Appearance: gracie is characterized by her sweet blue eyes, numerous freckles, auburn hair & thick eyebrows. she has a radiant smile, as little as it shows. her ladylike qualities show very little in her build. she has a very bulky frame, with little chest - and she likes to cover and drown what little curves she has in sweatpants and sweatshirts.
Personality: gracie is a kind - hearted soul with her own reasoning and motives for the things she does. she knows right from wrong - morality from sin - and was raised with good in her heart. however, the ways she goes about doing this are poor and there are very few who can accept her sometimes brutal mindset. if you do something wrong - there are consequences. though it seems like she has little sympathy for others, life is life and she doesn't want to bother with your problems. if you do well, a little nod is all you need from her. she's decent at giving advice, as her mind tends to work quickly and in steady, rhythmic patterns and she is quite intelligent. gracie isn't very good with humor, and the little bit she has is shared among her very good friends, and often in a cold or sarcastic way. she gets jokes, of course, but you won't get too much of a laugh out of her. if it's rude, the only reaction you'll receive is a bit of scorn. she doesn't want dilly dally, small talk. she wants the point, and that's all she needs. she doesn't want, and will never take your bullshit. she's not too shy about her opinions, and she always seems to have one. of course, gracie is one to keep more to herself. people who are like her tend to capture her heart -- people who have things in common with her and have things of point to speak about come second. she's very good to her friends, and though still not quite a perfect soul, she acts as a motherly figure or 'guidence counselor' to some degree. she doesn't openly display her feelings, though she doesn't find them a weakness, persay. she thinks, occasionally, that she's above them and throwing feelings around can turn someone into a brat or a whiner. the word 'love' has never applied to anyone but her best friends, and she's rather clumsy when it comes to crushes. one thing she'll never tell you, is that she cries almost daily with the guilt in her heart. one can only hold in so much. and maybe all she wants is a hug.

History:
gracie is the only one of her siblings born from the goddess themis. she was second in the szelest family to come into the house, though the single father was always out & about in the acting world , and there could have been others. unlike some sister's, gracie's was protective and sweet to her. perhaps gracie radiated goodness, like her mother, or maybe she wanted a barbie doll. a year after gracie's arrival, came another younger brother, to whom they were equally benevolent. but they're father wasn't around often, and left them with a nanny in a nice house with a lovely pool and garden. it wasn't as though they were spoiled. he was certainly as good of a father as a long distance father could be. he cared, clearly, with letters and phone calls he made every day, but gracie often felt like she had no where to run, until she met her best friend in fifth grade. they did everything together, and she was more often with him than she was at her house or in anyone else's presence. they were very good friends, until he fell ill -- and found he had heart problems. the friendship ended their, and a brotherhood began between them. she couldn't leave his side, not at this point. they were too close to let go of each other. gracie found herself fading away into a shadow of herself, a more procient shadow that was concerned with little more than her best friend, but was good at faking everything. she could pretend she was athletic, liked school. but she couldn't fake a smile. as soon as the boy was out of the hospital, she could detach herself from his side. she didn't know what she could do without him.
