It was pretty cold out today, even for her. Normally the cold didn’t bother her but today was just icky. She had taken one look at the sky and had almost decided to stay nuzzled up in her blankets, ignoring the world outside of her dorm. Alas, this was not her personality whatsoever. Her mind had already decided that she needed to go outside of school and do something. Her body needed to release tension badly. The only place the young girl could think of releasing said tension was at the playground near the school’s campus.
After taking another glance out her window, she saw the growing rain clouds in the sky. Yep, it was going to rain sometime today. If she got dressed and rode her bike out now she could play a little before it started to pour. Quickly dressing up in long skinny jeans, a bright pink tanktop and an old holiday sweatshirt and rain boots, Emmaline grabbed her keys and ran all the way down the dorm stairs until she reached her bike. Ignoring the icy wind, she hopped on and began to pedal her way to the park. It took her about fifteen minutes, even with the force of the wind, and was overly happy when she reached the playground. “Swings you are mine!” Like a little child, she hopped off the bike and ran giddily to the swings. It was going to be awesome today.

Chase often found comfort in the rocking of the swings. He wasn't sure why, but he often found himself doing his best thinking on the child's playset. His childhood hadn't been a bad one at all. In fact, he grew up quite happy playing war games with his dad, even thought he did often find himself missing his mother, who he'd never met. It was the middle of the day and he didn't expect to have run-ins with too many people, given that most of the children were off at whatever school they went to, and most of the Demigods at Richmond were far too cool to be seen on a children's playset.
However, his normal calm was disrupted as he saw a cute girl running towards the playset. Oh, hello... he thought to himself, and the girl bounded over, having jumped off a bike. She must have been from Richmond, but he didn't recognize her at all. Perhaps one of the regular students that he didn't see too often. Regardless, she was quite cute, and Chase had every intention of making this an opportunity.

Swings were so much freakin’ fun. She had always loved swinging when she was a kid. Playgrounds in general were just the best places for her to express herself and let her mind go wild. Normally she brought her sketchpad with her but it really did look like it would rain. Rain was awesome but not if it destroyed all of her precious little drawings. Drawings that she had worked on for god knew how long that would make her cry if she ever found out that they had been destroyed. Her mind was so focused on the swings that she hardly noticed the guy that was sitting on one of them on the other end of the swings set.
As quick as a bunny, Emmaline took off her sweatshirt while ignoring the cold before she tied it around her slender waist. Her pink tanktop was bright against the milky whiteness of her skin, making her practically glow against the dark colors of the swing. With a quick jump she sat her butt down on the swing and gripped onto the chains. That was when she noticed the strange guy staring at her. Looking to her left she saw him. Without realizing it she gave him a smile and a little wave before she began pushing her legs back and forth, moving up and back down on the swing. He seemed kind of cute and he looked kind of familiar. There were way too many people at Richmond for her to remember who was who and which face belonged to a person. “Hi! How are you?”

Chase was completely amused at the fact that the girl seemed to completely disregard his existence at first. We wondered for a moment if he'd somehow managed to make himself invisible. Could Demigods do that? Holy crap, that'd be awesome! He smirked to himself, thinking that he was now invisible. Gods, what could he do if he was invisible? He'd sneak into the girls showers for one. And he could... well, let's just stick with sneaking into the girls showers.
Then the girl acknowledged him. Curses! He wasn't invisible. Oh well, at least now he could strike up a conversation with this cute girl. "Hello there," he replied with a grin. "I'm doing well, and you?" He got up from his own swing and made his way over to sit in the one next to hers. "Chase Finley," he said, holding out a hand to shake. "It's an exceptional pleasure to make your acquaintance." He felt like he would at least recognize her if she was a demigod, but her face was unfamiliar. He would have remembered this one. She must have been a regular student. Oh well, all the better, really.
