Chicago was literally floating. The only time she had ever felt anything like this was when she was with Semper, and it was never to this degree. Maybe it was because they'd been friends first. But with this guy, the minute she'd started talking to him, it was like BAM! There was a connection. A good one.

She kept her eyes trained on his, not willing to look away, he was that addicting. Heat rose to her cheeks as she told her she was beautiful and not to let anyone tell her any different. "..okay." She felt pathetic for only being able to manage one word, but that was really all she could muster. She didnt normally like beign told what to do, but with Kaleb it was okay. She felt like he had her best interests at heart, that she could be secure with him, that if she were with him, nothing could ever hurt her. In the space of half an hour she had found were she wanted to be for the rest of her life.

As his hand found her cheek, her heart started thumping un her chest even faster than it already was. Mesmerised by this guy, she found herself leaning in towards him, resting her forehead on his. He was addicting. She never wanted to be away from this guy ever again.

Chicago was one of a kind girl, and Kaleb met that one of a kind girl and he never thought he would after his pass. Maybe God was giving him another chance to be happy, and Kaleb was going to take it, it was so strange barely meeting Chicago and now he was feeling like had known her for a lifetime. If there was anyone who he could spend the rest his life with, it was her, it would always be her. He would never ever hurt Chicago, only the ones who hurt her, or threaten to hurt her in anyway.

Kaleb took a deep breath when he noticed her leaning closer to him, he felt her forehead against his, his eyes closed for a moment before letting out another soft sigh. He opened his eyes again before falling into her eyes again, then as a natural reaction he started to move his lips closers to her, but he didn't want to ruin it ont he first night of meeting her he wanted her to choose. He stopped a few inches as if asking if it was okay to kiss her. Afterall he didn't want to move things to fast, even though it was probably a little too late for that.

Chicago couldnt think of why she felt this way, but she honestly didnt care. She could hear her heart thump-thumping in her chest and her tummy was full of butterflies. If she never left this moment in time, she would die happy. Not that she wanted to die. She wanted to live her life with the amazing guy across from her. When she was with Kaleb, she forgot about all the boys that had hurt her before, forgot about the heartache that she was going through with Semper, forgot about her rollercoaster emotions. All that mattered was them.

Her breath caught in her throat as his lips moved closer to hers, then stopped, as if he was asking for her permission to kiss her. He was a gentleman. She hesitated only for a second, her forehead still resting on his, as she quickly pondered turning her head away. But she didnt want to. She searched those eyes once more and then slowly closed the distance between them until their lips touched.

Kaleb was hoping he wasn't ruining the moment after all he felt as if he was moving too fast, but what he felt for Chicago he hasn't felt in a long time ever since he left his hometown and moved to California. Kaleb would prove himself to Chicago that he would be faithful and would never hurt her, and protect her. After all he wasn't going to lose someone as beautiful, and as special as Chicago.

Kaleb waited patiently for Chicago to make a decision, if she didn't want to be kissed that would be fine with him, but if she did well he would feel like he could fly. Before he knew he felt their lips touch eachother, a tingling feeling went through his body as if feeling that she was the one for him, the hand that was resting on her cheek he gently placed on the back of her neck.

As their lips touched, Chicago felt the hand not supporting her move of its own free will to rest on his upper arm, at the same time a tingle ran through her whole body. Feeling abit giddy she gave as much of a smile as she could while kissing.

It was crazy, but Chicago was seriously thinking that she might love this guy. Which was kind of odd for her. She knew she loved Sage, in more ways than one. And she still loved Semper, even though he hurt her time and time again. And all her other friends that she had, she loved more than anything, but Kaleb was different. Maybe she just had a lot of love to give, being the daughter of Aphrodite and all. She didnt know. All she knew was that right now, she didnt want to leave this moment.

Kaleb's hand rested on Chicago's neck as he continued to kiss her, even her lips weres soft compared to his. His heart seem to pound faster and faster each passing moment when their lips were touching eachother, feeling her hand on his shoulder made him feel like the luckiest guy on the planet to be here with someone like Chicago, he started to wonder how he got so lucky.

After a few more moments he gently pulled away from her, his faced remained a few inches away from hers. He let out a soft sigh, that kiss was wonderful to him "So did I pass the interview?" He joked slightly, bringing up how nobody seem to apply for the position, and Kaleb was hoping that he finally was with the girl of his life.

Chicago's stomach felt like it was about to explode, it had so many butterflies in it. She felt lightheaded and could barely think straight. He felt...right. Their kiss, his hand on her neck, her hand on his arm, it all felt so natural.

As he broke the kiss, their heads still close, she flickered her eyes up to his and let out a shaky breath. That was arguably the best first kiss she'd ever had. She grinned as he asked if he'd passed. Undeniably. Grinning, she managed to string together a sentence "Only if you wanted to..." she wasnt usually cryptic, but she was in a great mood and knew that he would take that as a yes.

A small smile appeared on his face, god ,that kiss felt so right to him. Even though they just met half and hour ago Kaleb felt like he's known Chicago for his entire life, his life was defiantly taking a turn that he wanted, the right way. The chance to forget about the pass and actually be happy. He wasn't going to let Chicago unhappy like he made his parents, or his ex-girlfriend after what he got into back in his hometown, but how would he tell Chicago about his pass.

His eyes widened playfully at Chicago's statment "Well, I say that I passed the interview. He said with a smile at her. If there were only words to explain how beauitful she was, he wasn't going to let go of Chicago without a fight. He placed a gentle kiss on her head.

Chicago couldnt stop grinning. She felt like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland she was grinning that much. She did feel guilty about not being able to tell him she was a demigoddess. It placed him in too much danger, if he knew

Her breath caught in her throat as declared the interview passed. She was releived that he didnt just want to kiss her and run. "Well then I guess you passed, huh?" She blushed again as he kissed her head. He was so sweet it almost killed her.

Kaleb smiled at her he was glad that he came to the lake today. This would be a day to remember for the rest of his life, Chicago defiantly made a change in him that was for sure and he knew that he won the heart of the most prettiest girl at Richmond High School. He chuckled at Chicago's question but he decided to make it even, " Well, only if you agree, afterall i'm sure you don't want to end up with someone you don't want to be with. He said with a charming grin on his face.

She was so thankful that all her friends had plans today. Otherwise she never would have come to the lake. This day was shaping up to be one of the best days of her life.

His grin was contagious, "Rest assured, I agree. I dont think I could let myself get stuck with someone I didnt want to be with."

Kaleb smirked at Chicago's comment, "Yeah I can't see myself getting with someone I don't want to be with either. He said, lifting his eyebrows. He let his free hand gently touch her arm, then glide down to her hand that was resting on his shoulder his hand resting gently on top of hers, her hand was really smooth. Everything about Chicago was perfect...She was perfect to Kaleb in everyway, the way she talked, her hair, her eyes and even her kiss was perfect. "So whatta say? Am I worthy enough to be called your boyfriend? He asked her, giving her the puppy eyes hoping to get a laugh out of her. He loved the sound of her laughing, it was hearing an angel to him.

She gave him a smirk back. "Well I'm glad to hear that." she said teasingly, even though it was true. She felt his hand run down her arm to meet the hand that was still resting on his shoulder. She was getting all breathless again. He was so perfect, it was nuts.

She pretended to think about his question, teasing him, and then he threw her the puppy dog eyes. She gave a laugh. She was a sucker for the puppy dog eyes. She looked down at the ground, shoulders shaking with laughter. After a moment, she lifted her head back up, eyes twinkling. "Thats not fair! Puppy dog eyes are my weakness!"

Kaleb let out a soft high, all he wanted to do was kiss her again but being a gentlemen he didn't want to push it at all with Chicago. The last thing he would want to do is ruin this night with her, he wondered how he could he could meet someone so perfect, so gentle and so kind. He started to wonder if he should tell her about his past.

He took a deep hesitant sigh he looked away for a moment then back to Chicago he decided to tell her the truth before she made the final decision "Chicago, before you make your final decision, I have something to tell you. I don't exactly have the best past. I want to tell you before someone else does and ruins this." He said to her, hoping she wouldn't reject him after this.

Chicago smiled at Kaleb again. With the amount of smiling she'd done in the last hour, she'd have enough to last her two days.

She cocked her head to the side with a concerned look on her face. What was the problem? He had a bad past? Didnt everyone have one of those? She had her own secret that she wasnt allowed to tell anyone who was normal.... Though, judging by the look on his face, it was important to him that she know whatever it was before she made her decision, even though she already had. Plus, know she really wanted to know what he was talking about. "...Okay. I'm not quite sure I understand Kaleb...doesnt everyone have something behind them they want to forget?"
