Tam just looked at him for a moment, none of the anger truly abaited by his words.
"Well you ARE being a bitch," She said flatly.
"It's hard enough that I'm doing this on my own with Sage hating me let alone you acting like a bastard all the time...and what Adam has to do with this I don't know. Being pregnant isn't all fun and games, kids are responsibility but it's not like you're having any part in it anyway so I don't get why it's so hard to 'accept all at once'," She said acidically.
"Oh and you better not have your shoes on the sofa," She snapped eyeing them distastefully.

Adam was still in the kitchen and until the storm that was brewing in the front room died out, that was where he was staying. He didn’t know the full story between the two Demigod’s in the house, that was the way Tamara liked to keep it for the most part. Never going into full detail unless forced to with Adam, just giving him what he needed to know at the moment, but Adam couldn’t resist over hearing what Tamara was spewing to Semp in the front room. He already knew that Tamara didn’t want to have Semp in the children lives, again Adam did not know why other then it’s complicated; which again explained Semp’s attitude toward Adam since he believed Adam was taking his place not only in Tamara’s life but his children life as well.
Adam fished out the meal that Tamara had prepared out of the oven and set the dinner out and let it cool, and from the aroma that overpowered Adam’s noise told him at least his last meal will smell nice at least, and from how things were going in the Front room his last meal might be sooner then he thought. “Um Tamara could I see you in here for a bit, I can’t find the cups.” Adam lied of course, he already found the cups looking for the plates earlier but he wanted Tamara away from Semp for the most part to cut down on the fighting for at least for another few minutes, but the way things were going it wasn’t going to work out that way.

There was no point in arguing about me being a bitch, simply because I really was being obnoxious. But I had every reason to be, in my opinion. How was I supposed to just accept some other guy waltzing in and taking my own children? I certainly was not welcoming the idea, but hell, what's my opinion worth? Nothing, I can tell you that right now. She had made all of these decisions and never bothered to ask how I felt about it.
"When the hell did I ever say I didn't want t' have any part in this? You're the one that came straight out 'n' said y' didn't want me t' have any part of it t' save from embarrassment, or trouble, or whatever." I said, trying to keep my tone even, knowing perfectly well that I was only fueling the fire, but I honestly didn't care. "'n' it's hard t' accept because they're mine too." Maybe that's what she wasn't getting. The twins had half of her DNA while they also had half of mine. Of course I would want to be a part of all of this. I brought my hands up and rubbed my face, frustrated. "Y' know what, forget it. Ain't like my opinion counts anyway 'n' it ain't like I can change yours." I couldn't help but snort at her shoe comment. Hell, I couldn't even fit on the sofa length-wise to begin with -- my feet were hanging off the end anyway, so I didn't bother to listen. Thankfully, though, Adam called for Tam from the other room, so hopefully she would just leave me alone.

Tam spluttered slightly.
"YOU FUCKED MY SISTER AND BROTHER! WHAT KIND OF OTHER ARRANGEMENT DID YOU EXPECT?!" Tam demanded.
"How the bloody hell could I ask you to be the father of my kids?! And I didn't exactly hear you saying anything against it, I told you about those stupid classes and you said you thought it was best if you 'kept some distance' or something like that. If you want to be taken seriously how about getting a proper job?" She snapped before turning on her heel and marching to the kitchen.
"AND TAKE THOSE BLOODY SHOES OFF!" She yelled through the open door as she pulled open the cupboard door, angrily moving the cups onto the side of the counter.
"Melodramatic, self pitying bastard," She muttered probably loud enough for the next door neighbours to hear but 'quietly' in her book.

I didn't exactly have a comeback for her. Yeah, I did do things with Sage and Chicago, but... I don't quote know why that has anything to do with the situation at hand any, other than them being furious at us both. She shouldn't have brought up Chicago, though; I love Chicago and it's hard to even really look her in the eye because of everything that's happened while she was gone. "Well, they don't like either of us now, so..." My voice trailed off. I was doing everything I could to mend the friendship between myself and Chicago and Sage, but it's hard. Incredibly hard. If only I hadn't been a fucking idiot and gotten drunk that night... it's no use wishing. What's done is done. There's no going back.
My eyes shot a glare at her when she said that I needed to get a "proper" job. What the hell? Seriously? "A 'proper' job? Really? So puttin' out fires, runnin' into burnin' buildings, helpin' people at car wrecks, and respondin' t' emergency calls ain't proper enough? I only do the amusement park stuff when I ain't on shift at the fire station." I wanted to throw back at her that she was the one that needed to get a job, but that would only provoke more arguing. I wanted this fight to just be over as quickly as possible, so I tried biting my tongue and staying quiet.
I looked down at my shoes. They were dirty, but not disgusting. Sheesh. I pulled myself up and took off my boots, letting them drop to the floor below. And instead of shooting back a snarky reply to the melodramatic comment, I just laid back down, muttering to myself.

If ever was there a time Adam wanted to be small and invisible this was the perfect time to adopt one of the other Demigod’s powers over invisibility. Adam could feel the tension building, even with Adam trying to get Tamara into the kitchen away from Semp. She was still fighting with Semp.
“Tamara the cups,” Adam reminded her as she stormed in and Adam took a few steps back to allow the pregnant women some room. As for the names and the story about why Tamara hates Semp or the reason why Tamara doesn’t want Semp in the babies lives. Tamara always told Adam that if he slept with any of her siblings it would be over between them. Not in those exact words, but still meaning the same and hearing Tamara go off on Semp like she was now. He could see his possible future with her if he did in fact do one of her siblings.
Adam grabbed the cups and walked into the dining room where he placed his jacket thinking of a way to defuse this bomb that was already counted down to zero, and it seemed Tamara might be a lost cause at this point and time, maybe he should try Semp. Adam’s eye’s flickered from the table he was setting and where he was standing placing the final cup he got a good look at the young man spread across the sofa, but seeing as he was still fuming as well. He might want to draw attention to the missing member to this party.
“Um aren’t we missing someone else to this dinner?” Adam asked his hands resting against the chair as it allowing him not to fall face forward.

((OOC: Is Chicago back in this/does Tam know?))
"I thought you volunteered at the fire station," Tam said flatly through the doorway before she picked up the cups and moved them into the other room.
"We are but Sage'll probably miss it, he usually takes any chance to avoid anything that may possibly bring us together long enough to say an awkward 'hi' before someone escapes," Tam explained somewhat more calmly as she addressed Adam.

Usually, at times like these, I'd be all over the food because it takes a hell of a lot to fill me up, but right now I didn't care. My large appetite had been replaced with anger. "We graduated. I got a job there 'cause I need it." I answered in a low growl, not really aiming the answer at Tam even though she was the one who had asked me the question. I didn't want to join them, so I just sat where I was, determined to be stubborn as an ass if either of them asked me anything at all.

((I'll give it a whirl :P oh and anyone mind if I throw my new charrie in here? He's Tam's cousin...))
"There are better ways to make money. If needed a job when we graduated, I could very easily have become a stripper or a pole dancer or prostitute, I didn't though and there's no reason why you can't get a decent job either," She huffed irritably before turning back to Adam.
"Speaking of which don't suppose you heard anything from that girl...you know...the crying one...I'll remember her name in a minute...nope it's gone but anyway, the guy with the comb over, he's a teacher of some kind, can't for the life of me remember what of...pretty sure one if my friends fancied him at some point, probably one of my sisters, they have weird taste, pretty sure she screwed him in one of the classrooms actually I know I can't go past room 8 without thinking about it...where was I...oh yeah! Anyway he said that he thought there was something up with her and I think you should probably talk to her. There's only so many times I can tell her she's pretty and that she should dump him," Tam told him, admittedly not altogether perturbed as to whether or not he got what she was saying.

"So whenever you're in a car wreck or yer house is on fire, don't call me." I muttered under my breath, feeling a spike of rage again. How the hell was firefighting not a "proper" job? We are the ones that respond to car wrecks and pull people from the mangled steel; we're the ones that rush into burning buildings to save people who are trapped inside; we're the ones that go out and rescue people if they're trapped in a river or what have you. How is it not a proper job? I wanted to just screech at her, but I bit down on my tongue, keeping myself quiet.
There wasn't much I could do, anyway. My leg was aching and I hated the damn brace that was on it. I didn't want to haul myself over to the dining room just to be yelled at by Tam again. Already I had made a shitty impression on Adam probably, and I knew that just avoiding them would only make it worse, but I was just going to avoid all confrontations at the cost of seeming bitchy and anti-social.

Adam kept an open ear to the two as the conversation started turn south, but Adam saw an opening to maybe turn the subject to something else, when Tamara asked about Ruth, even if it was a bit upsetting news, anything in Adam’s book was better than sitting on the sidelines and watching the mother and father of unborn children fighting, well other than being stuck in the, middle of it of course.
“Well Ruth she’s fine, she got suspended from School, though thanks to your advice. I found her and I’m guessing her boyfriend’s best friend about to have sex on my desk in my classroom. Luckily I got there before they both could do something they would regret, and I was able to talk the dean out of just kicking them out completely.” Adam gave Tamara the run-down of what unfolded thanks to her advice to one of his students. While he was making his way back to the living room where Semper was settling in, and as an afterthought he added, “Tamara I can’t stress enough how much your words have effect on others, especially kids, but I have to say I hear Ruth’s boyfriend has done a 180, I believe you’re going to make a fine Consular.” He squeezed one of Tamara’s hands before stepping into the living room, “Now if we can just tone down on the sex advice you’ll be golden in the school’s board’s eye, Heaven forbid we have the pregnancies rate of this school year skyrocket because you tell all the students to sleep away their problems.” Adam’s smile could not be seen by Tamara since he was now in the living room but he was smile from ear to ear, there was something about teasing the mother demigod about her antics that got Adam in a smiling mood, it might maybe had something to do with evening the score with Tamara for always teasing Adam himself, but soon the smile was cut short when he entered the living room where Semper sat and he knew that even a chainsaw won’t be able to cut the tension in this room, but maybe a guy talk could do the trick.
Adam put on his best friendly smile as he clapped his hands together and rubbed together, “So you’re a firefighter, how did you get into that?” Adam asked politely maneuvering around the couch not even trying to sit down next to Semper thinking that might be over the top and took a seat in a free armchair in the room.

"I'm not saying being a firefighter is a bad thing, give me a guy in uniform anyday...unless he's like 7th or however tall you are and has issues with shagging Aphrodite kids (you know it's people like you that cause sibling rivalrys), but you should at least ask them to pay you, that's all I'm saying," Tam said rolling her eyes as uncorked the wine, pulling one of the glasses and pouring herself one and turning back to Adam again. "Suspended? You reported her? To Chris?! I'm surprised he didn't try have her comitted to a bloody nunnery! He's related to miss purity herself (even though she got knocked up and I'm pretty sure she's only a junior now), makes you wonder when Semp got into her knickers, just gotta love Miss Smack, hey? Either way that's just bloody ridiculous, getting suspended for shagging someone," She snorted, going to take a sip of her drink before her gaze flattened and she set it down.
"Great, I can't drink," She muttered.
"And of course people listen to me, I'm flirtatious, charming and charismatic...and if all fails I nag so much they're forced to. The guy was easy I just still don't think they're good together, he's actually alright but she needs some idiot who'll mollycoddle her and write her poetry about how her eyes make him feel et," She said matter of factly, her finger gently skimming the edge of the wine glass before she looked up, an expression of mock offence on her face.
"Adam!" She gasped.
"You know I'm like the patron saint of contraception! I just believe in contraception and sex, it's scientifically proven that 'intercourse' is good for you,why go to the gym when you can shag instead?" She said pleasantly, sending him a smirk.

I didn't even bother mentioning to her that the station does, in fact, pay me. There was no use trying to get to her; she'd just find a way to make it sound like I was some country bum just leeching off people and performing at a circus. I put my hands on my face, trying to rub the frustration away. That didn't work, of course. Her high-pitched voice was just squeaking in my head, giving me a terrible sensation much like the horrible shivers I get when metal scrapes metal or nails on a chalkboard.
But then Adam's voice sounded a whole lot closer. I took my hands off my face, turning my head so that I could see him with my good eye. I don't know what the hell he was trying to pull on me, but butting heads with him would do no one good, and maybe I could try being nice to him. "I jus' started of as a volunteer." I answered, shrugging. "Graduated, then figured I'd jus' work there full time."
((Really bad post. Dx ))

Adam was a bit surprised that Semper actually answered him instead of the rude, or snapping of the general, “Mind your damn business” or the very normal and common Death glare without a word from the ex to the current even though Adam and Tamara wasn’t official, and if his memory served him right, neither were Semper, and Tamara. The only connection Adam could see between the two shared was the simple fact that Tamara was having his child, and all of this went through Adam’s Adam wasn’t sure what lead him to ask the next question other than the fact that he wanted to understand the relationship and history that Semper and Tamara had with one another. (Occ- starting trouble in three… two…. One. ) Adam leaned to the edge of his chair clearing his throat to grab Semper’s attention without gaining Tamara even though she was in another room. He did not want her to hear the two talking about well…. her. “Could I ask how you got her to hate you so much? I don’t know much about what went down, I don’t know if I really do want to know, but..” Adam left it at that, not knowing how to go on.
“I know you slept with one of her sisters’ but how did it get this bad?” There were a very few ways this could go down, and none of them good besides the fact Semper could answer down right, but that was something Adam could not control the ball was in Semper’s court.
