When Xavier's school is destroyed the X Men have no choice but to relocate.
The City of San Francisco welcomes the X Men with open arms as the mutants must train themselves to think differently.
No longer a school, but a military organization who must protect their race and the city of San Francisco.
They are not the only mutants in the city as the Evil Sisterhood of Mutants and the reckless Marauders threaten the Golden City from within.
