Chandra walked out of her last class of the day, it was stressful being a senior it meant more work and more work meant more stress, with the year quickly coming to an end she needed to focus on her work with no distractions. But there was one distraction that she couldn't get out of her mind it was her lover Roman, who was force to leave with his parents to Australia her junior year and his senior year after he moved she never heard from after that. Even though a year had passed her love for him never failed, some would say she was foolish hoping that he would come back for her, maybe they were right but some people didn't know who was. Being the daughter of Athena, it was in Chandra's blood to be wise and no matter what she had to believe that Roman would come back for her. But there was one question in her mind, would be still be the same person that she was in love with?
Chandra sat under a tree that provided shade from the sun, it was a humid day for it to winter but it felt nice anyway. Digging through her backpack, she took out a binder that had a picture of Roman and herself sitting under that same tree, it was taken a few months before he left. With a sigh she opened a binder to a blanke sheet of lined paper and started to work on her english homework. |

 They said time was fickle. That it eroded emotion and left love as little more than wandering affection. For the longest time Roman wanted to believe that. For when he had been forced from the arms of his love and sent to an entirely other country, he felt that there was nothing else but emptiness within. For the year he'd remained vigilant, and he tried his hardest to not want to drop everything just to get back to Chandra, the girl he'd left behind. And now...after a year, he was back. In California, walking the Richmond school grounds. A bag slung over his shoulder, and a rather ragged looking jacket hanging from his broad shoulders. He'd changed a bit since he'd last been at Richmond. He was taller, broader, smarter...older. But one thing had never changed. He still loved Chandra with the same burning passion that he'd felt while he'd attended the school for demis and regulars.
As he passed the olympic sized swimming pool, his dark eyes caught a glimpse of a vision of beauty. Forced to stop in his tracks, Roman stared openly at Chandra, sitting neatly beneath a tree that he remembered quite clearly. He had a picture in his wallet of him and Chandra sitting under that very tree. A smile broke out on his lips and he continued forward. He knew Chandra had no idea he was coming back to school. he had wanted it to be a surprise. Of course, the bigger surprise was to come, but for now...
"Chandra!" he broke into a run, dark hair falling into his features as he smiled wide and laughed.

After Roman left Chandra made a promise to herself that she would remain loyal to him, giving hope a chance that Roman would find her, and be his once again. From the first day she Roman her heart belonged to him it always had and it always will remain his. There were things Chandra missed about with Roman the he held her, kissed her everything about him made Chandra miss him more and more with each passing day. Chandra let out a deep sigh as she tried to focus on her work but her mind was too set on Roman it was days like this that made is hard for Chandra, she closed her binder placing it beside her.
She looked up to the sky remembering Roman is if it was just yesterday she met him an fell in love with him, nobody here at Richmond infact nobody in the world could replace Roman for he was one of a kind. Placing her head lightly against the tree she closed her eyes remembering Roman, then as if by a miracle she heard a voice....a voice that she remembered so well she turned her head to see a figure running towards her even though he looked different she knew who it was right then and there, she quickly stood up and started to run towards him "Roman!" She yelled with pure delight, as she got close she jumped into his arms wrapping her arms around him tightly. |

His worries flew straight out the proverbial window as Chandra looked up, the look of surprise on her features giving way for a bright smile. He'd missed her so much. And now he knew she'd missed him just as much. As he got closer he dropped his bag then caught her into his arms, spinning her around before he held her close.
"Chandra, I missed you so much," he breathed into hair as he hugged her tight. When he released her, he let his knuckles graze along her cheekbone, before he leant and caught her lips with his. His kiss was both gentle and deep, trying to convey the fact that he'd missed her deeply in the months they'd been apart. His hand trailed along her shoulder and tangled through her hair, deepening the kiss as he pulled her close again. Finally, he pulled back, placing one softer kiss against her lips before he smiled.
For the first time in almost two years he was completely happy. His hand rose and he rubbed his chin, well aware of the stubble that sat there. He hoped she wasn't put off by it.
"I am never leaving you again."

It seemed hope had finally paid off for Chandra as she felt the arms of her lover hold her again after two long years. The sound of his voice made her worries go away, and warm her heart she still had that same burning passion for him the same day he left, he did look different but that didn't matter to her, what mattered to her was that he came back and he was still the same person he was when he left her. She closed her eyes when she felt his knuckles graze her cheekbone, then she felt his lips Chandra wrapped his arms around his neck not wanting to let go of him afraid that she would lose him again and she wasn't going to let that happen. She could feel how much he missed her through that first kiss of being apart for two years, she felt his hand go along her shoulder it sent tingles down her spine.
When she felt him pull away her eyes filled with tears of joy, being held by him again brought her comfort, comfort she hasn't felt in a long time. She looked looked deep into his eyes as a hand gently stroked the side of his face "I thought I would never see you again." She said to him softly, as a placed a loving kiss on his lips then rested her head against his. |

"I never lost faith, Chandra," Roman held her close again, before he pulled back, looking her over. "You've gotten taller...slightly," he had always teased her about her height in comparison to his own. What with him being close to 6'4 in height, she was something on the short side in comparison. But he had always loved that. "And your hair is longer... And you're a senior..."
Ah, those were the days. Back in his senior year before he got swept away to Australia, he and Chandra had been damn near inseparable. And now, they were together again. "You look good, sweetheart...Here, sit down, i have something to tell you, actually."
Now was the time to tell her the really good news. He nodded towards where she'd been sitting before he dropped down, stretching his legs out before pulling her down onto his lap, a chuckle leaving him at her squeal of surprise. He loved the noises she made. And he was glad she hadn't changed. That she was still the same Chandra he had fallen in love with.
"I know you're in school, and I graduated last year... but I have some good news, I've returned to Richmond to be a teacher, so I'm not going to randomly disappear again," he explained, as he brushed a lock of hair behind her ear and smiled faintly. "I'll just be your resident PE Coach."

Chandra couldn't help but smile when he heard his words about how he didn't lose and she was happy she didn't either. Roman had change during the year he was gone, he had gotten a tad bit darker, he had more muscle tone to his body, he had a scar on his temple witch made her wonder how he got it. But all in all she didn't care at all, as she cared about was how he was the same person she fell in love with, and now they were togather again.
Chandra's mouth dropped when he teased her about her hight, he had gotten taller much he towered over her now. Chandra wasn't very tall but she was taller then some of the girls at a school, soon that dropped mouth turned into a smile, "Well don't you feel special?" She teased right back. She learned how to over his teasing after she fell in love with him and she started to actually enjoy his teasing, well some of it anyway When she heard his compliment about how she looked she couldn't help but blush slightly "Thank you, you look good youself love".
She followed him to where she was sitting earlier, she looked away for a moment then she felt him pull her down so that she was sitting in his lap. Since it caught her by surprise she let out a squeel before laughing. After that little moment she heard him speaking about how he was now a teacher at Richmond, he was the new PE Coach, a smile appeared on her face when she felt his hand put a strand of hair behind her ear, "Well as long as your back and here to stay, i'm happy Roman." She said with a sweet smile on her face, as she turned to face him. |

Roman smiled. She hadn't changed. She was still the same Chandra. Beautiful and wise, just like Athena. Only right, considering Athena was her mother. He shifted, leaning back against the tree as he smiled, his hand just brushing along her cheek as he looked up at her. He had missed her. And now, here they were. Would things return to normal? Even after two years. He'd seen a lot of things while he'd been in Australia. Hell, he'd even met a demigod. Some obnoxious prick by the name of Logan. He hadn't stuck around long enough to learn what god the dude was the son of, but it didn't matter. He and Logan hadn't liked each other at all. His attention shifted, and he looked back to Chandra.
"So, how has life been treating you while I was gone?"

Chandra was happy that she was in his arms again, she missed the feeling of his touch, his voice everything about him she missed dearly. She felt his hand against her cheek she placed her head on his wrist. She could only wonder what he did when he was in Australia, after she knew he probably got into a few brawls over there afterall he was the son of Apollo but he was different from his half-siblings, he was protective, kind and very understandable. She laid back so that her head was on his chest, "Well, it was different after you left, but it seems to getting better and better now that you're back." She said to him lovingly. If there was one place she could stay for the rest of her life it would be right here with Roman, there was nobody in the world that could replace him.
"What about you, How was Australia?" She asked him, wanting to hear about his experiance there. It must've been hard for him to move to an entirely different country were he was the new kid. But now he was back and that was all cared about. |
