It was midnight or so, her favorite time to be out. Celeste walked alone along the shoreline, her hands in her hoodie pockets. Her hood was up, and it was quiet. The only sounds were the water lightly lapping against the shore and her footsteps as she walked along the rocky shore. Her ipod was off for once, she was almost always listening to music. Tonight, all she had was her thoughts. Which wasn't always a good thing. Sometimes... Her thoughts lead her to some less than ideal situations.
It's so quiet. That's a good thing though. No assholes to ruin the night... Reaching her destination, she sat on the large rock that was as black as night. Her eyes trailed the shoreline, just looking around. Not seeing anything of interest, she sighed and pulled out her lighter. Flicking it open and turning the thumb-wheel, she watched as the flame appeared. She repeated the process several times, watching the flame. Usually, she didn't mind being alone. Now... She actually wanted some company.

Tam moved out along the path towards the lake, running a hand tiredly through her hair, completely wrapped up in her thoughts. She didn't much like being out in the dark, she would have preferred to be in the safe confines of her bedroom but she'd felt like a walk. After all, she had a ridiculous amount on her mind and doubted she would have been able to sleep even if she tried. Tam's eyes remained fixed on the lake as she walked, her arms wrapped tightly around her middle. It was only after a bit that she saw a flicker in the corner of her eye. She gave a start and turned to see someone else. She squinted until she saw the girl sitting on a rock. "Bloody hell you scared the crap out of me," She breathed. Outfit!

Turning her head to see the other girl, she continued to play with the lighter. "Oh, sorry..." She got that a lot. Most people tended not to notice her. But then again it was midnight, and dark, so that could be it too. Whatever the reason, at least now she had someone to talk to. "I'm Celeste." She didn't mind the dark at all, in fact she loved it. But that was what came with being a daughter of Nyx. Why else would she be out at a lake around midnight? Well... If she got bored... But that's another story altogether.
[Sorry, short post...]

"It's err...ok," Tam said slowly, watching the lighter somewhat warily. She didn't much like the idea of being out in the dark with someone who seemed to be playing with a lighter...it made her nervous. She shook this thought aside, internally rolling her eyes at each other. She'd always been a little cowardly.
"I'm Tam," She smiled, moving slightly closer, it seemed rude to stand at such a distance when talking to someone.
"Err...are you lost or something?" She asked stupidly after a bit.
She couldn't really see any other reason why someone would want to sit out in the dark...then again she didn't see the reason behind a lot of things...including her own actions...she hurriedly pushed that thought out of her head.
"Mind if I sit down?" She asked deciding that she might feel better socialising then randomly walking round.
[No worries!]

The silver eyed girl noticed her watching the lighter. "Sorry about the lighter. I'm just... Bored." Was she the type to play with fire when bored? Obviously. Truth be told she found it entertaining. When the girl asked if she was lost she shook her head. "Nope. I was on a walk before, but I like it out here." She felt stronger at night, and if she was feeling down being out in the night air always made her feel better. As the girl asked to sit down, Celeste moved over. "Not at all." Moving over to give the girl room, she pulled her knees to her and wrapped her arms around them.

Tam laughed when she realised Celeste had noticed her looking at the lighter.
"Nah it's ok," She smiled amiably, her English accent wrapping round her words. She pushed a hand through her hair before moving her sleeves over her hands as she sat down, resting her arms against her knees.
"It looks kind of weird...but pretty," She said as she glanced out across the moonlit lake, the water lapping slowly.
"The lake I mean," She added as an afterthought with a laugh in case she was wondering what they hell she was talking about.
"I don't think I've ever been down here in the day let alone the dark," She said.
[Ugh, awful post, sorry!]

[It's alright. It's better than mine...]
The girl nodded in agreement. It was true, the lake was pretty. "I love the night..." She gave a quiet laugh before looking back to Tam. "You probably think I'm a freak, huh? A girl randomly sitting out by the lake playing with a lighter around midnight." Normally, she wouldn't be this social, but it was her time of the night and she was in a good mood. Her eyes trailed out over the lake, looking it over. So peaceful...

Tsmara looked at her.
"Admittedly at first I was a little afraid you were some kind of psycho with a fixation on arson but you seem ok...too many horror movies I guess," She smiled.
"Not that you look like something out of horror movie or anything...just circumstances," She adds with a light laugh.
"Sorry I keep warbling, I'm not usually like this...well actually I probably am but I guess I just need to keep talking else, I have way too much on my mind otherwise," She said.

"Some kind of phsyco with a fixation on arson'? The thought made her laugh. "It's fine. I do play with fire a lot, but I try not to burn the place down." In fact, that was something she did daily, play with the lighter. It was a habit of hers. When the girl mentioned horror movies, she grinned. "I love horror movies." As she apologized for talking so much, Celeste just shook her head. "Nah, it's fine."

"Nah, I'm not good with horror movies, I can sit through them but sure as hell don't enjoy them, especially those really freaky suspency ones...in fact they're the worst because they make you super paranoid!" She laughed, leaning back as she kept her palms flat against the rock, looking back out across the mirror like surface.
