Kaleb was the one guy who always had something smart to say when it came to situations like this one. He sat in the driver's seat for the longest time, with the car keys still in his hand. Finally, he started the car and peeled out of the driveway. Every song on the radio reminded him of Sarafina and the last thing he needed was to remind himself of her. He'd been through this before, but he had never felt so stupid in his life. She was right though, he brought this on himself and now he was going to have to deal with it. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Dodger was falling back into his old ways, and Kaleb was the only person who could stop him.
"Kaleb, you sure as hell better be home." Dodger knew Kaleb too well to knock on the door, and for some reason Kaleb left the door unlocked.

Kaleb was doing laps in his swimming pool it seemed to help him relax, and right now he needed that relaxation since his engagement just got broken off by his ex-fiance Tam. After all maybe Kaleb could do better, afterall Tam cheated on him with some guy named Ace James, then she was thinking about breaking it off. He came to the side of the pool and stopped taking in a deep breath as he rested. He saw a dim of light come from front door, he saw Dodger "Come on in man." Kaleb called out then swam to the steps. He got a towl and started to dry himself off. He walked into the house and saw something different about Dodger "Hey Dodger, what's wrong man?" He asked concerned.

As soon as he walked in, he could smell chlorine. Kaleb had an indoor pool that he liked to use a lot, to clear his head and help him relax. The last time they talked, Kaleb told him that he wasn't with Tam anymore because she decided she wanted to go run off with someone else. But that wasn't Kaleb's fault, he didn't have to carry that guilt with him everywhere he went. Dodger hated seeing Sarafina in the hallways at school, he usually just looked at the ground avoiding eye contact. They didn't have any classes together, but now it felt like he was seeing her everywhere.
"Why am I so stupid? I get something good, then I mess it all up." He shrugged his shoulders, a look on his face that looked as tired as Dodger felt.

Kaleb looked at Dodger, he wasn't the same ever since it happened and Sarafina was out of his life. He walked and sat down next him and gave him a slight pat on the shoulder, then Kaleb rubbed his neck where there were scratch marks from a fight he got into a few days ago with some other senior named Semper Capone, he never knew why this fights started. He looked at Dodger, "Before you start asking questions, I got into a fight with Semper Capone. The little asshole deserved what he got though for egging me on when Tam broke off the engagment. He tried to strangle me to death." Kaleb said to Dodger then looked back at him.
