----------------------------------------------------- The drama was draining me. The homework was draining me. Everything was just draining me. I felt like a vampire victim after a long night of bloodletting. My normal perky self just didn’t feel like coming out of its shell today. Luckily it was Friday and all of my classes were virtually finished for the day, which meant that I could take a nap. All my brain kept thinking was that naps were awesome as I trudged towards the dormitories and made my way towards my room. The look I gave my mirror as I walked into my room was one filled with fatigue. I gave my appearance a glance before shrugging."Meh. I look fine."
Dumping my books on my bed, I grabbed two white fluffy pillows and then grabbed two blankets from the bed. Oh yeah. I was so totally serious about this. With my mind entirely focused on the luxury of sleeping outside with the sun beating down on me, I was freaking determined to get to my destination - The Quad. I ignored the stares of my fellow peers as I walked out into the dorm hallway and then outside. The stares persisted, but I wanted sleep so I ignored them. Plop. Plop. Plop. The sounds of my feet on the pavement were keeping me awake as I made my way through the grass towards the Quad. A bright smile appeared on my face once I got there. I could sleep at last!
My feet moved faster than my mind at this point, walking over to a shady tree. Laying out my first blanket, I bent forward to place the pillows just right at the edge of it. A small mew of pleasure escaped my lips as I laid my head down on the pillows' soft plushy awesome surface. Wrapping myself up in the blanket, I nuzzled deep into the pillow and let a small smile form on my face. Then sleep hit me and I was soon lost in my little dream world.

I was still trying to get used to the whole swing of things here. I've only been at Richmond for about a week and still I was not used to this; sure, I had made a few friends, but that alone wasn't going to keep me from getting lost. I was still arriving late to my classes because I would forget where I was and then end up scrambling around. Things were very slowly getting better, though, but at a very sluggish rate.
For now, though, I was sitting in the quad, doing nothing in particular. You know, people had always said that there was something strange about Richmond, but as I watched people go to and fro, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Except this one girl.... she was carrying a blanket and pillow, stalking across the quad and planting herself down beneath a tree and going to sleep. Well... that certainly was new. My head tilted to the side as I watched her, trying to figure out what she was doing.
Before I realized it, I stood up and made my way over to her and sat down beside her, watching her sleep. She wasn't particularly beautiful -- I was never one to care about beauty -- but there was just something about the way she slept that drew me in and kept me silently watching her. She was foreign, that's for sure, so maybe foreigners are just nice sleepers. I don't know what was going on with me -- I wasn't attracted to her beauty; I was drawn to her sleeping, if that makes any sense at all.

A strange dream began to bombard my mind. There I was walking down my school's hallways late for class, but everything was in black and white. I was reminded once again that I hated things in black and white. It made everything way too creepy especially since this was a dream. Everyone appeared to be normal though, so I wasn't too worried so far. The feeling that I was being watched though kept bothering me. Maybe it was a horror movie type dream? It was too soon in the dream for me to be able to tell. Suddenly the temperature dropped and I could see my breath in front of me. That was weird. Why was the air conditioning on so low when it was winter? Shouldn't the school be nice and toasty warm? It didn't make sense at all. Heck, I had looked myself in a mirror in the hallway and I was even bundled up in layers. It shouldn't be this cold.
"I'm going ghost!" What? The loud puberty stricken voice sounded from down the hall and that was when she saw him: the white hair, the glowing green eyes, and the body suit. It was Danny Phantom? Sure, it was the only bit of American tv I had seen while at Richmond so far so it kind of made sense to have a dream about it. "Watch out behind you!" A look of confusion appeared on my face as my body turnd around. "Oh goodness." I mumbled to myself. A strange blob like creature was in floating in front of me, staring down and smiling at me all strange like. I grabbed onto something that felt like a jacket and gripped onto it. "Scary ghost. Needs to go away." I mumbled again as I turned. My body seemed to be touching something but what? What could it be? I nuzzled my head into that something and hoped I could weather out the dream without getting hurt by the ghostie. Maybe whatever I was grabbing onto would help?
