Sarafina woke up and looked at the alarm it was a ten-thirty am, it looked so much later then that since she was still getting used to being back home in Nevada. It felt good to be home, since she was with her uncle and her cousins, Sarafina looked out the window to see the barn. She knew Rio and Pandora were waiting for her, to spend time with them since she's been doing that a lot since she came back to Nevada, leaving behind her friends and her brother Semper back in California. She looked at the group picture of her, Semper, Dodger, Chicago that was on the nightstand next to her bed a weak smile came onto her face. After getting a shower, and dressed she made herself something to eat, when she was done she walked out to the barn. She could already feel tears forming in her eyes, eventually she started to run towards the barn, she opened Rio's door then wrapped her arms around him, her head buried in his mane, "Rio, I made the worst decision in my entire life. I left everyone I care about back in California and now i'm here in Nevada. How could I be so stupid? She said to him, Rio pricked his ears back, listening to the sad voice of his beloved owner, Rio took a step back then nuzzled her hand in a loving, comforting way. Sarafina wiped the tears from her eyes then smiled at Rio. After taking care of Rio and Pandora who was now two months pregnant. She walked back to the house then laid on the couch, crying, she had personally fucked up her own life and now she was paying the price, she wanted to fix it. But how? It wasn't like she could just pack and go back to California......She seriously felt like jumping off a cliff, but what good would that do? She just laid there, hoping, praying for some time of a miracle. Sassifrass Cowgirl Outfit

"The usual?" The dark haired boy at the snow cone stand asked Dodger, who seemed to come by almost every day for his Silver Fox snow cone. The name never made much sense to him, but it was nothing but pure vanilla flavor. Not the healthiest thing in the world, but it was just enough to distract him. "Yeah, the usual. Too bad a snow cone can't fix a broken heart." He slapped a five dollar bill onto the counter and reached for his snow cone.
Dodger walked back to his car and leaned against the driver side door. He could go back to his dorm, and watch movies until he passed out or he could see if Kaleb was home. But he was missing something, even if he was trying his hardest to keep that thought out of his mind. He was twirling his keys around in his hands when the idea hit him like a train. It didn't matter to him if he had to drive a thousand miles, he was going after the one thing he managed to lose again. "Well, Ruby, it looks to me like we're going on a little adventure."
Dodger put the keys into the ignition and started his car, feeling the engine growl. Maybe Ruby wanted to go as much as Dodger did. He wasted no time in shifting gears and peeling out of the snow cone stand parking lot like a stunt double from The Fast and the Furious. He had a long drive ahead of him, and he wasn't sure how long his gas tank would last him. But all of that was pale in comparison to the real reason he was driving to the middle of nowhere, Nevada. Way to be a fucking dumb ass. He'd been telling himself that since the minute Sarafina told him she was packing up and leaving. She was fed up with Richmond, and fed up with him. On the outside, he was pretty good at covering up the damage but on the inside, he was a mess. He flew over the Nevada state border, a rush of emotions going through his head.

Sarafina looked at the clock it was 11:30 A.M. and there nothing to do then again she was out of the middle of nowhere. Even though she wasn't at Richmond anymore she missed her gang, Chicago, Semper and Dodger......more then anyone at Richmond. He had been such a nice guy to her, and this was how she repayed him, by leaving him to back to her hometown, for own well-being. But she also had a point, she was tired of getting hurt back at Richmond High School, and for Dodger this wasn't the first time he had hurt her. But even though he had hurt her again, she still had that feeling when she and Dodger had their first kiss. She was still in love with Dodger, and here was not even making an effort to go back.
She wiped a tear from her eye, then walked into the kitchen getting a glass of ice cold water, walking back to the living room turning on the t.v. to some random channel, but she had no intention of watching t.v. she looked her eyes remembering the goods times she had with her group of friends, eventually falling asleep. When she opened her eyes, she looked at the clock 1:30. She ran a hand through her blonde hair, while getting up from the couch, it was then she heard the sound of a engine, one that was too familiar. Sarafina thought she was hearing things until she heard the sound of the door closed, the sound of the locking alarm, she walked quickly to the window then saw the guy who had been thinking about ever since she left Richmond. She walked towards the door placing her hand on the doorknob, she closed her eyes then took a deep breath before opening the door, and walking out onto the porch.

She would know it was before she even saw his car. The sound of Ruby's engine gave it away. His car skidded to a stop and he rolled down the windows, trying to get a better look. Dodger knew knew this was the right place when he saw Sarafina's old black car parked near the barn. He got out of the car and leaned against the door, thinking about the last time she saw him. There were times when even Dodger himself failed to understand the way he acted. He loved her, but wasn't very good at showing it. But for as long as he could remember, he'd always had a smart mouth and was sarcastic from day one. It was something most people had to deal with, or just leave. Sarafina had chosen the second option and he'd been dealing with the consequences ever since. It was times like these were he wished somebody would smack the hell out of him, in hopes that he would gain some sense from it.
He saw her standing on her front porch. Dodger could only imagine what she was thinking and feeling when she heard his car speeding up the driveway. He had enough of staying in Richmond and feeling sorry about himself, that got him absolutely nowhere. If you want her, you gotta go get her. He remembered he heard that from somebody and when he was standing there at the snow cone stand, he decided maybe that was right. He looked at the ground and kicked at it lazily, looking back up and meeting Sarafina's gaze.

Sarafina knew that she still loved Dodger but she was tired of getting hurt, Sarafina knew that she had been hurt enough to last her an entire lifetime. Seeing Dodger there infront of her was enough to know that he still cared about her, but it was the matter of him changing was what she cared about the most. Of course, he was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with but she was afraid of getting hurt again.
Just seeing Dodger there was enough to make her heart jump as if it was going a hundred miles an hour, feeling Dodger meet her gaze she stepped down from the porch onto the gravel but didn't move another step, she looked away for a moment before looking back at him. Sarafina did miss a lot of things about her relationship with Dodger, his kiss, the way his arms felt around her, there was so much she missed in their relationship that it felt like she was missing a part of herself.

He'd give anything just to know what she was thinking and feeling as she stood there, looking at him. Dodger was always a little difficult to love, even Sarafina knew that. Being with him was just a risk she would have to take, and he was hoping she would be willing to take it. He decided that he had been standing there for long enough, he needed to do what he had came for anyway. "Listen, you're probably still pissed at me....but I just drove nonstop from California to see you." He didn't like not seeing her everyday after school, and knowing she was gone felt like a swift kick in the stomach. It was a smack in the face, one that would slowly but surely knock just enough sense into him.
(Blaaaaaaah, I had to go clean dishes.)

When she watched Dodger walk closer to her she felt her heart beat faster and faster with every step he took. She just wanted to jump into his arms and kiss him, of course she missed him, Dodger was there since the begining of their friendship then that flame grew. She let out a deep sigh as he just stood there infront of her, she looked into his eyes as he spoke, Sarafina knew that he was hurting, he was showing it and she knew Dodger well enough that he was also hurting on the inside. Sarafina didn't know what to say, but she knew what Dodger was doing by coming all the way here.

He jumped into his car and burned rubber until he got here. Then he slammed on his breaks only to see her standing on her porch with disbelief in her eyes. It was a spur of the moment decision he made as he sat there at the snow cone stand. He had enough of feeling sorry for himself, and pretending like he was okay just wasn't working for him. The only thing keeping him from Sarafina was the long and open road ahead of him.
She didn't say anything, instead she looked at him with a speechless expression. Perhaps she was, as if she couldn't believe that he would drive all the way out to Nevada just go come back for her. Someone had once told Dodger that if you really loved someone, you would do just about anything for them. You also never knew what you had until it walked away. "So...I would really like you to come back to Richmond with me."

Sarafina knew what Dodger was saying by him just coming here, but there were things that scared Sarafina from going back to Richmond, the event's with Bear and what he said to her when she got away, that she won't be able to escape for long. Was enough to keep her here but now that Dodger came all the way out to the middle of nowhere just to get her back was enough to say that she could always count on him no matter what.
"Dodger, i'm scared that i'm gonna get hurt again......not by you but by others" She said to him, "Why do you want me back after me running out on you like that?" She asked looking up at him, she was trying to hold back the tears that started to form in her eyes, not wanting to start crying over past events. The way she treated Dodger, the way she left him was making her think that she would never get him back but now he was here.

She had her reasons for wanting to stay here, he understood that. But with him, Semper, Chicago, and Kaleb she had nothing to worry about. They would have her back and help her through anything without even thinking twice. Dodger would drop everything if she ever needed him to, and she knew that. He wasn't very good at showing him, but Sarafina was the best thing that ever happened to him. Even when she felt like smacking him, she loved him anyway. "Because to be honest, my life freaking sucks without you." It was a blunt way of putting it, but he didn't know how else to word it.
Dodger took a few more steps up the stairs, until he was close enough to lean in and kiss her. "I know you don't want to come back, but I drove all this way and I'm not leaving without you."

Sarafina knew she had a lot of people she can count on at Richmond, the people she held close to her. It was they were her non-related family that she could always count on no matter what the situation was. But Dodger was the one she want to first, when she heard that his life sucked without her, she looked Dodger in the eyes, it was then she knew that he still loved her, it seemed his loved for her never faltered.
Sarafina let out a soft sigh as she stared into his eyes, when she heard that he came all the way here and wasn't leaving without her she knew that he was telling the truth "Dodger........" as all she could say from his words about how he wasn't leaving without her. She looked away for a moment the back to Dodger, the way he was so close to her was making her want to kiss him but she didn't know if Dodger wanted to or not.

He meant every word that he said to her, he was going to bring her back with him even if it was the last thing he did. "I don't want to live without you anymore." There wasn't another person in the world who could make him feel the way she did, even if he didn't show it as often as he needed to. He was close enough to lean in for a kiss, and for a minute he thought about it. But then he realized that he never had to think twice about kissing her. After all, he drove for hours without stopping once to see her again and bring her back home with him. Dodger leaned in even closer, kissing her like he'd wanted to for the past several hundred miles.
(I got tired, haha.)

The words she heard coming from his mouth was enough to make her heart jump back to life, with Dodger here she felt whole again there was no missing gap inside her anymore. Sarafina knew what Dodger would do to get her back, and he proved it by coming here to take her back to California. Sarafina watched him lean closer to her, when she felt his lips against hers, her eyes seemed to close on her loving the feeling of his lips against hers, she placed her hands on his chest, she knew her heart belong to Dodger for the rest of her life.

Graduation was a bittersweet thought for him, whenever he finally thought about it. He was glad to be getting out of high school, but he knew he would have to be away from Sarafina most of the time. She still had a year left, but that year would fly by before either of them new it. Everything seemed like a blur now, as he stood on her porch and kissed her. He'd come a long way from living on his own, surviving on his own since he he could remember. His parents both died within months of the other, and his world came crashing down on him before he could do anything to stop it. But Sarafina came along and started to pick up the pieces. Dodger was a proud pain in the ass, but she was one of the few people who knew that deep down, he was an entirely different person.
"So, what do you say?"
He looked up at her with his faded blue eyes that wanted nothing but to look at Sarafina forever.

When Sarafina felt their lips she looked down for a moment then back up at him, his kiss was something that knew would make her day better and make anything that was bothering her go away. It seemed that graduation was right around the corner for Dodger, she only wondered what was going to happen after Dodger left and went to College but so far it seemed their relationship was going back up it's peak. When he asked her about the decision to come back, she looked into his faded blue eyes.
"Okay, i'll go back with you. She said with a smile then hugging him tightly, knowing she almost lost the one thing that gave her a reason to live.
