The soft silky feeling of her cotton blanket rubbing against her bare legs made Emmaline smile. The sun was shining bright, but she had found a spot to hang out at underneath some trees in an attempt to shield her from the sun. Despite her bright and cheery personality, the junior was not a big fan of the sunlight. She loved it when it was overcast and rainy. It helped her day dream better for some reason. With an unusually focused mind, she began taking out her sketch pad and the books she had checked out from the library on the Greek Gods and Goddesses. Lately she had developed a very strange interest on them which had been fueling her art somewhat. Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to slip into her world. Slowly her mind began constructing her image of Olympus – the home of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. Big white clouds protected humans from coming in before reaching the top of the mountain. Soon she was at the paradise. While she day dreamed, her hand grabbed onto a mechanical pencil and started sketching out what she was seeing. Soon a faint sketch of Mount Olympus was on her paper along with well sketched architecture begun to form on the page. It would be really cool if she could find someone that was a god or even part god. The rational part of her mind told her that they didn’t exist, but the part of her she loved said they did. “It would be amazing if I could meet one.”

Sage stretched, making his already tall body appear even taller. He then rubbed his eyes and let out a yawn. Algebra was not Sage's favorite subject. For some reason when he heard too many numbers at one time his brain would check out and then eventually doze off. Everyday his teacher would yell at him but every day he kept falling asleep. Either the teacher stopped caring, found Sage too stubborn, or the mixture of the two, because she stopped waking him up. Now he had just awoken from his slumber and wandered the Quad trying to find something to do. At that moment, Sage's ice blue eyes spotted a girl under a tree. She did not look familiar to him at all, but was always open to meeting new people. Sage made his way up to the girl to hear her say "It would be amazing if I could meet one." With a smile on his face, Sage looked down at the girl. "Meet one what?"

The scritch-scratch sound of her mechanical pencil was like music to her ears. Although, she really wished she had brought her I-pod with her while she busied away at her sketchpad. Her music was strange and exciting with the occasional current mainstream popular song popping up while the I-pod shuffled her songs at random. What she would give to listen to Emilie Autumn or the newer version of Nightwish? Well, probably nothing, but it was the thought that counted. Emmaline was so lost and focused on her drawing that she didn’t notice footsteps approaching until she heard someone speak to her. Her hazel-green eyes widened and a look of surprise crossed her features before she looked up and noticed who was there. “Oh? OH! Hello!” Emmaline said hurriedly, shutting her sketchbook in the process. She inwardly flinched when she felt the pencil create a thick line across her paper. That was not good.
Her eyes started to focus on the guy standing up in front of her; her mind quickly connecting the image of him with information she had in her brain. This guy was vaguely familiar to her. Of course, she had never met him before but she had a feeling that he was one of those popular boys that everyone seemed to know and adore. Well, everyone except her. “Sorry. I get a little nervous when people pop up while I’m working.” Emmaline apologized quickly; her fingers carelessly brushing through the strands of her wavy brown hair. The fact that this guy had heard her talking to herself was a tad bit embarrassing, but she couldn’t really lie either about what she had been talking about. Mustering up her reluctance, she tried to come up with something that didn’t sound too weird. “I have a weird fascination with immortal beings at the moment. They are so fun to draw. Well, at least to me. Anyway, I was wondering what it would be like to meet a god or a goddess. Would they be pretty? Would they be cruel or really nice? It’s really stupid but it’s just a curiosity of mine.”

It was obviously that this girl was fluttered by Sage's sudden presence. She was probably way into her drawing to even notice anyone else. But that's okay, hopefully after introducing himself to her, she will notice him a bit more. She was an awkward girl, but Sage liked the attention of others. It wasn't like she was unattractive though! She was pretty in a plain Jane sort of way which Sage could admire. So many girls had make up plastered on their face that he had a hard time figuring out what was under that mask of makeup they had. Seeing a girl this this one was...refreshing.
Sage tried to peek at the girl's sketch, but the pages were already closed up tight against her keeping whatever was inside a secret. "Ah, no I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." Sage smiled sweetly ensuring her that he was kind and sweet and not some sort of horn dog that he was. Sage listened to the words that she spoke next and an eyebrow instantly rose. gods and goddess? He knew the girl was a regular student, but she was talking about gods and goddesses like they were real even though she claimed she wished they were real. Sage didn't know what to do. It was of the utmost importance for demigods to keep the secret of their true identity, but secrets were no fun to keep. Sage tossed around the idea in his mind. "Gods huh? Hey, not judging seems pretty cool." Sage sat down under the tree next to the cute artist. "Tell me a little about them, huh?"
