I'm an awful social person. I really don't quite know how to talk to strangers even if my life depended on it. Maybe that was why while I was standing by this older guy I was completely avoiding eye contact, and even when I did have to look at him, I diverted my gaze to something behind him since we were about the same height, though I was just barely taller than him by an inch or two. He looked like a senior to me, though that didn't really bother me. Maybe I could actually be friendly with this guy, though "friendly" wasn't exactly in my vocabulary.
"Thanks," I replied, taking the cigarette and lighter from him. Setting the cigarette it my mouth, I brought the lighter up to it and used my free hand to shield any wind as I lit it, puffing out a few plume of smoke before returning the lighter to the guy. If felt good to have the familiar texture of the smoke in my lungs, dulling down my tense nerves. Maybe this party wouldn't be so bad after all. I looked back at this Kaleb guy, taking the cigarette out of my mouth for a moment to speak. "Devroux," I said, placing white stick back in my mouth and taking a deep breath, exhaling white smoke through my nose.
Hearing another voice, I turned to see who it was and was surprised to see that a girl had come over and just made herself welcome. Eh, maybe she knew Kaleb and was friends with him, but of course I didn't know; I had just transferred here, so I hardly knew anything about this school. But anyway, she was running her mouth about getting clocked for giving me a cigarette. "And you'll get clocked for underage drinking." I retorted flatly, and even though I didn't mean it in a harsh way, my tone said otherwise. "Devroux." I added, giving a short nod and puffing another small billow of smoke.

Kyosuke smiled as Hana commented on their first meeting upon the chat box. An obstacle had fallen, and he was now closer to the finish line. The boy paid no attention the Hanafs breast as she jumped up and down. What was the use of looking like a total pervert here when he could take his time and have her all for himself after a few months? Kyosuke gave Hana a reassuring smile after she tried to hide her breasts, how cute. His hands then submerged into the water as he checked the beach once more. A few more minutes, and then he could initiate his plans, when everyone was busy with their own activites. hYou okay? Kyosuke said as he raised an eyebrow. Pretending that Hanafs breast didnft bounce was probably the best measure of action, Kyosuke just needed to prolong the talking until the time was right. Swimming around Hana, Kyosuke quickly moved his hand up, splashing cold sea water onto Hana. Laughing, Kyosuke then darted off, making a distance between Hana and himself. Having a bit of fun wouldnft really hurt at all.

The temperature was dropping a little bit which seemed to make the water colder. Gah! I wasn’t used to the water being cold! Then again, it was winter and most normal people didn’t go swimming in the ocean in the winter because it was cold. If it got any colder I was probably going to get out and go warm up by that fire that I could see burning from the water. “Sorry. It’s getting kind of cold.” I began running my hands up and down my arms, attempting to warm them up. Sure, I was used to the cold since I had live in Sapporo for most of my life. We always got so much snow in the winter, so normally the cold didn’t affect me all too much. I guess this was what happened when a body adapted? I don’t know. Now would be a good time to have a squishie buddy to hold onto.
All of a sudden I felt water splash into my face? A look of utter shock appeared on my face and I could feel my cheeks turning bright red. Did Kyo just? Yes he did! He was going to pay! Gritting my teeth, I dove under the water and followed after him. When I reached him, I brought my legs up and splashed him in the face before diving back in and moving away. I hadn’t realized I was moving out deeper into the ocean until I popped up and could no longer feel the sand underneath my feet. The waves also seemed to be picking up which was not good. “Should I head back in?”

Dream laughed. Skinny dipping? hahhaha no. She would never do that, unless she drank too much, which she really didnt plan on doing.
Dream smiled at him. "Id love to dance" she said. Thats one of the many reasons she loved parties. She could dance with actual people and not have to embarrass herself by dancing around her dorm room with one of her pets.

After she said yes to him asking her to dance he Stood up and walked over to her front and smiled as he offered her a hand. "Ill try not to step on your toes" He smirked a little with his comment as he waited for her to take his hand. Really he was a decent dancer. And rather enjoyed it.
He looked around a little and to find a good spot, which was simply since their was a open area near where the music was located. Granted this was not a huge party where their was live bands and crazy shit but still it should and would be a rather good night.
(Dream are they going out in this thread or no? lol figured Id ask lmfao.)

(hmmmm...Sure xD)
Dream giggled. "You sould be worried about me stepping on your toes" She said and took his hand, getting to her feet. She wasnt a terrible dancer, she was usually pretty good, depending on what type of song was playing and all that.

He smiled and helped her up. He could not help but laugh a little at her comment. He knew better. she was a decent dancer as well, much like himself, no not the best in the world but music depending and mood both where decent enough not to look like idiots. "Eh im not worried, and even If you do I still love you." He was glad that she was his girlfriend now, made things much easier and he rather enjoyed not being how he used to be.
As the she stood he held her hand and walked towards where the music was. Of course their was no one their yet but he hopped if Dream and himself started then maybe others would join them? But if not he would still have a good time. Their was a decent song one that would be decent to dance to and he looked a Dream. "What kind of dance would you like?"

Kyosuke smiled as Hana followed after him, how cute. But it wasnft so cute after she kicked water in his face. She could swim that fast? Wiping off the salt water in his face, Kyosuke shook his head, water droplets flying out in all direction before he dived. Popping back up behind, Kyosuke gave her a little tap on the back before diving again. It was almost time, just a little bit more. At this point Kyosuke had no trouble swimming at all, it was like the water was a home he had lived in for all of his life. Going back up, Kyosuke smiled, this was definitely fun. As Hana gone deeper into the ocean, Kyosuke followed her, ready to set off his plan. Kyosuke closed his eyes as he imagined a big wave thatfll go over Hana. It wasnft surprising that a big wave will come, but it wasnft going to come in a flash, at least, when Kyosuke was commanding the water. When will it appear? 5 seconds passed by, and nothing. 10 seconds maybe? Zip. When was it going to come? Kyosuke was unsure, but if Hana moved away then itfll be all for naught. Moving in front of Hana, Kyosuke blocked her view. hHow was your day?h Kyosuke asked confidently, he had to stall her. At least, until the wave came.

I never really liked Markus. He always seemed on edge with Sage and he just never really talked to me, so since he never bothered me, I don't bother him. So when I heard about the beach party he was hosting, I originally hadn't anticipated going. I had many other things I could've done, but the sheer curiosity I had towards the ocean made me do otherwise. I had never seen the ocean before, so I figured that this would be a good opportunity to actually do something I've never done before.
Of course, since my keys were still missing, I had to walk. Not that I didn't mind it; I needed the exercise anyway. But lately it's been really bugging me that I couldn't find the damn keys. Gah, Sage was right: I need to install tracker things in everything I own.
When I reached the beach, oh wow. I never thought that it would be that vast.... wow. I was used to mountains and only being able to see for maybe a mile if you're lucky, but this? Being able to see as far as the eye can see? It kind of freaked me out, but I liked it. A lot of water to swim in. Now if only I could avoid the sharks....
Venturing out onto the beach, I saw Markus and a lot of people mingling and talking, some smoking and some drinking, and then I saw Dream and Vince dancing. Well, now! It's about damn time! Heh. But anyway, as my eye scanned the area, I spotted Chicago sitting by herself over by the tide, so I decided to go over and sit next to her.
"Hey Chicago," I said, placing myself down onto the sand. "How're y' tonight?"

Digging a bit of a hole in the ground, Chicago placed her soft drink can in it and packed the sand back in the hole to keep the can in place. Instant drink holder. Adjusting her sunnies on her face, Chicago twisted to look behind her and saw Vince and Dream had started dancing. She couldnt help but grin. Those two were made for eachother and she was so glad they'd stopped denying it (Dream anyways) and started dating. Still smiling, Chicago turned back around and looked at the ocean. It was so pretty. And supposedly the birthplace of her mother.
Opting for a chage of scenery, she flopped backwards so her head gave a soft thump on the sand. Now she could cloud watch. She kicked her black flip flops off and realised her hair would be full of sand later, but she really didnt care at this point in time. She folded her hands over her bare stomach, as her hoodie had fallen open. She was in a bit of a who cares mood, but in a good way. Suddenly she heard someone sitting down beside her. Turning her head to the side her face lit up with a smile as she saw Semper had arrived and settled himself on the sand next to her. "Hey Semp." she said, looking up at him from the ground. "Better now you're here" which was the truth, "And what about yourself?" ----- outfit: here

Swimming was really like second nature to me. My mother always commented on how I had first learned how to swim before I could even walk. It made me feel weird sometimes especially when I would win a competition because she would always mention it. She was pretty good in general at making me feel weird in general. My thoughts popped like a bubble when I felt something light tap my back and quickly turned around only to see the top of Kyo's head go back under the water. I followed after him, determined to catch up and kick his butt with my awesomeful swimming and splashing skills. We were so deep that I didn't think that Kyosuke could reach the bottom either. I gave him a light airy smile when I answered his question. "It has been pretty awesome so far, but homework is killing..."
Oh snap! Suddenly a wave went over us and all I could do was close my eyes. It was like a huge truck had hit me with all of its might. I was being pulled deeper into the water until I felt my body connect with the the bottom. My rib hit the rock hard bottom so hard that the force caused me to open my mouth. Salt water rushed in, inadvertly choking me as I struggled to move my body up towards the surface. It would be really lame if I died or got hurt in the element I was most comfortable in. I needed to get up to the surface fast, though, or I was going to pass out from the lack of air.

hThatfs nice. Kyosuke smiled sincerely as they got back up to the surface of the ocean. When was that wave coming? 20 seconds? 30 seconds? Looking around, the ocean looked peaceful, and no waves seemed to have started approaching them. When he was younger, Kyosuke was attracted to the sea 24/7. It was so vast and wide, and if you treated it with respect, then it will treat you the same. His mother though, unlike Kyosuke, seemed to have gazed at the sea longingly years ago. hWhy did she do that?h Kyosukefs child self would have thought. But it all seemed to make sense now, where the Kyosuke of the present stood. Looking around, Kyosuke managed to see the wave coming. hItfs time to act. He thought to himself, bracing for the wave to swallow them both. As Hana sunk, Kyosuke was thrown back a bit. Sure, he had the power to control water, but it was still somewhat new to him. Eyes alert, Kyosuke looked from side to side until he had found Hana. Poor girl, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Swimming towards her, Kyosuke gheroicallyh grabbed her body with his two hands, and carried her to the surface of the ocean. He felt her skin touch his own as he closed his eyes, light shining brighter in his face as his goal line seemed closer. Finally making it to the surface, Kyosuke breathed as much air as he could before he cradled Hana, and made his way towards the beach. hHana!!! Are you okay?!h Kyosuke asked with a hint of fear in his voice. What? Whoever said Kyosuke wasnft an excellent actor? As Kyosuke placed Hana on the sandy beach, he softly placed his on the lower middle part of her ribcage. Maybe a little CPR would do the trickcc

The sand felt abnormally warm beneath me as I sat there, but hey, I'm not complaining. It's a whole lot better than sitting on freezing concrete when the cold just seems to seep into your skin and turn your blood to ice. Maybe it was because it had been abnormally warm the past few days... yeah, that seemed to be the only logical answer.
I looked at her as she answered, making me giving a small chuckle. "Yeah right," I said, smiling. "Y' seemed t' be havin' a grand ol' time b'fore I showed up." She honestly did seem to have been doing well before I disturbed her peace, but ah well. "I've been pretty good...." I turned my head and looked back down at the sand, feeling a pressure against my pocket. I had finally finished the wooden swan I had planned to give to her and I was being as careful as I could to not break its outstretched wings and so far I was doing fine. After a moment I reached into my pocket and took the sculpture out carefully, the sanded-down cedar smooth against my calloused fingers. I couldn't help but very faintly smile at the multi-brown colored swan; I had put so much attention to detail in it that I was almost too scared to sand it, but I did and I'm really thankful. It's no fun having a wooden sculpture with jagged and pointy edges.
"I, uh... I made this for you..." One hand went to rub the back of my neck awkwardly as the other extended the bird on the verge of flight over to Chicago. Hopefully she wouldn't see it as a stupid gift... I had no money to buy anything nice and I just happened to come across a tossed block of cedar. I didn't think it was that good, but eh, at least the cedar smelled nice.

Chicago basked in just being there with Semper, not having to worry about filling awkward silences. It was great. They had a really good companionable silence. They didn't have to stress about doing something stupid or saying something retarded. They were best friends. But she wanted more. Way to awkwify the situation.
Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, she looked up at Semp again as he answered, and then gave a laugh and raised an eyebrow at him underneath her sunglasses, "Did I really? Wow, I'm a better actress than I thought..." she mused, then continued, "Semper, I was sitting in the dirt, by myself. When did that get fun? Cant you just beleive me when I tell you I'm glad you're here?" she said, careful to keep her tone even. She was a tad exasperated. In what universe was sitting by yourself at a praty fun? Especially when you're a social butterfly.
She lifted her head from the ground slightly as his words sunk in. Sitting up, she shifted so she was facing him and pushed her sunglasses off her eyes to the top of her head. She was gobsmacked. Sitting in his outstretched hand was a carved wooden swan. Her breath caught in her throat as she reached out hesitantly towards it. Her eyes flickered to his as she sat there speechless. -------- notes: :S lol

I snickered lightly. "I believe you." I told her, giving a small smile. My free hand fell back down into my lap, fidgeting with a loose fold in my jeans. I don't know why I was so nervous all of a sudden; she was my best friend, right? So why did I feel like she was someone I had just met? I couldn't figure it out so I just dropped the mental subject.
When she fell silent after I presented the swan, it kind of freaked me out. Did she not like it? I know that when I don't like something I usually go silent, so was that what she was doing? But she was reaching out to it, though. My hand with the swan was still, waiting to see if she'd take it. "S' a little bugger," I commented. "Took me forever t' sand." I wasn't really sure what else to say so I just kept quiet for bit.
