time far more than most children, and learned to swim faster than all the other children. Elizabeth was unsure whether or not she should tell her son of his parentage, but decided against it. When Dylan was five years old, Elizabeth met Derek Staunton, and they began to date. Shortly after, they got married, and shortly after that, Dylan's half-sister Vanessa was born. Dylan was eight years older than his sister, and felt very protective of her as she got older.
One day, when Dylan was thirteen, Elizabeth got a package in the mail containing a brochure to Richmond High, a note with "It's time to tell him" scrawled in a beautiful green script handwriting, and a shell in the shape of a heart. She knew immediately who it had come from, and sat Dylan down to explain who his father was. She didn't even have to tell him twice, as he had always felt that he was different, special, and this proved it. Shortly after, he was enrolled in Richmond High and attending it with pride.

Roleplay Post
It was going to be one of those days. Dylan sighed, looking out over the empty swimming pool, wanting desperately to just get in the water and float for a while. However, it didn't look like it was going to happen, as the leader of his group project in science glass had texted him demanding that the group meet now, and there would be no excuses, lest he decide to tell the teacher that Dylan wasn't pulling his weight and get him a failing grade.
It wasn't as though he disliked science, though he wasn't particularly fond of his group leader at the moment, it was that he felt like there were so many better things to be doing. He could swimming, like he so desperately wanted to do at the moment, or working on his slapshot in the hockey rink, or riding on Seafoam, his favorite horse down at the stables. What good was understanding molecular composition going to do for him in life? What joy was it going to bring him?
Then again, there was Mom. She wanted so desperately for him to do well in school, despite his telling her over and over again, that he wasn't interested in those boring subjects. He was a demi-god. Part god, spawn of Poseidon. Did Poseidon ever study molecular composition? No! He was too busy ruling the oceans. Did he ever think about the fact that all that water was Dihydrogen Monoxide, or whatever it was? Of course not!
He scowled at his phone and walked over to the pool, scooping a handful of water and placing it to his forehead. It made him feel instantly better. While ocean water felt the best out of everything, any form of water served it's purpose for him, even the frozen water in the hockey rink. Resisting the urge to just toss his cellphone into the pool, he stood up and walked out, heading to the the lab where his science group was meeting.
